I have chosen Camellia Estates for my husband. They provide extensive care, and I'm very happy with it. His room is not only functional but beautiful. The staff is very caring and above-and-beyond helpful. They provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and mental clarity. He went into skilled nursing, but he's in assisted living now. They have activities and dining, but we have only been there awhile.

My mom stayed in Camellia Estates after her first stroke. She kind of liked it. She actually liked that she knew people and everyone has that Southern charm so it was really nice. They were very nice to her. The facility was okay. It wasn't the best, and it wasn't the worst. It was just a little dingy but other than that it was okay. We actually looked to getting back to Camellia Estates again after her hospital stay here in Houston but they never got back in touch with the case worker there. I called and they never got responded back to me. I don't know who the manager was at the time but they did not follow up at all.

This is the WORSE place ever!! The lack of care, and education of the nursing staff is ridiculous. They are only there for a paycheck. They are sarcastic and ignored my loved one and never had a bath or therapy while he was in there. They lied to me and told me he was fine and an hour later he was in ICU with pneumonia, blood clots, and abdominal infection. Do not send your loved one there. The weekend nurses do not have an ounce of compassion in their body!! My loved one almost died because of the lack of care there!! The rooms were filthy!! Pathetic!!!

My family member was here for rehabilitation care. He was neglected and was fed cold food everyday. The nurses never answered the call from his room when he needed assistance. He was getting worse as time went on. I begged the nursing staff to admit him to hospital and was ignored. Finally after he went into sepsis shock and temp of 104 he was sent to hospital. He had pneumonia and 2 blood clots. He had a chest X-ray the day before and nursing staff told me it was fine. They lied to me and staff was lazy. My family member had to beg for a bath after being there for 5 days. Don’t send your loved one there if you love them!!

This facility is wonderfully friendly & attentive. It is clean, healthy meals, excellent nursing staff - My mom has lived here one year + and has been well taken care of in even the most difficult of times.
