"My cousin is in a memory care unit at The Phoenix at Hammond and so far, everything's been wonderful. It wasn't like the first one we put him in. The whole staff is wonderful. They're all caring. They know him. They get to know all of their patients by name and whenever they have their activities and stuff, there's always interaction with them from the employees. Once a week, they bring them out on a scenic tour on the bus. The food is better than what it was at the other place. There's always a menu printed out weekly knowing what he's having for breakfast, noon, and supper. They're so good at interacting with them. It's worth every penny. They keep you updated with what's going on with them or if something happens. After we got through talking and meeting the staff, they answered all of our questions. I just had a feeling that it would be a good fit for our family to be here and it's closer for us to get to him instead of going all the way to Baton Rouge."

"My mother will be moving into Christwood, and she's going to be in independent living. I like the fact that it is so welcoming. It offers a buddy system right off the bat so that my mom can learn how to get around and meet people. It has tons of activities for her. For my mother, they have Bridge, singing, dancing, acting, choir, and writing, the things she's most interested in. We had lunch there. They have several places, and we ate in the cafe and it was delicious. The food was very good. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. It was beautiful, clean, organized, and easy to get around."

"Sage Lake Senior Living at Covington is a beautiful place to live. There are lots of areas to socialize. There are lots of activities for people who can do it. They have religious services, arts and crafts, and bingo. They keep residents very involved. Everybody is extremely nice and pleasant. No attitude. I tried the food, and it was delicious. The facility is beautifully decorated. There are chandeliers and a gorgeous dining area. The rooms are nice and clean. Everybody is well taken care of. They have church and take them shopping if they want to, but my mom hasn't done that. They take them to Walmart or Target occasionally if they want to go. As for value for money, I was paying much more at another place and this one is much nicer."

"It was very nice. The assisted living is definitely the way to go for the elderly. It looked like it was restaurant style when they went to eat. They had a bar and a library. It was a very nice facility. The tenants looked happy there. What I didn't see was the day-to-day care, like help to the bathroom and help getting dressed. I didn't see that there, but they said it exists because everyone had their own room. But as for assisted living and for people more independent, it looked ideal. The staff looked very caring and very attentive, and they interacted with all the tenants. Clearly, people are loved and welcomed. The facility was very clean. They have a restaurant-style dining area. It was topnotch."

"Fidelis Northshore I was wonderful. The two owners were very hands-on, knowledgeable, very friendly, and spent a lot of time with me (more than once), whenever they were available. I thought that the care was excellent. They really cared, and when my husband was there they would Facetime with me three times a day. It was very clean. It was a home, and I liked that when you walked in you felt like you were in somebody's house, except they had a lot of recliners and things like that. It was very homey. I went to the bathroom once, and it was just sparkling clean. It was on a wooded two-acre lot, and it looked just like a house. It was well maintained outside, too. I was never there for a meal, but I think they fed him all the time with snacks and everything. I walked in once, and they were all sitting at a table coloring and doing different things. He was at a different facility that was very expensive and the nursing type care was very good, but I think Fidelis Northshore I was a better place, and it was a much better value all the way around."

"Fidelis Northshorez II was a little bit newer than the other place we looked at, and it was gorgeous. The exterior was beautiful, and the inside was wonderful. The owner was great. My experience with them was five-stars. It was different from a commercial, larger place, but that's what I liked about it. It was great. I was impressed."

"My great grandmother loved it there. She had her own room with a small fridge and her own bathroom. She was able to decorate it as she saw fit. She was able to keep much of her independence while still getting the care she needed when she needed it. She made new friends and participated in the activities, which were many and varied. She kept in shape by walking a mile a day on the floors of the facility. The staff were very courteous and always attentive to the needs of the residents as well as the visitors. I would recommend this facility to anyone with a relative that needs to live in an environment with independence as well as assistance when need be. "

"The staff is amazing at this facility! They are always looking out for the best interest of their residence. I applaud them for all the precautions they have taken with everything going on to keep the residence safe and well. The grounds and facility are breath taking and so beautiful. I could go on and on about the director and asst director. They help however and whenever they can. That means a lot! They definitely go above and beyond. I am forever grateful for all the staff and residence for being so and kind! Absolute Best assisted living community around by far!! Do yourself a favor and go check them out!"

"Twin Oaks Nursing Home is one of the finest nursing and convalescent facilities in this area. One of the first thing you will notice when you walk through their doors is how clean and fresh the place is. Though the residents share a room, the rooms are large and comfortable. Each resident has their own phone and television with DIRECTV at no extra charge. They have plenty of well thought out activities for the residents such as, a pep rally on game day for our local pro. Football team. A resident's production of "The birth of a King". Since it's so close to New Orleans,every Mardi Gras, they have a Mardi Gras Ball. They pick a king and queen and a local elementary class comes by and they have a parade. They have a well trained staff that keeps tracked of the resident's medication, their nutritional needs and their overall wellbeing. They see to their doctor's appointments and provide transportation.As you can see, Twin Oaks Nursing Home is a well organize, clean and fun place for those who are in need. I highly recommend it. "

"Both of my parents have been living in Maison de Fleur's Assisted Living facility in Denham Springs, LA since July 14th, 2018 since my dad's stroke. It took them about 2 months to get acclimated and feel like they were home. From that point, they both have been extremely happy and enjoy their living experience at Maison. They enjoy the staff, the outings, the planned activities, the entertainment & parties. As the adult child helping them through their elder years, it is encouraging to know they are being well taken care of and are happy. I highly recommend Maison for all of your Assisted Living needs for your family. They have a library, Salon and weekly bible studies, too, which my parents enjoy. The food is a good, usually dessert too after each meal. Rooms are a great size and the monthly rates are reasonable."
