"We looked at The Windsor Senior Living Community. The place was very clean. Everything was in place, and it was neat. The residents seemed to be very comfortable there. It was accessible to local grocery stores and different things. It's a nice place. The rooms and the bathrooms were very sizable. You couldn't get a lot of furniture in because you can't take everything with you, but I think the rooms were of a nice size. The dining area was beautiful. The residents were comfortable. There was no confusion or anything going on. They were served well. The food was good. They just gave us a lot of information. They were ready to answer any question. The staff members were polite. We enjoyed the tour. The place is well taken care of. The staff was well dressed and ready to help."

"We toured Summerfield of Hammond. They were very accommodating. The visit was on time and showed me every aspect of the facility that would be needed. They showed me the independent, the dining area, and the general meeting area. They had some activities going on at that time for the residents that were engaging. They also showed the laundry room and all the necessities you would need in the facility. There were appliances, and you brought in your own furniture that you wanted. They have a refrigerator and microwave. They serve three meals a day. The residents could also request a snack. It was like a restaurant-type setting, you sat down at the table, and someone came and asked you what you wanted. There were some choices, and then they brought the meal to you just like you were at a little restaurant. The building was very nice and clean."

"Sage Lake Senior Living at Covington is a beautiful place to live. There are lots of areas to socialize. There are lots of activities for people who can do it. They have religious services, arts and crafts, and bingo. They keep residents very involved. Everybody is extremely nice and pleasant. No attitude. I tried the food, and it was delicious. The facility is beautifully decorated. There are chandeliers and a gorgeous dining area. The rooms are nice and clean. Everybody is well taken care of. They have church and take them shopping if they want to, but my mom hasn't done that. They take them to Walmart or Target occasionally if they want to go. As for value for money, I was paying much more at another place and this one is much nicer."

"Christwood Retirement Community is one of the finest communities that I’ve ever visited. It’s a lifelong facility. They have individual houses, and they have apartments that have constant care. It’s located next to an Episcopal school where they have intergenerational programs, so that helps the older people keep young. I think they’re expensive, but the service is impeccable. I know all the people there, and they’re well taken care of. It’s a great place if you can afford it. "

"It was very nice. The assisted living is definitely the way to go for the elderly. It looked like it was restaurant style when they went to eat. They had a bar and a library. It was a very nice facility. The tenants looked happy there. What I didn't see was the day-to-day care, like help to the bathroom and help getting dressed. I didn't see that there, but they said it exists because everyone had their own room. But as for assisted living and for people more independent, it looked ideal. The staff looked very caring and very attentive, and they interacted with all the tenants. Clearly, people are loved and welcomed. The facility was very clean. They have a restaurant-style dining area. It was topnotch."
