"My friend moved into Whealdon Estates, and it's beautiful. They're very nice, very helpful, and I would recommend them to anybody. She has a 1-bedroom apartment, it holds everything she needs, and she loves it there. There's always activities going on, like crafts, games, and they always have coffee and snacks for her."

"I saw Lakewood Sherwood Village for a tour. I like it. It was clean, pretty, roomy, and nice. The tour was great. The staff showed me how well the room was set up. She didn't have an empty one right then, but she took me to one to let me see how it looked and how the furniture could be put in. I went to the kitchen, and you can either eat in their room if they want or eat in the dining room. I looked at the grounds. It was very open, very clean, and there was lots of light. It was a great place. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was great. Gabby was really good. With regards to food, when you move there, you get breakfast and lunch. If you want supper or a snack, it might cost you a little more money."

"She's already been placed at Williamsburg Retirement Community. The staff are awesome. They are great and very personal. The rooms were very large with lots of storage. The food is very, very good. They do have buffet style with white table cloths and flowers on the table. Their dining room is very elegant. They have bingo and trips to Walmart. They have a hair salon. They do exercise, do get togethers, and play games. "

"Holly Court Assisted Living is a very nice place. Holly Court is a very nice place. They had an area where they created stuff, where you do different pictures. I liked that. They were also very professional, friendly, kind, and wheelchair accessible. The food was good, I'm a big eater, and I tested everybody's food. I went around lunchtime for that purpose, so they invited me to come around that time. They have games."

"Southside Gardens is probably where my father would go. It fits better within his budget. The amenities were good. The staff was very friendly and very caring. They have 2 different types of private area. The private rooms were smaller than those at another community, but the staff appeared to be just as caring. It was not as new, but the location was just as close to my father's present house, and the price was more fitting with his income at present without getting any assistance. And if residents needed to have special appointments, they were able to bring them to that and stay with the residents if they needed to."

"The Claiborne at Baton Rouge is clean, pretty, and stylish. We went to look at their assisted living for my parents. They have what they call a rehab, where the residents exercise to get them moving. There is also a common area for activities. We tried their food. The service was good, but the taste of the food wasn't as good as the other places we went to."
