"Azaela Estates has been a very good fit for our family. The Matriarch of our family enjoys staying there, and the rest of the family enjoys peace of mind that she is being well-cared for. It is a comfort to know she receives three meals a day, and staff members are available to check on her at all times. She finds it convenient to be able to have her hair and nails done on site and have transportation available for errands. We have all been pleased with Azalea Estates and look forward to our continued relationship. "

"The Windsor is a very nice place. The people there go above and beyond to help you out and get you settled in. The people that work there are very helpful and very nice. The people that live there are very friendly. My father tells me he loves it there. He always tells me how good the food is. Price is comparable to all the other ones. It is very convenient and very clean. It is really good. We are very satisfied. The meals are included in the price, and he gets two meals a day. There is plenty of amenities and things to do. Every day, there is something going on. They have bingo, pool tables, darts, bands, and different people come in and out to entertain them. They have someone that comes in and does exercise with them. Every day, he's doing something. They get to come and go as they please because it's independent living. He has a scooter that he gets around in. The place is beautiful. They are in the process of updating some sections of it. When the air conditioner broke in his apartment, they put him up in the suite for five days because they had to get somebody to come and fix the air-conditioner. The guy said it couldn't be fixed, so they moved him to a different room completely. They have a cleaning service. They wash your clothes if you want for extra money. They clean the room for you, and they have bus service that takes you to and from the doctors' offices. He is really enjoying it. He has his meals in the dining room, and since he had a stroke, they cut his food up for him. It is like family over there. The people are just really nice and friendly. He says it is like being on a cruise ship because everything is done for you. Everything is really nice and every day there is something to do. Every day there is some kind of fun activity. The people are really nice. They have more guys for him to hang out with and that's what he liked."

"SummerHouse Park Provence is excellent. I've been going there for years for meetings and it's beautiful. The people are nice and very friendly. They go out of their way to have activities for the seniors. I'm doing a meeting for another volunteer group. They just loaned us the meeting space. But our group does volunteer like we sang Christmas carols and we do things for them occasionally. They have concerts, they do door decorating, and they do crafts. We had some bingo games for them, and they have bingo every day."

"Summerfield of Slidell was very pleasant, and the people who work there are very pleasant too. My uncle is in a studio apartment. It's very well laid out compared to other facilities' studio apartments. They have a lot of activities, but he hasn't been able to adjust to doing their activities yet. I feel like they have quite a number of activities, both on location and remote. He said all three meals that he gets are excellent. They have a courtyard and little reading library areas. They have various places in the facility where they can sit, and books are available to them. There's a beautiful walking path and a courtyard for dogs and animals."

"My sister was at Whispering Pines of Picayune. I liked it. They had no warning that we were coming to look, and that was just right around 10:00 in the morning, but there was no smell, and it was just spotless. I also liked the fact that it was all private rooms. It's billed as independent living for seniors. In other words, if they have a car, they can leave. In my sister's case, she was bedridden, she could not get up and she was in hospice, and the hospice nurse just raved about how good they were. They took care of my sister, who just passed away. We paid extra to have my sister monitored every two hours. The staff members were helpful, and kind and did what they said they would do. When my other sister and I went in to look at it, we both came back and told my sister that either one of us would be happy to live there. Picayune is a poor place and it's not my favorite by any means, but Whispering Pines was like a gem hidden away. It was awesome. My sister was an excellent cook and baker and very picky, and she said all the meals were good. Once a month, they get together with the residents and ask if there's something they would like on the menu or if they'd rather not have it on the menu, and they got feedback from the residents. If you move in there, you don't have to worry about anything. They do your laundry, they do your food, they have games, and they have a movie night. All of those are included in what you get. However, they do not furnish the furniture, so you bring your stuff from home. "
