"Good Samaritan Nursing home is really doing their job in taking care of him. My friend does not even want to leave the place. He had been there for some time. I am just having problems now in working the insurance for him but the place is good and he is treated well. I am currently looking for an assisted living facility since he's getting okay. I think that he can move to an assisted living. "

"My mother was admitted here and was having acute dementia and we had Power of Attorney. I was notified confidentially (due to fear of losing her job ) by one of her caregivers within the facility that she witnessed my mother being sexually assaulted by another resident. After questioning my mother, my worst fears came true as my mother was able to recall that this did occur on multiple occasions. I quickly transferred my mother out of this facility and called a meeting with the Director of nursing and the nurse manager regarding these incidents. Myself and my fiancée’, upon confronting this, my severely demented mother consented to this, although she was very confused to the point where she didn’t understand that what happened to her what was wrong! But she was able to recall that this residents had AIDS! After I became upset and explained this to the DON, she DID advise me that my mothers physician was notified by telephone. However, when I requested for my mothers sexual assault to be reported to the police , I was advised that that would not be happening!!!After receiving my mother’s medical records., it was very clear that not only was my mother’s doctor not notified, my mother being raped was not even documented! It sickens me that even something as severe as this is hidden from family and MD’s! If you love your family at all, pls do NOT use this place!!!!! They should be in prison! I will never heal from the trauma this place has caused my family!"

"Rooms are small need updated, broken furniture, laundry lost half of residents clothes. The amount charged for rooms/ services etc. Isn't worth it"

"Billdora Senior Care was awesome. The staff, service, and caring were superb and we had no complaints about it whatsoever. The rooms were kept clean, and the place smelled fresh and clean all the time. It was really great, and the food was good. They took excellent care of my father-in-law, so much so that he didn't want to leave. They called us about everything and anything they did, no matter what it was. Our experience there was the best. They had snow cone days several times while he was there, where they brought them outside for snow cones. They had movies, all kinds of crafts and different things, and offered a lot, although my father-in-law didn't do much."

"My mother fell and cracked her pelvis at home. She spent two weeks in rehab because that's all Medicare would pay for . We brought her to Tangi Pines because our Dr said they were the best nursing home in the parish when it comes to preventing bed sores and they had a great rehab department. My mom got physical therapy and occupational therapy for two months. They had her walking in one week . Medicare part A covered the therapy in the nursing home . It actually covers 100 days of therapy but it only took 50 plus days. The staff was great. What I liked is she had the same caretaker each day because most employees have been there for a long time . The place is small but she got a lot of one on one care and a lot of TLC. Mom is home now and back to her old self but in a much better way. Thank You Tangi Pines I highly recommend this Nursing Facility "

"I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. Everybody and all the services that they offer were good. The rooms were really nice. It's not too old of a facility. So, everything was updated and modernized. The rooms were big that you could bring some of your own furniture in. They had a big courtyard and several different common areas with couches and furniture where several people could come to visit. It's just an overall great tour experience."
