My mother was admitted here and was having acute dementia and we had Power of Attorney. I was notified confidentially (due to fear of losing her job ) by one of her caregivers within the facility that she witnessed my mother being sexually assaulted by another resident. After questioning my mother, my worst fears came true as my mother was able to recall that this did occur on multiple occasions. I quickly transferred my mother out of this facility and called a meeting with the Director of nursing and the nurse manager regarding these incidents. Myself and my fiancée’, upon confronting this, my severely demented mother consented to this, although she was very confused to the point where she didn’t understand that what happened to her what was wrong! But she was able to recall that this residents had AIDS! After I became upset and explained this to the DON, she DID advise me that my mothers physician was notified by telephone. However, when I requested for my mothers sexual assault to be reported to the police , I was advised that that would not be happening!!!After receiving my mother’s medical records., it was very clear that not only was my mother’s doctor not notified, my mother being raped was not even documented! It sickens me that even something as severe as this is hidden from family and MD’s! If you love your family at all, pls do NOT use this place!!!!! They should be in prison! I will never heal from the trauma this place has caused my family!

If you care about your family member in the least bit, DON'T EVEN THINK OF PUTTING THEM HERE. The staff is rude, nothing is ever their fault. Your family member is always lying. Staff never follows up with doctors appointments. They will put. You on hold for up to 20 minutes then hang up. My Brother is there. Was just supposed to be there for 6 months for therapy and that was over a year ago. He's dying, and they don't care. Somebody needs to start at administration and clean house, all the way down to housekeeping.. When you're on the phone with your loved one, and hear them raise their voice to them, that's wrong.

Please do not put your loved ones here! We changed facilities immediately after our Mom was admitted. She was put in a bed that was broken and no safety rails or access to call light. The prior residents belongings were still strewn around the room. Mom had no medications administeted in over 16 hours. Her skin was broken down due to her inability to reposition herself. Beware of this place!

The staff turnover is so rapid. Staff numbers on the weekends is beyond workable. People leave because they want the aids never receive any hours. The nurses are usually gathered outside smoking. The call buzzer rings continuously. If I could upload pictures they would shut down. I constantly email the corporate office - but i guess the State will have to come forth.

Placed my Mom in there. She has bedsores, by the second week bein there, the sores were worst. They claim the had the equipment but never gave it to her. U can smell the stink before you go inside. They never bathe my Mom, brought it to the proper higher ups. Went back next day stil no bathe. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LUV ONES THERE?

My mother fell and broke her femur and fractured her pelvis and was sent here for rehabilitation. This nursing home is horrednous. I visited her over the weekend and the place stinks and is kept too cold for the residents. My sister visited my mother on Monday and found her soaked in urine and she hadn't had a bath. she said she didn't want a bath because it was too cold. Fortunately, we are moving her to a better facility in Covington. Please don't send your loved ones to Heritage Manor.
