"HeartFields was very nice and clean, and all the people were nice. I don't have anything bad to say about it. My dad just isn't quite ready yet. I liked that it was small; it wasn't a huge place with lots of people. It was small, and there ere a lot of people there to help. They had a separate place for the dementia patients, but they had a separate courtyard so they could go outside, and I thought that was very nice. "

The owner, Ramesh, is an amazing person. He truly cares about every resident and does his absolute best to make sure everyone is well taken care of. "A good friend of mine has her mother here and on her behalf I want to rave about this facility! My friend of 30 years had to put her mother in an Assisted Living and it was a difficult process for her. She had worked with Lisa and thanks to Lisa's kindness, patience and knowledge, she was about to help my friend during a difficult time. My friend was so appreciative of the time and energy Lisa put in with her. I highly recommend this facility, not only for the kindness of the workers, but the cheerful feeling you get when you enter the building! The nurses are great and trained properly when dealing with the elderly. I also like seeing people out for activities in the lobby. It's a good feeling walking into the building and seeing happy faces. "

"Georges Assisted Living is an absolutely beautiful community. What stood out to me was that the place was very open and inviting. The residents were engaged, talking to each other, and sitting in the living rooms. I met the owner. It was after 10:00 when I was there and she was extremely pleasant and talked to me about the residents. The rooms were beautiful. The nurses were extremely pleasant, including the people preparing the food (they were very friendly). It was the best place I have seen and I'm very impressed with it."

"AlfredHouse V was nice. It was a house setting. It's very clean and updated. We were looking for a building with a gym, but it doesn't have an exercise facility. They said they could build one, but right now it doesn't have one. The person who gave us the tour was fantastic. He was excellent. The rooms are spacious. They're clean and well-furnished, and the bathrooms are nice. They have options for shared bathrooms or private bathrooms. It met our needs. But right now, we're not ready to move yet. The dining area was very nice. They have a kitchen and an eating area in addition to the bedrooms. An activities person comes in twice a day, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There's a shared activities director for other Alfred Houses."

"We toured Miracle Manor Assisted Living for my wife. The building of the house is kind of rundown. I would say it's ancient. When we were there, there was a van with some workers, and they were working on something over there. The owner, though, was very nice and very helpful. However, it's too far. The room is moderate. They have a TV. They also have a living room for all of them. There are moving chairs on the rail for the stairs, that go up and down. Other than that, there's nothing else."

"My dad moved into Spring Arbor of Frederick. It was wonderful. For activities they do have a long laundry list of things like games, cooking, and social type things. I don't know what all of them are. It's wonderful, it's a new facility. The staff is very proactive."

"My mother-in-law is at Brookdale Olney. She has a lot of good things to say about it. It is small but newer, nice, clean, and well run. I like the staff who do a fantastic job. They have a lot of activities for the residents."

"The community is lovely and full of life. The caregivers care about my mom and treat her with respect and dignity. When I visit or call in with a question I am always made to feel like I can call anytime or stop in for questions without being a bother. You know you have the right place when you can visit any day and any time and you get the same friendly staff."

"We went to The Terraces at Westminster. For my mother-in-law, it was overkill. Everybody there was a lot older and more disabled than she was, so it was overkill for her. It was a nice place. When we were there, they were having Hawaii Day, and everybody was actively involved and stuff. It looked like it would have been a nice place if she was at that point. I like the fact that they involved everybody and included everybody with everything. They didn't leave people just laying around. They involved all the residents. The staff seemed very nice, and the people that were there were very helpful as well. Their food was something that an older person would probably like but I didn't care for it as much. The place was very clean, though. It seemed to be in a congested area, but when you go back in there, it's all by itself, and it's in a nice area. It's nice looking."

"I toured Nova Springs. The rooms were nice and big. It was all neat, orderly, and clean. The staff who toured me was a lady that was the manager also. The building was very clean. It had a very welcoming atmosphere. It was like walking into a motel or hotel where somebody was greeting you. The dining area was spacious. It had tables and tablecloths on them. It had decorations making it look homey. I only saw one room and the staff said they were all practically alike. They were very spacious. They had a TV, a bathroom, and a nice-sized bathroom. You didn't have to come out of the tub or the shower and hit the commode. There's plenty of room in the bathroom."

"Cadence Living Olney was very nice and very clean. It was decorated nicely. I felt like they were very buttoned up, which is what you want to make sure you have for your loved ones. They gave a great tour. They had a hairdresser and I saw an outdoor garden area. They seemed to have a good ratio of staff to residents. There were plenty of activities and they had the staff to support it. The rooms looked pretty nice. The showers did not have a lift, it was straight. If someone needs to roll in, they could just roll straight in."

"I visited Goddard Comfort Homes, and they seemed wonderful. I didn't go because I couldn't afford it, though it would have been well worth it if I had the money. It's lovely. The grounds were nice. The accessibility was good. My sister is in a wheelchair, and I always look at that. It was roomy, nicely decorated, and homey. The executive director was wonderful. They have a nice front porch and back area to get out into nature, which is nice, and that was certainly something I was looking at because my sister likes to get outside whenever possible."
