My mom moved into Tranquility at Fredericktowne two weeks ago. The staff was friendly. There's an activities director. There are two places where the family can gather together with the residents. The eating time they set up as a family. They have a salon where you can make appointments a couple of days a week or if you want to take your resident in, you can use it. There's a covered porch outside in the front and the porch in the back is not covered. So they have picnic times out there. They have three meals a day and then they have snacks in between. The facility is well-kept, cheerful, and cozy.

I toured Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. I liked that it felt homey and clean. They seem very accommodating. They had rooms where they had social get-togethers. Some were sitting there, like a sofa area, and they were watching TV. They had some tables set up with puzzles and, a couple of the residents were working on puzzles. There were several that were freely just socializing and walking the halls, and it was nice to see everybody seemed pretty happy. The floor plan was just like a bedroom with a bathroom, and I found that they were clean. That's a big priority for me. It's well taken care of.

Tranquillity at Fredericktowne was nice. The marketing person was very interested and engaging. She gave me lots of information, so it was nice. The condition of the place was okay. However, I didn't care for it at all. It was very sterile and a high-rise, and we're not going for a high-rise. I didn't see much of anything going on. They had a courtyard, but it was a little cement courtyard that was stuffed behind the building, and it was not inviting at all. They kept it nice, neat, and clean, but it was very sterile.

My friend is moving into Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. There's only, like, 60 residents, and it seemed like every time we went there, there were people around, and helping around, and they seemed to be happy. People were sitting outside, people sitting inside, and people exercising. That was why we liked it, it was clean and it didn't smell. The apartments were very nice. The bathroom was great. It was big, and the shower had a seat in it, and she could take the shower out of the wall and use it if she was sitting down, and the closet seemed okay. She's not bringing a whole lot of clothes over, so it should accommodate her just fine. The staff is great.

My dad was at Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. He was there for about two weeks before he passed. He was further along than any of us thought, including the staff. My experience was very good. The staff was across the board excellent. They treated him with respect and with caring the entire time. So I have only good things to say about their staff. My dad's room was a very nice, cheerful room. The group areas were also nice. They had some homey rooms and some joint rooms, which were very nice. They had good activities. On one of the days we were there, they had a little kid choir that come in and sing Christmas songs. They were very good with that. With regard to food, they did the best they could, but by the time my dad went there, he was not eating very much. Nevertheless, they did a good job providing things, like they had this super nutritious ice cream, and he would eat some of that. They were very sensitive to his needs at that point. There was a little bit more ground there, not a ton, but a lot more outside areas. It was pricey. But all of them were pricey, and this was the least pricey one.

I toured Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. They've redone a lot with the facility, so it was a nice place. Everybody was friendly and they were working with the people. Their rooms were not nearly as nice as the others were, but they were OK. They had a nice dining area. They had a barber shop and a beauty shop.

Tranquillity at Fredericktowne was very nice. Compared to the others, the price was a little bit more expensive and the location was not as good for me. It's much farther away from the city. They had plenty of seating where they serve food, had community areas, and had more space outside. They had more medical support onsite and would do rehab and haircuts onsite. Everyone was very nice, accommodating, and willing to help. It was very clean. They did a great job with the upkeep.

It was a phenomenal visit to Tranquility at Fredericktowne. The lady in charge there was nothing short of phenomenal. She even showed us a couple of rooms and it was a great visit. As you go in there and you deteriorate, they move you into a different level or a different place, but it was great information. I think that the number of appliances you can bring is very limited. In the reception room or the entrance room, it's just very warm. The landscaping was fantastic. I did a little joking with that person, and I told her that I needed the landscaping company's name so they could help me in my little condo, so it was a great experience. There are hanging plants and flowerpots. The weather was pleasant for the plants and the conditions. A lot of money is spent on landscaping there. We saw a couple of people sitting on benches. There are a few benches, and they have a lot of activities. There were people there doing yoga. The way I interpreted that is, it's not a place where the guest sits in his or her room. Their room is minimalist, and they want you out of that.

I toured Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. I like the people the best. They were very friendly. The place was clean. They were accommodating. The tour was very informative. The staff that gave me the tour was wonderful. All the staff that I met were wonderful. They were friendly, and they were smiling. She was very friendly. The appearance of the room was fine. I like the layout of the shared suites because residents had their own bedrooms with a door that was able to shut. But it didn't seem very cozy to me. I also saw the activity room/dining room and the living room where the memory care residents sit. It was confined. The activity room was the same as the dining room. However, it wasn't someplace I would put my mom because it didn't seem homey.

We went to look at the Tranquility at Fredericktowne. We like the cleanliness of the place and the people seemed happy there. It was a great atmosphere. The staff that gave the tour was very informative. We're scheduled to try the food there at some point, they were willing to have us sample the food. The rehab area wasn't as extensive as another facility was. They had a salon and a courtyard, and the upkeep of the place was exceptional.

My mom stayed here and died here. I can't tell you how comforting, supportive, responsive and friendly the staff has been through the whole process. They have made everything so much easier- even forwarding her mail months after the fact and helping with all of the details I needed help with after she died. I'm SO grateful for them and recommend them 900 percent! They gave me peace of mind during a really dark time.

Tranquility at Fredericktowne was absolutely far and above the friendliest of the places I visited. Everybody was glad to meet me. The staff was very outgoing and welcoming. The place itself was very bright. There's lots of windows and it's just a very welcoming place physically, and in terms of the people who were there. The lady who did the tour was wonderful. She made me laugh and made me realize that I could have a good life there. I am going to be staying in a very large studio. It is actually as big as their one-bedroom apartment, except that it doesn't have walls in it, so it has more usable space. All my furniture has already been moved in and it's really a beautiful unit with three very big east-facing windows. It's very bright, very clean, and very well-organized. They have a restaurant-type dining. They have a chef and a different menu every day. There are always two main options, and then if you don't like either of those, you can choose something else. I'm really looking forward to it. They also have a van where they take people on field trips, and then movies, bingo, and all kinds of things.

My husband has been in Tranquility at Fredericktowne. Their staff is extremely friendly and personable. They take very, very good care of my husband, and they care very much about the community they work with. Currently, a lot of people in many areas of the work community are having issues with getting enough people hired, so they are kind of going through a lot of staff right now. They'll hire people, they'll work for a short time, and then quit because they or the facility realized that that person is not cut out to work with the elderly community. The ones that are there are really good. The ones that have been there a long time are really, really good. They are currently in lockdown because they have two people with active COVID, but it's totally contained in the memory care unit. They're going to start allowing the assisted living part to have visitation, but only outside the facility. It's very, very clean, they jump on things, and fix anything immediately. With so much rain that we've had this year, they detected a roof issue, and got it fixed immediately. They're not able to do a lot of the activities that they normally do simply because of COVID. I find that many of the activities are probably a little more geared towards women than men. Their food is very good, I like it a lot, though my husband not so much, but he's very picky about his food. It's not the most expensive place here in town, but it's still very expensive. Truthfully, that's probably the biggest issue why we're looking at trying to move him somewhere else. Most of the places around here, the cost we're paying, is what you're going to pay to get decent care. Any place that's cheaper, the care is going to be substandard.

I went onsite at Tranquility at Fredericktowne. It was really nice, and I really liked the people and the facility. I met some of the residents that were sitting out front. They were waiting for Halloween dogs coming to visit them, which was nice because I was able to talk to a couple of residents there. The lady that gave the tour was outstanding; she was very good. This was my favorite place. I think this was a nicer facility than the others I've seen. All my mom's doctors are in Frederick's, too. They are in the process of putting new furniture in the dining room, so when she showed us the room they only had temporary tables, so it was not great, but the room and the sunroom off the side, it was really light. I really liked it.

Horrible facility -- do not put anyone you love in this place. Here is my honest review. Facility: The actual facility is very nice. The rooms are nice and clean. So, it was appealing when we visited, checking to see if it would be a nice place for our loved one. Assisted Living: Our loved one was in Assisted Living on the 2nd floor. They pretty much spent most of their time in their room, watching TV. We were hoping that the walk to the dining hall on the lower level would give them needed daily exercise, but what actually ended up happening was they would decide they didn’t want to walk down to the dining hall, so they would end up missing meals entirely, because food was rarely brought to their room if they didn’t go down to the dining hall. Consequently, our loved one lost a great deal of weight and was very frail. Food: The food was average. Nothing to “write home about”. We were allowed to purchase meals and eat with our loved one. Staff: There was one caretaker who actually cared about our loved one, and I know they worked very hard to take care of our loved one. The majority of the staff were horrible, and the management is deplorable. Just one excuse after another when we questioned things. On one occasion I had visited late at night, and needed to find a staff person to help with a mess my mother had made in the bathroom. (I was actually surprised to find it - it was dried poop, which meant it had been there for awhile!) No one was to be found. I had to go to the first floor of the facility to find someone. That was very upsetting — we have no idea how many hours residents on the 2nd floor go unchecked at night. When asked why there was no one up there, we were told they had a “shortage of staff.” Care: Our loved one was rarely showered. Like — maybe twice in the whole time they were there (a year). They had lost so much weight. They just sat in their room all day with the TV on. The TV was the ‘sitter’. The facility had activities for the residents, but if the residents don’t opt to go, they don’t go. The staff will tell you they will take them, but it isn't true. We have since moved our loved one to another facility where they are showered several times a WEEK, and they have gained weight, are happy and "out and about", talking to other residents during the day and rarely in their room -- we are all much happier with the new facility. Our loved one is much better cared for. I wish I could say better for Tranquility, but it was a horrible experience for us.

We went to Tranquillity at Fredericktowne. The workers and the whole staff were absolutely great. It was very clean, and the appearance was great. They gave us a brochure of programs that our sister-in-law could interact with. It was pleasant, and everybody was very nice. The dining area was very clean and very pleasant as well.

Tranquility at Fredericktowne was a very nice, up-to-date, and modern facility. The person who showed me around was very good. It was a great experience overall. The dining room looked very nice. There was a separate dining room as well which you can reserve. They had some fingernail painting, and a little salon area which looked nice.

The facility looks nice and inviting, however, there are very few activities for the memory care residents. The only daily " activity" is the TV blasting old re-runs or the " activity" of sitting around the dining room table which doubles as an activity table for the occasional craft which none of the residents partake in.

Tranquility at Fredericktowne was fine, but we could only afford a room that was about the size of a closet. If you have more money, you could have bigger room. Amenities and activities were fine. They did have everything that you need like good PT and a big activities calendar. It was a fine place.

Tranquility at Fredericktowne was wonderful. They showed us around and answered all of our questions. It was a very nice place. Everything was what what we like, but it was expensive. They had a place to eat, a place to exercise, and a lounge area.

Tranquillity At Fredericktowne was kind of expensive. It’s comparatively new, so as far as the way it looks -- the infrastracture and such as that, and looking at the rooms and the amenities -- it’s topnotch. They have single-room studios, and then they have larger apartments. They’re laid out very efficiently. There’s sufficient space for studios. It surprised me that the studios were quite large, and there were plenty of closet space. The place is only a couple of miles away. It’s pretty nice. So we’re looking at it, but basically I think it’s the place where we’re going to go; it’s just the matter of working out the financial aspect of the situation. It’s conveniently located. There’s a good ratio of staff to the number of residents. I ate in the dining room, and it was terrific. The food was delicious.

We decided on another facility until we came across Tranquility at Fredericktowne, which really beat them out big time. It’s a great community. The facilities are beautiful and has very well-trained people who’ve been there for a long time. Every time I see them, I can see the dedication in the patient care workers and the administrative people. The food is great, my mom is very happy, and the price is reasonable. They go out to restaurants for lunch or dinner, go on sightseeing tours, and go shopping. They have a large outdoor patio with furniture and activities outdoors.

We like Tranquillity a lot. It was a clean facility. Although it wasn't in the country, it did have that country setting. They have more like a park setting that people can go out to. There was a little courtyard in the middle and there was an area there where you can sit down. Everybody was friendly. I have no complaints about any of them. They did have activities there; however, this place does a lot more outside activities. The night we visited they were going to go for a hayride or something to that effect.

Tranquillity is on a beautiful property that was once farmland. It is just off major thoroughfares that make it easy and convenient to get to and from, but not so close, the roadway noise is heard at the residence. The building is bright, airy and welcoming. The staff are exceptional, and very responsive to the residents and family members needs. There are numerous activities every day from exercise classes to mental exercises, and even occasional outings. Tranquillity has three levels of care and hospice. They have a doctor and nurse practioner who are on site twice a week, and they have physical therapy on site. The only reason I am giving it four out of five stars is because it appears the staffing levels at meals and on the weekends are a little low requiring aging people to be a little patient and for some this is not easy. I am very happy with the decision my sisters and I made to move our Mother into Tranquillity.
