"I like Humble Hearts Assisted Living. It's on a nice quiet street. The gentleman who showed me around was very pleasant. He showed me all of the rooms and their security system. The necessary paperwork that they had to have was displayed. I like the place. It was nice and clean. The only thing I didn't like about it was that all they had there were men. They said they had had a woman before, but it seemed to me that it's more a man's place than someplace you would put a woman because all of the residents are male. The staff who gave the tour was a very nice gentleman and he was very on point. I felt like it was a nice place."

"I liked the location of The Red Door Assisted Living. It was very close to my house. The meals are included and my father would have had his own room. They provide activities and transportation. The staff was very nice and very thorough. It's a tough decision to make and the lady there helped us through that process pretty nicely, even though we didn't end up going there. The community was a little outdated. It's a little small, but that didn't bother me (I think it probably would bother some people). I thought a smaller place was better. The other good thing about their place is they didn't have any stairs. It was all on one level. So, it would have been easy for my father to get around."

"I toured several AL homes for my grandmother and I must say this home is by far the best. The house is very spacious and clean. The residents are in shared rooms, however they have their own space to walk around they even have their own chair in the rooms. They are also provided with their own dressers to store their personal belongings. The owner is very Knowledgeable and caring for the residents. Its shows on the residents faces. When I did my tour the resident was at the table playing a game of bingo. This is more than an AL, the owner created a comfortable home for the residents."

"The tour I had of Mabel's House Assisted Living was fine. The lady I spoke with greeted us and took us on a tour, and she was wonderful. She was nice, respectful, and informative. They had a place for my father, but it wasn't available until the end of this coming month. If I had the option to pick, I would be more than glad to have my loved one there. It felt safe and comfortable, and I think my father would integrate well with the residents there. They had a front porch, and some folks were sitting there during my visit."

"This facility is exceptionall! The staff works VERY close with us to ensure mom's care needs are handled. She wasn't very active, and veryy reluctant to transition into a facility. Now she's become a social butterfly! The place is beautiful, bright and ALWAYS CLEAN! Activities are always coordinated for Mom. The Nurses and therapist are very sweet. After 2 years, I'm happy to say we've made the right choice! "

"Heart Homes was small, and it felt comfortable. It was warm and homey. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had activities. They were playing bingo, and they watch TV. The bedrooms were fine and a decent size. They were clean and had their own bathroom. The dining room was the right size. "

"We toured Charter Senior Living of Towson. I liked the person that did the interview, she was wonderful and a very compassionate person. The location was a little too far for me to travel to visit, but I liked the place and everything it had to offer. They had a variety of doctors available, more than other places did. While most places only have a doctor and a podiatrist, they had many services available. They also had a salon, and they had many different activities to keep the resident busy."

"My friend will move into Serenity Garden Manor. It was nice. The people were friendly. It was clean. It looked like it was well-kept. They had a stair lift. We met the owners, which was nice. The location was good, and the parking was good, too. The two ladies we met were friendly, kind, and patient. The facility was nice, and the rooms were big."

"My brother-in-law was at Symphony Manor for almost 2 years. EVERYDAY he got extraordinary care at every level. This is a place where staff took the time to get to know him (He had had a stroke), found out his needs, and loved him. He made special relationships there and I will forever be grateful for the way that Symphony treated someone I loved. "

"My mother is in Seaton Towson. The director came to the previous rehabilitation center my mom had been in. The LPN used her skilled nursing ability to assess my mother on two occasions, and the second occasion enables my mother to be able to be eligible to move to Seaton Townson. They picked her up. They also had me see a room in advance. They also asked for a very minimal deposit to hold the room. There were two rooms shown and they gave us the rationale for a first floor room versus a second floor room. In her case, we chose a larger room, which is on the second floor. They encouraged her to come out of her room and walk, and she needed to walk due to a lower limb injury. She arrived and everything was ready for her. I needed to replace the bed to be a hospital bed. Everything else, like a mini-refrigerator, brand new, modern room, modern bathroom with a shower and seated area, and bars were all available to her. Occupational therapy and physical therapy come in twice a week. She's also been evaluated for dementia, and there's a follow-up periodically to reevaluate as well. She is receiving meals three times a day in a community area that is very well set up and they don't eat alone. They have people that are selected to sit with and have conversations with. The meals are more of a cafeteria style, but they are much better than where she was. They also have snack time. If she needs to stay in her room for any particular reason or a special diet, they will bring the food to her. She just had her front bridge removed for a new one, so she needed cold and soft food, and she needed that in her room for a while. They do the laundry there, but there is a cost. They provide towels and whatnot. I've given her additional towels as well. Their hours of operation to the public where you can actually get into the facility and have someone pick up the phone is 8:00 until 5:00. When mother has appointments they have free transportation Mondays and Thursdays. They have a beauty area. They have many common spaces. It's an old barn that had been renovated. It's in Maryland, so it has that colonial feeling to it, but it's very bright. Everything is in golds and beautiful light tone browns and off whites. It's very uplifting. They're able to keep it clean. They keep the door locked, but there's always a person to let you in in their glass doors. There are lots of windows in the room and in the whole common space area."
