I liked the location of The Red Door Assisted Living. It was very close to my house. The meals are included and my father would have had his own room. They provide activities and transportation. The staff was very nice and very thorough. It's a tough decision to make and the lady there helped us through that process pretty nicely, even though we didn't end up going there. The community was a little outdated. It's a little small, but that didn't bother me (I think it probably would bother some people). I thought a smaller place was better. The other good thing about their place is they didn't have any stairs. It was all on one level. So, it would have been easy for my father to get around.
