"The staff at Sunrise seem very caring, easy to get along with, and very loving to the people in the facility. They have games like bingo, they take those who are able physically and mentally to restaurants once a week if they want to go, and play different types of games to try to keep them stimulated. They have a nice garden. "

"Mom was at Oaks at Snellville for respite care. They were very kind and very nice to my mom. They took great care of her. The staff was all amazing. They had programs and stuff that they would do. So, she didn't just sit in a room all day long. They took them out and did stuff. She seemed very happy with it and very entertained. The food looked good and smelled good, too. The room she had was fully furnished. It was like a miniature apartment. They had multiple levels of activities. They had the cafeteria, the activity room, and the meeting room. It was a nice facility. The Oaks at Snellville was the same price as everybody else and for two weeks of respite care, it was almost $3,000, but that's the going price across the board. It is what it is. That's just how much they all cost and in my opinion, it's not them personally (the manager and the staff) that set the price. It's their corporation that owns them and all the other facilities in the country."

"My mother-in-law moved into Heartis Suwanee. So far, it's been awesome, the staff I dealt with is friendly, responsive, they're been where they're supposed to be, and I never had to search somebody down. It's brand new, so the accommodations are very nice, and my mother-in-law likes the food, she said it's very good. Dining is restaurant style with tables, tablecloths, servers, and so it's very nice. It's definitely worth the trip, it's a beautiful facility with lots of stuff to do for an active adult. My mother-in-law moved in there without knowing anyone, and within a few days she was in outings with other women and making friends, so it's a very welcoming community."

"I toured Magnolia Senior Living Loganville. It was very nice and very comparable to the other facility. It was nice and clean. One of the directors took me around, and it was great. She showed me everything. I went through several different areas of the place. I had no complaints with that. It just came down to a little bit more for location and price. I saw some of the residents were eating, some were watching TV, and some were doing puzzles."

"The people here are friendly and welcoming (staff and residents). The food is excellent and of very good quality and variety and prepared deliciously. Great Chef here!! There are a number of activities that you can attend every day; exercise classes, crafts, music and entertainment, games like bingo, bridge, and dominoes just to name a few. There is a big pool to help keep people in shape. The building and your apartment are always clean. Concierge are always well informed on subjects/activities and someone is available around the clock. The furnishings and decorations are beautiful and have a very homey touch; activity spaces are lot like being in a house. I could highly recommend this residence for anyone. I've lived here for 6 months after trying other types of senior living in the last 3 years. "

"The staff at Emeritus at Lake Springs were very caring, but the place was not equipped for someone that has a major handicap like my father-in-law with cerebral palsy. As far as the place itself, it looked clean. The food was good, but it wasn't over the top. They did have a good amount of activities, but they weren't hands-on. The only drawback to the place was the rooms were too small for his power wheelchair. He couldn't maneuver around the bathroom at all. It kind of prohibited him from being able to do for himself, but for somebody that is like in a walker or a manual wheelchair where they can personally stand up on their own and be somewhat mobile, it was perfect. The residents were happy there, and they were friendly. I would recommend it to someone who is mobile. The grounds were always kept clean. They were allowed to go out and walk. "

"I toured the Regency House of Buford. Everyone we met was very accommodating and very personable. The person we talked to was very good. They showed us the whole thing. They showed us where they eat and where they have activities. They showed us their apartments. It was a very positive one. We saw the studio and one-bedroom apartments. They have a calendar full of activities. All of them were the same. They all have morning devotions and exercises at 10:00 a.m.. They go out for lunch once a month or once a week, something like that. It was well-maintained, and the staff was very helpful."

"I visited Shekinah Home. I really like it. It’s very good -- especially the owner. She is an Indian woman, so we are very comfortable with her. My father-in-law was also very comfortable with her, but they were all American, and there was no Indian, so he was a little comfortable staying there. The room was good and clean. There was no problem with it. There was a clean bathroom, a good clean bed, and the storage. Everything was good. When I went over there, I saw the physiotherapist working with them, helping them to move about and all other ladies who were working there doing the kitchen were very friendly. "

"My mother lives at Wisdom Well Living. Finally I have peace of mind knowing that she is taken care of. They spend quality time with each resident and since it is a small facility that makes it possible. It is kept neat and clean and all of the meals are delicious. It is obvious with the care they give that Beatrice and David are passionate about their care giving. I would highly recommend Wisdom Well Living if you are looking for care for your loved one. "

"We moved my dad to memory care section of The Joy at the end of September, 2024. To help with logistics, we moved my dad first, to one of their fully furnished respite rooms, then moved him to his new suite the next day, after we got his furniture moved in and set up. It’s hard to describe how great the staff was (and is!), from the moment we walked through the front door. As you probably know, if you’re considering moving your loved one, it can be pretty stressful— for everyone. Walking into The Joy with my dad was like walking into a sanctuary of caring and calm (outside, there was literally a hurricane approaching :-) ). One day recently, after he’d been there a couple weeks, I was sitting with my dad in his room enjoying a cup of coffee together and, unprompted he said: “I like my new home.” He’s not a man of many words. It made my day. So grateful for everyone at The Joy!"

"My mom has moved into Highlands Senior Living Norcross. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is a good ratio of patients to staff. The facility is clean and easy to use as far as the elevator, and all of the rooms are made for people of different skill levels. The staff members are all very eager to please, accommodating, knowledgeable, and skilled. Everything appeared organized at all times. They were setting up decorations for the Valentine's party. They do a lot of events to engage the residents. I think the value for money is excellent considering the quality of care you get is very high."

"We toured Antebellum James Burgess. The staff was very nice. The lady who took us around was very polite. It was an older building. It smelled like urine, but I know that sometimes that's present around older people. However, I have toured other facilities where that wasn't there. It was a older and not as up-to-date esthetically as some of the other places I've seen. The location was nice. The building itself, from the outside, was very pretty, and the inside was pretty spacious."

"Village Park Peachtree Corners was good. It was small. It wasn't as big as the other village. The apartments were a little bit smaller. One of them that we saw was an odd shape, and I don't know how you would put furniture in there. So that kind of turned me off a little bit. It's close to a friend of mine, so that's the only reason I went to look at that one, because she was like, "Oh, that'd be great. I wish you would come over here," but it wasn't the right fit. We really didn't see very many people working when we were there, but they were nice. They came up and talked to me."
