If I had to recommend somebody to an adult day care, they would be the one. They had activities like arts and movies. They served two meals and one snack in a day. "

It serves adults of all ages with dementia or other health impairments, and provides a safe, caring and engaging environment. My mom looks forward to attending each day (Monday - Friday) and comes home more alert and happy. They have meaningful activities all day beginning at 9:30 to 5:00 and are served a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack. I am personally thrilled and grateful to have found a reliable and supportive program with compassionate staff and volunteers!"

"I checked out Rem Kiks. Everything looked very good to me. I like the programs that they have available. I like the facility. I like their nurses and staff members. I feel comfortable having my mother there. My mother has Alzheimer's, so we need to have a facility that would cater to that need, and they have that facility. Also financially, it is the best way for us to go. "

"I also volunteered here. The center was about 3 miles away from the nearest hospital. I saw seniors doing some artwork. I observed many seniors taking part in the get fit program they offer. I observed small yet very neat and clean rooms. The employees were very helpful to the seniors. "

"I had the opportunity to bring my mom and dad for day services. The staff were great with both of them. They had different activities throughout the day. They were able to spend plenty of time and not rush anyone while still providing excellent personal care on an individual level. The staff were very kind and really knew what they were doing. I was not the lease bit worried about leaving my parents with them. "

"I have my husband at Skylark Adult Day Center of Cobb two days a week. So far, it's fine. Every month they put out a calendar of events, they feed them breakfast, lunch, and a snack, they take people offsite for exercises, they have an art program, there's an outdoor area for people who like gardening, and after snack they have discussion time and quiet time where they can watch television. They try to keep people engaged and have activities planned for them. There are special days where they celebrate birthdays. My concern with my husband is that he requires somebody to watch him and be there with him because he has had several strokes, so he's a high risk for falling. When I came to pick him up today, the nurse was leaving as I was coming in. She let me in, but my husband was walking by himself, coming to the door to meet me. The attendant was on the phone in a separate room behind glass where she could see him. During normal hours, from 9:00 until 3:00, it's fully staffed. They have a lot of staff for the attendants, but it was 4:30 when I picked him up. It appeared that everybody had left and so people were sitting in chairs waiting for their families to pick them up. The first time I left him there, he tried to get up and he fell over with the chair and everything else. During the primary hours, they have a good staff to attendee ratio. The staff is very caring, and the facility is clean."

"When I volunteered here it was very calm and quiet most of the seniors were eating a small snack or watching television. I did not observe much one on one interaction between the staff and residents. "
