"Renaissance on Peachtree has good activities. It's aesthetically a nice place and they're strict with their COVID regulations. We're very happy with them and I see them working on improving certain things. Everybody is short-staffed right now because we're still recovering from COVID, but the staff has been pretty good. There are people that you can hire if you want some more individual attention. My dad has never complained about the food. There's have two restaurants and they were very nice. They have a nice gym and nice areas for sitting out. He loves that they bring in university professors to give lectures to the residents five days a week."

"The person that I talked to was wonderful. They had activities and they had doctors that sometimes came in, however it was expensive. "

"My friend is in The Mann house. My friend has Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis, so he requires both skilled nursing and long-term care. It very much feels like a home. The place only has 25 residents. There's lots of space and nice amenities. A lot of things can be taken care of for you. They have a pharmacy and they have a doctor that comes in on site. They have pedicures, a podiatrist that comes in regularly, and lots of services there. It's a really lovely place. The staff was very caring, very open, and they have all been there for quite a while. They have suites with 2 rooms and a room that is all by itself. They have handicap accessible showers and big windows that look out on the garden area. They have a common area with a grand piano, an area where they can do activities, they have two screened-in porches that are wheelchair accessible, and a small gazebo outside."

"My mom is currently in Belmont Village Buckhead. It's been great -- the care, the people, the communication -- and I'm very pleased with the facility. My mom is very picky right now only because of her health situation. It's been very comparable on everything. They have activities and therapy as well. She's in a studio with her own private bathroom, and she has a kitchen. They have a bistro, a dining area, and a special memory care area. I think it's highly rated for dementia, and I didn't even know that when I picked the place. It's closer to where I live."

"I was very pleased with what I saw at Governor's Glen Memory Care Community. I like the way the rooms are set up. It looked dorm-style to me. I like the idea that you can set it up like you want, decorate it, and bring your own bed. The customer service was really, really good. Everybody seemed friendly and happy. Even the residents seemed happy as well. The staff members were welcoming. They took the time to sit down and explain any questions or concerns I had. I was very pleased with them. The atmosphere was good. I went into two rooms. One was an empty room that nobody was in and not like their model room. There was a smell that I wasn't fond of. Other than that, I didn't see it as being filthy or anything. Overall, it seemed to be clean to me. The smell was like a strong odor of urine. Maybe they hadn't cleaned it because nobody was living in that room."

"We are going to Hammond Glen Retirement Community. We have put down some money there for a place, and we really like it. They are really nice. It's not very far from where we live right now, which is kind of good because we really don't want to get very far from all our friends over here. So, we're really happy. We are excited about going there. There are trees and some wooded areas. It's wonderful. They have a large independent living group there, and the people are really friendly. I have one lady who wants me to hurry up and get there because she wants me to be her best friend. I can't wait to get there. She is super nice. I think she will be my friend. It really is great. When you walk in, the people at the desk will come up to you. They knew my name after the first time I was there, which I thought was pretty amazing because I don't remember names quite that well. A lot of residents are playing bridge or doing puzzles. There are a lot of things going on. They were having a thing where people were coming in and showing residents how to do makeup. They have different things scheduled for the people. They have a general store there. It's really neat. I like the way the dining room was set up. The thing I didn't like was not having a pool, but I can go down and go to the pool at the other place. The staff was wonderful. Every single one of them was smiling, and to me, that's the most important thing. If you're smiling while you're working, you're enjoying your work. If you're not, you would rather be somewhere else. I never saw anybody go up to you, grumpy. They were really sweet and helpful. Everybody seemed to be really happy where they were. So that's good. They were great. I've seen the food and the menu, and it looked great. It was very clean. There was always somebody doing something to straighten and clean things up and make it look nice. They had a place that you could always go and get drinks, and they encouraged people to drink water. I like that. I didn't like the small hall, but it's an older building. After a while, you don't think about that because people are really nice. They have a sitting room in there, and that is a little bit bigger. They had made some adjustments for the hall being small."

"My mother moved into The Berman Commons in October of 2020. It was a good experience but I was frustrated with a cascade of changes in staffing for the next year plus. Since then it has been as close to perfect as I could hope for! The staff from Denise (CEO), to Nardos (D. of Nursing) to floor staff, admin and maintenance have been AMAZING! Their basic care was (of course) exemplary but it's all the extra things that really put my (and my mother's) experience over the top. From general flexibility to obvious and actual personal empathy, mother's level of care is everything I could ask for. The staff is not only professional but clearly take personal stake in the residences' well being and the extended families' comfort level. Transparency and heartfelt sentiment color all aspects of my experience with The Berman. I am so thankful that my mother is in such a great place! I extent a HUGE thank you to all the staff for their amazing level care and responsible custodianship! "

"I'm giving Sunrise at Five Forks a five for of a lot of reasons. Number one is the location and the convenience of it, and it is a community that I think we could fit into. I liked the staff. Everything seems small to me. It's because I've been living in quite a large house, so it would be an adjustment, but it would meet our needs."

"many of the seniors were taking part of the exercise class, while others were watching cable television. The staff was very polite and informative. they even let me ear from their bistro. I also noticed there was a private party going on in one area, it was one of the seniors birthday! "

"Shekinah Home was very nice and clean. It's small, but it's gated and secure. They have the standard things like room and board, and they have a calendar of events. They also have a salon upstairs and a stylist visits periodically to do hair and nails."

"I went for a tour for my mom. The guy at the front desk Kevin was very polite and helpful. This facility is very clean. The staff was very nice the tour was good and im considering bringing my mom. "

"My mother is a resident of Summerset Assisted Living. We like the familiar décor. My mother has a private room which is a large-sized room with a bathroom included in there. The building has two floors and they have four dining areas, one in each wing on those floors. They have little like activity or breakout rooms where you can go sit or have a private party and what have you. They have a good-sized auditorium that's on the second floor, and they have daily devotions, exercises, and things like that. They also show movies once a week. The main activity room on the first floor probably needs more program in there, but other people come in from time to time. The staff is attentive but I think they need more. I've had good exchanges with the ones I have interacted with. The food seems to be pretty good. I have been there for dinners and things during the holidays. They do a combined eating thing in the auditorium and they redecorate for holidays like Thanksgiving or 4th of July, and they bring entertainment in. The folks really like that. The community is privately-owned by a family. The owner and the wife are usually there during the week and one of the sons also works there. It's very family-oriented. It's a gated community, so you have to punch in the numbers to get in there."

"The Addison of Sandy Springs is close to where we live, it is fairly new, and it's beautiful, bright, big, and friendly. I think it's perfect for my mom's living situation. We are thinking of moving her to their assisted living facility. The choices of rooms were nice, and the price was not too bad, either. I think she would like it there. A great deal of why we are considering it is its proximity to where we live. It's so close that we can drive there in 10 minutes. The place is well-lit, modern, and it has a very nice dining area. The reception area is really nice, and the perks are nice, too. They even have a private dining area for birthdays or something like that, so if my mom can't get out, we can use the private dining area. They have a lot of activities. They have a theater room, bingo, game nights, and all kinds of different things. The place is really inviting. I met the chef, and he's a good dude. I've met a couple of the residents who are there, too, and they were really nice and very kind. The person we did the tour with was fantastic. We were supposed to be there at 4:30, but didn't get there until about 5:15. She was very kind. She waited and served us well. The rest of the staff, the ones I met, were also very kind and very cordial. They seemed really concerned about the people who lived there. I did not sample their food, but it smells delicious. They invited me to come up and have a bite to eat, and the dining room was full of smiling faces, so I think they did a good job."
