"I visited the Governor's Glen Memory Care Community. It was well-kept. The workers were friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable about the care that they offer. The dining area was clean. They offered three meals a day with snacks. They have games that they play, and they have a recreation room with TV accommodations."

"I visited Angels PCH LLC. It's a nice place and very clean, too. The housemaker or the house owner showed me around and told me everything. They explained the whole situation between assisted living and independent group living and whatnot. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The beds were made up. She was cooking, made me some cornbread, and gave me good corn muffins. It was clean all the way around and the grass was well cut. The porch was clean and didn't have any clutter. The tables and chairs were neatly arranged and were very comfortable, you could sit out on the porch and enjoy nature."

"My grandparents were residents there back in 2007 to 2008. My grandfather was only there a short time before his passing but my grandmother was there until her death in July 2008. The staff and the facility are excellent in the care that is provided. The staff grew to be family. They were always compassionate and very professional when it came to dealing with my grandmother's needs. She so enjoyed playing bingo and the different activities that were provided. The staff went far beyond their duties. They were friends to the residents. I applaud them for everything they do and could not have asked for a better place for my grandparents to have lived their final days. "

"Oaks at Fayetteville is a nice place. I would recommend it. I didn't have much of a tour because the lady that was supposed to lead the tour was not there that day. She was supposed to be in, but she wasn't. We looked at the room and kind of looked around a little bit. It wasn't much of a tour, but it was a nice place. It's a really nice place. The amenities are really good. They've got very good assisted living programs. They have music, movies, and bingo. They have just about anything you want to do to stay busy. The dining area was very clean, very nice-looking, and very tempting to eat. "

"Dream Catchers is set in a country type atmosphere in a wooded area. They have animals and a garden, they have trails that people can walk on or ride their scooters or wheelchairs on with assistance from the nurses, and people that are there -- especially with people with dementia that like to get out and walk, do their exercise -- are always assisted by one of the workers that is there. They are never allowed to go out on their own. They do have individual rooms for the assisted living, and then they also have a main facility where the kitchen and dining room is. There are private rooms and semi-private rooms for those with dementia, so they have facilities for both. If I could give them a ten, I would just because of the fact that it is airy, people can travel outside and relate to nature and stuff, and that is something that my mother-in-law would be very comfortable with. She would like an area like that, to be able to walk through the trail that they have there and have the garden area with the animals and different things because where she lives is a very remote area, so this is something that she would dearly love. The attendants, the facility, and just all of it is very reassuring, and it is a very nice place. "

"Medlock Gardens was very nice. I met with the business manager there, Deidre. When I arrived, all the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The facility was very pretty. It was fresh and clean. It didn't have any odors or anything. It was well-kept. The young lady that assisted me on the tour was very patient. She was very resourceful. She had a wealth of information. She described and showed me everything. I didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but they did invite me back at a later date when I had more time if I wanted to. The dining area looked very nice. The residents that I did see were of varying ages, but they looked happy from what I could see. Dinner and a Movie is one of the recreational activities when I did the tour, so I thought that was very nice. It was very intimate and inviting. It had a nice, homey feel."

"Overall, I was unable to come in for a tour that had a very good conversation with my name, Alek, and I left the conversation feeling very positive for my mom in the future. I'm in the very early beginning stages of research. when I called the front desk, the lady, I think her name was Kimberly, was very nice and got me directed straight to the personnel. I needed to be, too, and it was not delayed... The last time, It was very confusing to speak with, and the information I got from that employee was not clear. I called back in April. So, that tells me good things are changing."

"The director of Montclair Assisted Living is very professional and positive. It is very nice. The cafeteria is large and semi-formal, but they have a relaxed kitchen area for assisted living because they're attached to a senior living facility. For example, if my dad didn't want to go downstairs to the larger area to eat, then he could just stay up on his floor and eat in a more casual environment. The living spaces were very nice. My father already has a separate bedroom, and so he doesn't want a suite, but there's nothing they can do about that. However, the rooms were nice, and they were good sizes. The thing that I didn't particularly like, is that they do not have kitchenettes. Nevertheless, they have a lot of long-term employees, and they were very visible when I was there. You could tell that they have a lot of employees in the halls. You can tell they're very actively engaged, and you can see a lot of helpers. Their ratio of caregivers to residents is a great number. It's privately owned, which I think is a perk. The board are residents. The other thing is that they also have lots of snacks and treats out for the residents to take as they want."

"Prema at Ashton Hills was very nice and elegant. It was a little bit more pricey and upper class. They have activities. The manager was very nice. In fact, she's contacted me a couple of times since then."

"I went to All in One Personal Care. I liked it because it was nice and clean, and the caregiver was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot more information. So, if I had to choose a place, I would put him there. The structure was great, it was clean, no odor. I highly recommend it. It has a real peaceful atmosphere, serenity. It was a small house, but it was only about three rooms where she could hold up to four partitions at a time, but it was nice."

"The best thing about Holbrook Decatur was it was extremely nice. The worst thing was it was expensive. It was on the upper end of the budget. The only person I met was the person that was meeting us for the tour, and they were late and they were in a hurry. They were perfectly nice, but we had to wait in the waiting room for 15-20 minutes, and then they were in a hurry. The facility was brand new."

"We visited Oaks at Tucker for assisted living. We enjoyed the tour. They prepared lunch for us, and it was very nice. Everything was good. The facilities and the meals were excellent."
