"I liked the location of Palmetto Park Senior Living. The room choices is what I liked the least. The staff was really good. They were courteous. They gave me a tour of everything that they have. They updated the different amenities and the upcoming amenities that they will be having. I will be comfortable living there. It's just I'm not at that point right now in my life. They were very inviting and very informative. They did invite me back for dinner. It's a little dated, but other than that it was well kept. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I really liked the dining area. It was really nice. The menu was nice and they're offering some new things. They said they're gonna have a robot to bring out the food and stuff, and I thought that was pretty cool. They don't have walking trails. I'm still active. This facility is more for someone that's kind of has slowed down a little bit and may need care. One of the rooms was like a hotel. I would like a little bit of space. The cottages offer a living space, but it was away from all the facilities and stuff."

"I went to Holbrook Decatur. It was wonderful. It was just way too expensive for me, and the apartment only had one closet. I have a lot of clothes, and one closet won't do it. I don't know how anybody could survive on one tiny closet. It had all the amenities I wanted. It looked beautiful. It looked like a very upscale hotel. People were busy doing things. They looked nice. They weren't sitting around in their wheelchairs. They had a lot of social activities and a wonderful gym, and that's what I'm looking for. I want to stay active. It's a very upscale place. They only had a one-bedroom apartment, but I can't give up everything that I own. I'm coming from an apartment that's 2200 square feet, and I am not going into a 700 square foot apartment. Even if it's small, it has to have more than one closet. The community is all modern. They have very nice little kitchens with upscale stainless-steel appliances. It is very well cared for. The dining room was really gorgeous. They have a dietician who would work with you. I have special needs; I'm a diabetic. They have social activities like cocktail parties a couple of times a week, and plan vacations if you want to go on a vacation with a group. I want to socialize, and I don't need medical help. Also, one of the best things about it is that, you walked out the door, and across the street was very picturesque shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, dress shops, and antique shops. You're alive there. You're not stuck in an old, decaying building. The staff who gave the tour was very gracious and very accommodating. It was a pleasure. The chef came out to meet me. I'm a pescatarian, and they would structure a menu according to my needs, like anything I want. It doesn't have to be on the menu as long as I let them know a day in advance. One other thing, if I want my children to come and visit me, and there isn't enough room for them in my apartment, they have hotel rooms in the building that you could rent out for the night. This building is patterned after a very fancy hotel, so it is very deluxe and very well-kept. I wouldn't be embarrassed for someone to come visit me."

"We like Renaissance on Peachtree a lot. It was clean and it was kind of set back off of the busy highway, so it was nice. The only drawback was the hallways were fairly narrow. It felt more like hotel hallways. We didn't meet the staff there. We just had one person who took us around and she was very nice. They had a salon. They had a place in the lobby where you can get some food. In addition to the restaurant, they had a place there where you can get down and get coffee and snacks. We just walked by the dining facilities and it looked nice. The bedrooms for us were a little small. The place looked very nice and very clean. The restaurants were close by, but not close so you can walk to them. You can easily drive within a mile."

"Hammond Glen is an excellent place. The staff know all of the residents by name. They treated them very kindly and very respectfully. They have very diverse programs for seniors; I went to several of them in one day including on in the Japanese blossom garden where they had Japanese dancers. I also went to a Danish breakfast get-together. A therapist came in the afternoon and gave a lecture on osteoporosis. I had breakfast that morning with the residents, and the food was excellent. The chef came out to meet us. I had the California-style suite with two private rooms on either side of the living room. One of the rooms had an end suite and the other bathroom was accessible to company. The dining and living room were at the center and the kitchen was off to one side. There was lots of storage space. It was beautiful and very well furnished. They have a library, a theater, common area, a stage and a nice dining room. "

"It was very clean, and the furniture in the waiting room was nice; I liked it. The staff was very friendly, the dining area was OK, and I was interested in the activities."

"My mom stayed at Dunwoody Pines for about six years. They had one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. Each one was had a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, and a handicapped bathroom. There was also a walk-in closet and a separate storage closet. The food was excellent because I have eaten there with my mom. The menu changed daily with two or three choices. Pets were also allowed, and they could do a some planting on the green house. The staff were also available around the clock which was very nice. "

"The rooms at Brookdale Newnan were clean and neat. Everything seemed fine. They had activities, like bingo, cards, and worship service. The people who I encountered were friendly and kind."

"I'm moving into Silver Comet Village. I like the fact that it is truly inspirational, and I have a lot to do there. The layout was very easy to follow and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The people there were truly a blessing to see and to meet. The food was excellent. There's more than enough room, just really spacious, and it's just really good. They have a swimming pool, they have a library to go in to read or to write, whatever you want to do there, and they have exercises available. They've got a massage room where you can get a massage on your body and there's a room to go and play cards."

"We thought Parc at Piedmont was very good, and the staff was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The apartments were nice and had a good lighting. They have a lot of amenities and a lot of activities like movie nights. It’s very nicely maintained too and easy to get to. It’s one of the nicest ones we have seen."

"I toured Laurel Grove by Barclay House. I like their dining facility, and they have home-cooked meals. It's nice, and it has a balcony. They have people on call, press the button if you need additional help, and do medication reminders. The facility is very clean, and the apartments are very up-to-date."

"My relative has been in Sunrise for a month now. The rooms are nice and spacious at 900 square feet for every couple. The dining room set up is good and has ample selections of food. It is not very seasoned, but I guess that’s for the elderly and tastes good. They have cards, a putting green, and a pool. They take them shopping and to shows. They also have different events in the building itself. "
