"I was able to visit The Palms at Lake Spivey, and if I was interested in living in a facility, I would go with this place because it has anything that you could possibly want. They have a game room, a library, and a gym room. They take the residents shopping twice a week, and they also have a movie theatre in there. They also have a facility where they can accommodate residents' guests so that when they come to visit there, they don’t have to be in a hotel room. "

"I got to tour Heartis Fayetteville, which was a new facility. It's very, very nice, very clean, and expensive as well. Their rooms were very nice, it was smaller than some of the other ones, but very clean. It was very beautiful, and in fact, if I had to go somewhere, I told my son he could send me here. The person who gave the tour was very nice, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. She knew her stuff and did a good job explaining things about the facility. They also had outdoor courtyard spaces."

"My wife moved to Oaks at Eagles Landing. It's a very nice establishment. It's very clean. It's fairly new. The staff seem to be very receptive to my wife's needs. We've helped her adjust to it. I get to stay there with her, and also I get to bring our dog. The staff was fantastic. They are great. I've been very happy with them. The food tastes good. My wife likes it, but for me, it tastes bland. I need some salt. They do keep her active. She goes out to lunch sometimes and they try to keep them as involved as possible. She does get involved. The value, it's expensive, but it's worth it."

"I liked the location of Palmetto Park Senior Living. The room choices is what I liked the least. The staff was really good. They were courteous. They gave me a tour of everything that they have. They updated the different amenities and the upcoming amenities that they will be having. I will be comfortable living there. It's just I'm not at that point right now in my life. They were very inviting and very informative. They did invite me back for dinner. It's a little dated, but other than that it was well kept. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I really liked the dining area. It was really nice. The menu was nice and they're offering some new things. They said they're gonna have a robot to bring out the food and stuff, and I thought that was pretty cool. They don't have walking trails. I'm still active. This facility is more for someone that's kind of has slowed down a little bit and may need care. One of the rooms was like a hotel. I would like a little bit of space. The cottages offer a living space, but it was away from all the facilities and stuff."

"I went to Holbrook Decatur. It was wonderful. It was just way too expensive for me, and the apartment only had one closet. I have a lot of clothes, and one closet won't do it. I don't know how anybody could survive on one tiny closet. It had all the amenities I wanted. It looked beautiful. It looked like a very upscale hotel. People were busy doing things. They looked nice. They weren't sitting around in their wheelchairs. They had a lot of social activities and a wonderful gym, and that's what I'm looking for. I want to stay active. It's a very upscale place. They only had a one-bedroom apartment, but I can't give up everything that I own. I'm coming from an apartment that's 2200 square feet, and I am not going into a 700 square foot apartment. Even if it's small, it has to have more than one closet. The community is all modern. They have very nice little kitchens with upscale stainless-steel appliances. It is very well cared for. The dining room was really gorgeous. They have a dietician who would work with you. I have special needs; I'm a diabetic. They have social activities like cocktail parties a couple of times a week, and plan vacations if you want to go on a vacation with a group. I want to socialize, and I don't need medical help. Also, one of the best things about it is that, you walked out the door, and across the street was very picturesque shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, dress shops, and antique shops. You're alive there. You're not stuck in an old, decaying building. The staff who gave the tour was very gracious and very accommodating. It was a pleasure. The chef came out to meet me. I'm a pescatarian, and they would structure a menu according to my needs, like anything I want. It doesn't have to be on the menu as long as I let them know a day in advance. One other thing, if I want my children to come and visit me, and there isn't enough room for them in my apartment, they have hotel rooms in the building that you could rent out for the night. This building is patterned after a very fancy hotel, so it is very deluxe and very well-kept. I wouldn't be embarrassed for someone to come visit me."

"I'm moving into Silver Comet Village. I like the fact that it is truly inspirational, and I have a lot to do there. The layout was very easy to follow and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The people there were truly a blessing to see and to meet. The food was excellent. There's more than enough room, just really spacious, and it's just really good. They have a swimming pool, they have a library to go in to read or to write, whatever you want to do there, and they have exercises available. They've got a massage room where you can get a massage on your body and there's a room to go and play cards."

"We thought Parc at Piedmont was very good, and the staff was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The apartments were nice and had a good lighting. They have a lot of amenities and a lot of activities like movie nights. It’s very nicely maintained too and easy to get to. It’s one of the nicest ones we have seen."

You can't even imagine how much this is helping all of us as we move mom into this new stage of her life. Your thoughtfulness and consideration show what a wonderful transition this will be as she joins her new Noble Village family! Blessings, Doris S. and family, Barbara, Susan and daughters. "

"My sister is in Christian City Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The reason it was chosen was another friend of mine had her mother there, and she said it was the best facility for my sister for rehab. It's a skilled nursing and rehab center. They have assisted living quarters, too, but that's not what she's in. It's an excellent facility, and it's a caring facility. They take time with the residents and they really care about them. The staff is caring and very professional. She said the food is very good. They're focusing on her rehabilitation activities, but they have other activities. They're very patient."

"Providence Personal Care Home was a house, which is fine if you want that type of setup. It was more like a house-type situation where people can sit out in the common area or go to their room. It was very clean, but that's not what my uncle wanted. The staff was very friendly. They seemed conscientious about how well kept the place was. There wasn't a lot of space for people to spread out, so they all had to congregate in the same common area, which was the living room basically."

"Larry Moore Manor was very nice. There are two floors. Everybody has a balcony. That's what I like about it. The complex is friendly and clean and everybody is courteous. The management is easy to talk to. They have a garden patio and they have a courtyard. It's a high-rise and I'm applying to the garden apartments with a patio."

"HearthSide Club Lafayette is nice but I just can't afford it. They said they go by your income but the person who assisted me said I had to be making a certain amount to qualify to get in there. It is beautiful though. You could get a 1-bedroom or a 2-bedroom, but you just have to qualify and have to have the income to do it. A lot of retirees go there too. I love the floor plan, it's very nice. In case you want to get a roommate to stay with you, the way the living conditions are set up, the roommate is on one side with her own bathroom, and then it's got another bathroom on the other side too. The staff was very efficient. The seniors who are not able to cook for themselves can get assistance. They can get assistance with doctors' appointments and all of that too. It's good, it's like a 5-star hotel. I like the layout of the rooms and I like everything about it. It's in a nice area too. It's close to everything like shopping and even restaurants. "

"I’m on a waiting list at Hearthside for two years and I know I’m close to the top of the list. The place is just close and walking distance to shops, walking passed restaurants. The rooms have built-in kitchen, solid countertop bar, and you have option to a 1 or 2-bedroom or even 1 or 2-baths. I like it a lot because of where it is. It’s my first choice. The staff seem very cordial and nice. The place is full and everybody seems to be happy there. It’s probably the most attractive to me and my wife. We’re handicap but we’re still able to live independently. I’m legally visually impaired and my wife has Parkinson’s, but we’re able to get around. We need each other’s help, so we need to find a place that’s really conducive for our lifestyle, where we can cook our own meals and be able to fellowship with others like us in our age group. The place has a movie theater, screened porch, garden spots and walking trails. "

"I'm currently at Big Bethel. We're doing OK right now. For our protection, I think the staff is doing a good job in that department. They're trying to keep us safe from COVID. The staff is working hard. The place looks nice. I like the way it looks. The cleanliness and upkeep are not the best because of COVID, but it's all right. I think they need to just get a few new things in the yard area, like add more seating. Other than that, everything is OK. I'm satisfied. They don't have a kitchen. You can't get out to go to the stores, but they provide food and services for that. We used to have activities, but right now we're sort of shut down."

"I visited The Retreat at Madison Place. It was a very warm community, and it was well-kept. They had two security offices and a little outside community garden. I like that. The place was really warm, and the apartments were roomy. The information that they gave was very thorough. No matter how small the question, all the information was given, and it was done in a very professional manner. That makes a difference in an apartment. I saw a two-bedroom, the kitchens were roomy with a lot of space, as was the living room. They had a gym, a little workout area, a pool table area, and a community area. They also have a laundromat if you don't have a washer and dryer inside."

"I live in Clairmont Oaks. It's more affordable and I think it's the best place to live in. Under normal conditions, they have many classes where they teach about medical concerns and different things, they have someone who comes once a week to check your blood pressure if you wanna do that, chiropractor comes, they have social workers, you can talk to them and make appointments, and they're very, very helpful. They have transportation if you need to go to the doctor, but now they're not doing that. Things are not normal right now because of the virus. They had someone coming in every day catering and you pay for that, but it's reasonable. My room is very nice. It's a 1-bedroom with a living room, bedroom, walk-in closet, and a small kitchen. It works fine for somebody like me. The staff is very good. We have lots of exercise classes, but right now we're not doing that. They have moved a couple of things in the fitness center to a big room, with only two people at a time."
