I'm staying in the independent living community of Ashton Walk in Forest Park. I like the fact that it's a very quiet and very well-maintained community. I like the solitude I have here because I don't like a lot of noise. What I like least might be the fact that they don't have access to all of the doors outside. You can only go through one door, and that's the one from the front. They don't have the key card entrance for the doors on the side. They had promised that we would have key access to all the doors, but they haven't done that yet. Other than that, it's a pretty good place. Currently, I have a two-bedroom and two-bath. I chose it because one of my grandkids might come over and need to stay. They have some activities here, but the gathering space is not big enough for me for the number of people to fit in there. The type of activities they can have is limited, but they do as much as they can. They have ones that are geared towards the holidays that are coming up. For instance, they have something scheduled for Valentine's. I've enjoyed it here, and the only reason I'm considering moving now is the fact that I have gotten older and my kids are on the other side of the area.

The rooms are spacious and easy to maintain. The windows are really large and some residents opt to not have curtains. I choose to have curtains although I live on the back side facing the trees. I have referred 3 residents here and they are very happy that I did. We are convenient to all resources in this area. It would be great if we could establish a Community Garden!! It would give the older residents a purpose and freedom to get out into the open.

Staff is very kind. Quality of property is less than poor. Not clean. Rodents. Pictures do not match reality.

I love this residence!! I have been here almost (3) years. The residents are friendly and the grounds are kept spotless. We are slowly recovering from Covid 19 and we need the break. Good things to follow!! Come join us.........

Ashton Walk is wonderful! My Father is a resident there, and I visit frequently. The property is well-maintained, and the maintenance staff responds quickly when needed. The office staff is professional and caring. The other residents are nice people that appear to enjoy living there. I can't think of one negative thing to say about the place. Highly recommended!

Ashton Walk has pretty apartments and they looked like brand new. They have individual rooms with washer and dryer for the same price as the other places offering shared living quarters or facilities. They have handicapped apartments and parking. They have an exercise room and a bus which takes the residents to different places for activities. The staff were very patient and the managers were very nice. It's a very nice place for seniors 55 and over.
