"My mom has moved into Highlands Senior Living Norcross. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is a good ratio of patients to staff. The facility is clean and easy to use as far as the elevator, and all of the rooms are made for people of different skill levels. The staff members are all very eager to please, accommodating, knowledgeable, and skilled. Everything appeared organized at all times. They were setting up decorations for the Valentine's party. They do a lot of events to engage the residents. I think the value for money is excellent considering the quality of care you get is very high."

"I was impressed with Sunrise at Buckhead. They will assign a specific caregiver to you everyday and you will have access to that particular caregiver. It was clean and very nice facility, very beautiful aside. The staff seemed very friendly. "

"I went to see it and toured their assisted living. The layout was so wonderful and great. It would have been perfect for my mom because everybody has their individual rooms. There are so many activities and she would have been treated like a queen. Leslie was my tour guide. When we walked in, I saw the people, the caretakers and the residents, and they were happy. They were doing activities like social ones, and some physical therapy. They just felt active for me. Some people were in the dining room and they were just getting ready to eat meals and have a good time. The surroundings and the area were peaceful, and the rooms were very spacious. The outside area had generators and security cameras. I just felt like that would have been the perfect spot for my mom. I just felt safe with her being on that property. The staff that assisted me was great. I would say that they succeeded my expectations, and they really care about their residents. Leslie wanted for me to take my mom out there. They want to go prepare lunch for us, but now she wants to stay home. They did offer to have lunch during my visit, I just didn't try it. I saw in the pamphlet that they have the three meals and they had the list of the food for that day. It had things for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. They had a pretty big dining area too where people were spaced out well, and it was very nice. I saw that they kept it very clean when I walked in and toured the place."

"My mother moved into The Berman Commons in October of 2020. It was a good experience but I was frustrated with a cascade of changes in staffing for the next year plus. Since then it has been as close to perfect as I could hope for! The staff from Denise (CEO), to Nardos (D. of Nursing) to floor staff, admin and maintenance have been AMAZING! Their basic care was (of course) exemplary but it's all the extra things that really put my (and my mother's) experience over the top. From general flexibility to obvious and actual personal empathy, mother's level of care is everything I could ask for. The staff is not only professional but clearly take personal stake in the residences' well being and the extended families' comfort level. Transparency and heartfelt sentiment color all aspects of my experience with The Berman. I am so thankful that my mother is in such a great place! I extent a HUGE thank you to all the staff for their amazing level care and responsible custodianship! "

"Mom wes here for just the last couple months of her life. The staff is amazing and friendly. The food was really good compared to where she used to live. Mom passed away before I could settle into a routine with billing and the pharmacy vendor. Those were the only issues I had with Sunrise. Room and all services are billed on a daily rate so it is hard to plan a budget for someone on a fixed income. Mom used Express Scripts for prescriptions because of her military discount. One of the bills from Guardian Pharmacy shows that they had filled prescriptions that were meant for Express Scripts. Mom passed away almost 3 weeks ago and at this time I have not even tried to dispute that issue yet. I will address that after her out of state funeral service. Overall, I would still STRONGLY recommend Sunrise for your loved one."

"I visited this community yesterday. I must say, once I walked in the door, I felt at home. It smelled nice, had beautiful music playing, was very clean, and most importantly the staff was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this community for your loved one. And I'm a tough cookie!!!"

"The Mann House was a smaller facility. Everyone who worked there had worked 15 years plus. It was a 25-room facility, and it wouldn't remind you of a hospital. It felt like a home, and it was like walking into a house. The rooms were nice. The staff was great. They had an activity room, but I couldn't remember all the stuff that they said they did. "

"My mom stayed at Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody and it is a nice and beautiful community. The staff is well-trained and they care about the residents. There are individual rooms so that's really good. They have a lot of activities. They're also cheaper than other facilities."

"My husband will be moving into Belmont Village Buckhead. They have gone above and beyond to help me get a hospital bed. We've been working together to make sure they have the information they need.The person that had sent the information over today from the doctor because some of the information wasn't complete. He texted me and let me know. That is important because I can get involved and push it through to make sure they get it completed. They truly are just a great facility. They're very accommodating and very helpful because I'm going into this not knowing anything. They have helped me and walked me through the different things, so it's been wonderful. They're truly wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, well done, and very pretty. The dining area is beautiful, and their food is great. The staff who gave me the tour was so helpful."

"I was very impressed with Heartis Buckhead, but it may be out the area my friend wants to be in. They have all the amenities. It's only two years old. The only thing that was difficult was parking. The staff members were all friendly. They gave me a donut to take home, and it was lovely."

"Although it was really nice, it was not convenient for my children to visit their grandmother while we were away. It's just out of the area. They made us feel very welcome there. We had made arrangements ahead of time, and they greeted us. They had mom's name on the board, so it was really a nice, warm feeling that you got when you went in there. The tour and room were very nice. They talked to mom separately about her likes, and somebody else talked to my husband and me at the same time. They presented all of the things they have to do there. "

"I visited the memory care facility of Regal Pointe at East Cobb. They are good at listening, but quite salesy. When we were at this other place we were also touring, the person there knew a lot of the names of the people and asked somebody questions like have they drank water, and then asked somebody on the staff to get them water. As we're touring this place, though, we saw somebody there standing, nobody was with her, her mouth hung open, but the person we were touring with didn't say hi or address her. He said excuse me and walked around her and then closed the door. He told me sorry and that he had to close the door because she might come in. This is a person who knows who she is, so that didn't feel great to me. He really listened to me and talked about how he got into this because of his own parents. However, after we toured the rest of the facility, and as we were going into the memory care, he said, "This is going to be really sad". I feel like that's how he sees it, and projecting it like that felt like he didn't respect the people who were in that wing. The room size was fine, but I think my biggest concern was that there was an overpowering smell of urine. I would expect that there'll be some urine in some places, especially since it's lunch and on a memory care wing where there's going to be a lot more incontinence. Other than that, the dining area looks satisfactory, and the parking was easy. I would say that on the assisted living side, it was clean with interesting facilities and activities. However, the memory care side was just depressing. My grandparents were in a nursing home through my teen years, and I'm not usually one to say I was triggered by something, but I was triggered by something there. I came home and literally sat in a chair for a while."

"I toured Brookdale Lawrenceville. When I walked into the memory care, everyone that I was able to see was engaged in some kind of activity. The staff was engaged with someone who seemed a little more cognitively impaired in interacting with them. Other people were sitting at tables either by themselves or in small groups and involved in activities, and I liked seeing that they were keeping them engaged. The person who gave the tour was very thorough, very knowledgeable, very interested, and very sympathetic to my situation and was able to answer every question. They showed me a menu, and the menu looked very good. There were options for them to choose from, and if they didn't like anything that was prepared then there were other options they could choose from also. The dining room I saw was very nice. They said they try to make the dining area look like they're going to a restaurant. Everything looked clean, and everything looked neat. All the furniture looked like it was, maybe not brand new, but everything was in nice shape and fairly modern. I saw their courtyard, and they said that they would be adding flowers and things and doing some gardening and that they did allow residents to help with that. That was enclosed, of course. They told me that they do have a salon."
