I caution people from using this facility. They claim to have completed a through evaluation, but they did not, yet took a 1500.00, deposit from my 91+ year old mother. My father never had a evaluation, as he was so sick the day the RN came to complete the evaluation, that he was in bed sleeping. The RN gave the the test to my mom, and said, " yeah, John passed." At that time, and until he passed 3 days later, he was unable to walk, get himself to the bathroom or eat. He deteriorated very quickly after he had radiation and passed away 4/30/22. I arrived 4/29/22 and called Elegante asking for a re-evaluation (not knowing that one was NEVER completed), as I feared he was deteriorating beyond their level of care and asked for a re-evaluation. NO call back. My dad passed on 4/30/22. Still no call back. I left them a messaged 4/30, pm letting them know he passed. Still NO call back. On 5/2/2020 I called again, this time in regards to the $1500.00 deposit and was told they would NOT refund the money. We did not go somewhere different, My dad died. We did not have a body to fill the room. Still refused to refund the money.

The thing that I like about Via Elegante is it's out in the middle of the desert or it seems to be, so there are natural plants and desert dirt between the various buildings. The part that I don't like is there's a main office and the community area building, and everybody is in smaller buildings. This model might put off people who want a bit more privacy. Another thing was that I didn't get a sense that they really wanted me here. The guy didn't give me all the information as to all the costs; he didn't try very hard to get me interested in the place.

Upon touring this assisted living facility, we pulled up into a custom home site. The view from pulling up on the site was gorgeous. You can see the best view of the Catalina mountains as well as pretty sunsets. In this home, there were ten private suites. Each suite had it's own bathroom, patio door, closet, plasma television, bed, dresser, and table. Every room was very spacious and very clean. The staff was also incredibly sweet and make us feel very welcome. The home had a custom kitchen where each resident can request any kind of meal they want. A medical professional was on staff to just give out medications. The certified care technicians were also very nice. They showed us the game room where they do activities daily. As well as a movie room where residents can do any time of the day.
