My brother has been at Peachtree Assisted Living Home for almost a month this time, but he was there for 15 months before. They have somebody there 24 hours a day. If there’s a problem, they take care of it. The meals are OK. They’re not what I would serve, but my brother has lost weight staying there. He weighed 312 lbs when he first started, and she watched his diet and got him to move. He’s down to 248 lbs, I believe. The goal right now is to keep him from falling, so he gets assistance with his showers. They watch and monitor his medications. They feed him, and they keep his room and bedding clean. Right now, they have 4 ladies and my brother, and they have rooms for 3 or 4 more. I think at one time, they had 7 people. There’s one lady who comes in and reads the newspaper in the family room. They have a big old TV, and she sits in there and watches television. The only thing you can get my brother to do is to work puzzles or watch television. Two of the ladies like to sit in their rooms and watch TV and occasionally will sit in the family room and read the newspaper. They have a real nice yard, and they have chairs outside. They could go outside and sit or walk around.

owner, Lorna is on site for 2-3 hrs a day and then she employs caregivers who do not speak English making communication impossible. food is poor quality and she does not serve a healthy diet. During the month I was there, only 3 meals included a serving of vegetables. She serves macaroni, sometimes cold and many days, served oatmeal for 2 out of the 3 meals. No snacks were offered. I lost 30 lbs in the month I spent there, My room was not cleaned for the last 2 weeks I was there. Since only non English worked there, interaction with staff were difficult to impossible There were no activities during my time there and the "amenities she lists are outright lies. Lorna only sees dollar signs when she looks at those in her care.
