"Location is one of the main reasons why we liked Vista del Rio and the other is it seems like a very nice facility. Everybody seemed so friendly and helpful. It was spotless. We had one meal there. It was not spectacular, but it was good. They have a library and a pool, and then they talked about how they have different programs and entertainment from time to time. It seemed like a very congenial place."

"My mom is now at Arbor Ridge Senior Living. It's beautiful. They have very caring staff. They allowed her to take her dog with her, which is really helpful. They are very welcoming to families and visitors. They encourage them to have dinner and hang out with the residents. It's just a really lovely environment, frankly. The staff are very friendly and very conscientious. They really go above and beyond. They make sure that my mom is settling in and doing OK. They help her find the dining room. Food is really good. It's a very clean place. They have activities. They have daily trips on a bus. They have in-house exercise stuff. They have a really cute, little happy hour in the afternoon, where the residents can gather. They have live entertainment, and they have crafting. They just have a ton of stuff. If you want to be really active, it's a good place to be. Their prices are reasonable as well."

"The Montecito is the gold standard in this immediate area. We can't afford them, but from what we saw, they're certainly worth every penny. We met with the marketing director, and she gave us the highlights on the program that they have. They're pretty full. They didn't have any vacant apartments they could show us, but she did make arrangements with one of the residents for us to tour the bedroom to see what it would be like. They're extremely popular. Their dining facility is under renovation. They're expanding that to be able to offer more services. Their menu is very extensive. Every one of their selections is coded with a little caricature that tells you whether it's heart-friendly or diabetic friendly or gluten-free or whatnot. The grounds are very well kept. The only disadvantage is that my wife and I are both mobility challenged, and their elevators are extremely small. I can fit my power chair into the elevators, but anybody with a scooter would not be able to get the scooter into the elevator. They're not deep enough, so that restricts folks that had mobility challenges to the first floor. The residents all seemed to be friendly. It's very open and very accommodating. It's a newer facility. It appears very, very neat, clean, well-maintained, and airy. You don't feel it's claustrophobic at all. There's a lot of open space. They have a pretty comprehensive list of activities."

"During this unsettling Covid 19 outbreak, I have to give kudos to the management and all employees for putting safety measures into place in a timely manner. Thank you for being proactive in an attempt to keep the residents healthy. Your hard work is very much appreciated. As a daughter, I sleep better knowing my mother is at the El Dorado. A home she loves!"

"My dad is at Auberge at Peoria, and they seem to have good people there. The staff is very caring and is always there to help the residents. There are single and companion rooms with a bathroom. It's just a small space, but it's OK for an individual's needs. Dad has been very comfortable there. He's been down at the community area and he feels part of the place. They have good entertainment coordinators during the week. They have different activities for the residents even on weekends. They have an exercise room, outdoor spaces like a barbecue area, and places to walk around with pleasant surroundings."

"At Brookdale Union Hills all the residents were more comingled, and I was afraid that being that my father is so high functional, that if they were to put him in the dining room with a bunch of people that couldn't feed themselves, and I don't mean any disrespect whatsoever, that it would make him very sad. That he would think to himself, "This is what I have to look forward to in my life," and I don't want that for him. They were very friendly and very helpful. Their facilities were xeriscaped, so it's got a lot of rock, and in Arizona there are not a lot of trees. The rooms were not set up to where dad could have a lot of his furniture. It was more of a rectangular-shaped room. The other reason why we didn't choose that one was when you walk out there's a huge sign in front of their building that says Alzheimer's dementia, and I know that would've turned Dad off right away. It's an all Alzheimer's dementia facility. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable."

"We toured Adobe Country Gables. It's a beautiful, massive house. It's a regular home, but it's big. It's a mansion. It's like eight bedrooms. It's very well put together. That wasn't the selling point. The selling point was the owner. The guy that owns the place, was so good with the people that live there. He has a great setup. He's been doing this since he was a kid. He's very good. He knows exactly what he's doing. He has no qualms about any of the jobs that need to be done. He has little routines that they do. He'll take certain ones out to do certain things and the other ones to do other things. He's very structured that way and they like him very much. There is like one little tiny closet in a room that would be perfect for somebody who was getting arrested or something, but the rest of the rooms were beautiful, they were big, they had big windows and interiors, bright colored ceilings, and it was fabulous. I loved the place."

"My mother was in D&L Adult Care Home for almost 9 years. They took such good care of her and treated her as if she was a member of their family. The last four years my mother was completely bedridden and she had no bedsores or pressure spots on her. There was never a hospital smell to the home. My mother always enjoyed the home cooked meals. I would recommend D&L Adult Care Home without reservations.. "

"My mom has been living in AZ Life Assisted Living Home LLC I since April 2024. I am so grateful for the tender loving care she receives from Effie and Igor and their staff. They are so kind and they really understand my mom's sense of humor! They have lifted such a burden from me and my family. Initially, it was a very difficult decision to make, but they quickly made us feel at ease and my mom is happy and receiving the care she needs. We know we have made the right decision. There is an in-house doctor who visits routinely and prescribes her necessary meds. Effie pics them up from the pharmacy and administers them. They always provide healthy and appetizing meals and snacks and the facility is spotless. They are quick to keep me apprised of all medical and doctor updates and I truly feel a friendship with both of them, as well as their staff. I highly recommend this facility!"

"Arrowhead Valley Retirement Community was excellent in all aspects. If I were to choose, I think I would try to aim for them. It was clean and new. Everything is handy. You don't have to worry about anything. The maintenance guy was on site. Everything was just beautiful. It was just stunning. It's kept up well. The ladies in front are very, very nice. I love their inside, too. I like the sizes of the rooms. They all have their kitchen, refrigerator, and washer and dryer in every room. It's actually like an apartment. The person who did the tour was excellent. She was very, very kind and she answered all my questions. She wasn't rushed. She gave me a good tour, which I enjoyed. She was very nice. I think they're doing their job very, very well. It makes you want to be there. It was also very kind of them to ask me to stay for lunch, but I had another appointment."

"I just moved my wife to Inspira at Arrowhead and the level of care that I've seen and the ratio of caregivers to residents surpasses all the other facilities I've been to. The layout of the facility for memory care is very conducive to observation and activities. It's a very new facility. It's only 4 years old. The staff is wonderful. The directors are very involved in running the community, knowing the residents, and being accessible to me. So, they know the residents, which is nice. They just don't ship them in and forget them. When I brought my wife in there, they scooped her up and started her joining an activity right away. They have music about 2 to 3 times a week and they have pianos in every section of the facility. I saw once after lunch where they had a movie. Their food is excellent. It's freshly made. They have fruits and water out so the residents can have them if they want. They're very attentive and very accommodating to the needs of the residents. The facility is very clean, very modern, and very up-to-date. The activity room, dining room, and movie room are all in the center of the memory care area. They have three memory care pods and all their apartments are lining the outside. Therefore, if the residents are out and about, the caregivers can see them. They don't have to look for them down the hallway. They also have outside courtyards that they can visit and they're monitored to make sure they don't get sunburned or dehydrated or any of that. Some things are included and are not included in the price. Like the TV itself and the connection, they are free, but you have to pay for the WIFI for yourself and furnish your own furniture. They have a great connection with people that helped me furnish her apartment though and they did a beautiful job. It's the best place that I have ever seen."

"The representative of LifeStream at Youngtown who showed me around their independent living was excellent and very well-informed. He advised me of everything that would be available and the cost, which is a big driving factor for me. I was impressed with the community and liked the way it was set up. Instead of having a big, huge building, when you come out your door in the independent living casitas, you are walking directly outside and not in a hallway. That appealed to me. I thought it was also very well kept up."

"I went to Avista Sun City West. I loved it, I thought it was very nice. They have different communities set up, so as a person progresses in their Alzheimer's, they can move them into another community to meet their needs. And I like that idea, I thought it was very good. I liked it a lot. They were wonderful. The staff was great, and it had a very pleasant setting. That was very close to me. I could walk there if I had to see my husband. I loved that it's set in a community of homes, so you feel like you're part of the community. I think they said there was someone who had COVID and they were in lockdown, so we were only able to go view a room that would look like the room my husband would be in. And they took us to the dining room, the kitchen area, and the congregational area. It had a fireplace and a TV, and everybody was cozied up there with their blankets. I want to sit down and snuggle in with them. It felt so relaxing and peaceful. I was very impressed with them. The few people we interacted with were cheerful, they seemed professional, but very real, not phony, and very nice people."
