This facility is a home setting. It is a large, well maintained home with nice landscaping. They are licensed for 10 residents and have large semi and private rooms. The baths are fully handicapped equipped. The house decor is nice. They have a large living room for sitting ir watching television and movies. A large dining area for meals. It has a large enclosed, grassy yard with a patio. They have a bbq. They are licensed for all 3 levels of care including dementia and hospice. They have a nurse practitioner who comes in monthly and on call. They have a doctor who comes on call. They have hospice who come in as well. They have certified caregivers with a house manager who lives close and on call 24/7. They have 3 to 4 on days and the manager and 1 at night. They provide all meals snacks, housekeeping and laundry. The food is home cooked and they have some variety. It is good. Transport is from outside. They rely on families for transport to appointments or outings. They have the usual in house activities as bingo, television, movies, and games. They have an activity group which comes in twice a week. They have games and sing-a-longs. There is a family bbq every other weekend with bbq ribs and trimmings. The staff was not impressive to me or very caring but house and residents are clean. In a home setting, I would like to see more family-like type of relationship to residents. Also I feel the activities are somewhat limited.
