I recently had the opportunity to partner with Better Choice Assisted Living to provide care for my ailing mother. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by the level of care and attention she received. From the moment we arrived, Maria (the owner) and staff greeted us warmly, making both my mom and our family feel at home. The level of compassion Maria showed at the first meeting provided immediate comfort knowing my mom was moving into the right home. The residence is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and safety for all residents. It is evident that the well-being of the patients is their top priority. The medical care provided at Better Choice Assisted Living is exceptional. The staff is highly qualified and attentive, regularly monitoring the physical and mental health needs of my mom and other residents. They took the time to explain any concerns and always were available to answer questions from family members. My mom had extensive health needs, and I appreciate how the staff was proactive in managing her condition, ensuring she received the right treatments and medications. What set the staff apart was the compassion they showed when my mom was hospitalized losing her battle with cancer, to my amazement they arrived to comfort and visit with mom. This showed a level of humanity rarely felt in today’s hectic business world. My mom was not just another client in their home, she was a member of the family. Beyond medical care, the social activities offered are fantastic! There is a wide range of programs designed to engage the residents, from arts and crafts to exercise and games. My mom made friends quickly and looked forward to participating in the activities, which significantly improved her mood and overall quality of life. The emphasis on social interaction and mental stimulation was a huge plus for families looking for a nurturing environment for their loved ones. Thank you Maria, Sujey, Glen and Claudia for all you did for mom and our family. You are true professionals.

When our family was forced to find housing for our mother close to the Mayo to facilitate her treatment, it was a confusing and stressful time. We toured many homes, but knew as soon as we met Maria that we had found the best choice. We were impressed with her personal story, the commitment of her caregivers who have been working for her for five years, and her immediate warmth and love. The home is welcoming, the price was incredibly reasonable, and the willingness to go above and beyond was immediately evident. Mom loved her home and her caregivers as much as they loved her. In her final days as she was hospitalized, Maria and her staff visited her in the hospital. Everyone I spoke with at the hospital was amazed by this. We have come to think of them as our family. There’s nothing like trust to give you comfort in a storm. Thank you Maria.

The most caring and loving staff I have found during this journey to find a home for my active 92 year old father. They have exceeded all expectations. I’m kept well informed, and am always welcome during my drop in visits. He is clean, very well fed, and doing great. He has dementia, and they keep an extremely close watch of him along with the other security in the home. He has been at “A Better Choice Assisted Living” for a couple of months now, and I’m very pleased with how he has settled in.

What stands out about this facility is the medical knowledge and professionalism of the owner and staff. Very well run by an experienced registered nurse. Staff is very kind and attentive to their residents.
