My husband has been in Living Legacy Senior Care East for two weeks now. It's an old home, but it's very nice. The reason I picked it was it's closer to where we live, so it's a short trip for me. It takes a little while to get to know the care workers, and for them to get to know you, but I think we have a pretty good relationship. It's reasonable. I have hospice care there, and they do a good job. Hospice care is optional. My husband can't eat normally, so he has to be tube-fed, but I see them cooking all the time, and they look like good meals. He can't partake in those because he can't swallow. All in all, I'd say it's a pretty good place. There are eight residents there right now, and they have private rooms. For activities, someone comes in every week and does the entertainment thing. My husband can attend that, but they always come in and ask me if I would like to participate in whatever. They have a big screen room, but they also have their own TVs in their private rooms. They have a lovely kitchen with a big dining room. Some of the people eat with the others, and some of them would prefer to stay in their rooms, and they're allowed to do either.
