My dad is at Legacy House of Avondale. There are a couple of things that I'm not happy about, but it might just be because he's a bit difficult to deal with, like showering and that kind of thing. I'll go there, and his hair will be greasy, and it looks like he hasn't been showered for a couple of weeks kind of thing. That is my only complaint about Legacy House. As far as the facility is concerned, it's nice, it's well cared for, and it's not dirty. The upkeep is good. The staff is good. They are attentive. I've been there when my dad has had meals. It's a diverse menu. The general activities that they offer for the group of people that are there, he participates in that, too. They have storytelling, they have bingo, and they have questions and answers sessions about the stories and that kind of thing. They also a have walk through the hall for the residents there.

We like Legacy House of Avondale because of the price. It was lower per month and as my mom gets older, their price program is considerably more affordable and they also provide more within that price structure. So, if you get to a level five, your price structure is considerably lower and they're able to perform more in regards to medical because their staff is more certified than the other ones. Their amenities are right up there with everybody else, probably even a little bit more. They have a movie theater, a lot of activities like arts, crafts, and physical therapy type stuff. You got a salon, too, and a library. They bring in some pretty talented people once a week for entertainment. The only food we tried was the leftover pie that the person there gave us. He had a business meeting before we got there and he had that. It was baked there, which was very good. We walked the hall for quite a long time, an hour and a half, and we talked to other residents there and they were like "Man, this place is great and the food is good."

We went to look at Legacy House of Avondale. I liked that the rooms came with a little kitchenette because I think that gives them a little more independence. The lady who was working with us was very informative and worked with us as far as details of financing and all that stuff. She also took us around the whole property to kind of show us what a typical day would be like. She was very professional and helpful. They had a nice dining room with a menu that had good choices on it. They had a little movie theater and other rooms for activities, which was nice. The facility was very clean.

My father-in-law has been in Legacy House of Avondale. When he first moved in it was great. We loved it. We loved the care he was getting. The place was clean. We felt like people cared about him. And then things started going downhill after COVID, and then recently has been pretty bad, and that's why we decided to take him out. So the caregivers, I had found them sleeping before, on their phones constantly, and they don't really speak English. It would help if they cared about him, then it wouldn't be a big deal, but they didn't. They did the bare minimum. Caregivers actually yelled at me a couple of times. A lot of the times he did not smell good, he didn't look showered (even though they promised that he was). They were supposed to shower him three times a week, but that was not the case. I would get there and he would be like, soiled himself. I would ask someone to please change him, and they would act annoyed, and they wouldn't do it for a long time. His room always smelled like urine. They pulled on him to lift him up out of his chair to put him in his wheelchair instead of using a harness, or like they didn't have any. So there's this great facility and they don't have a lift or anything to help them get them out of their chairs into their wheelchair, so they would yank on his pants and his arms, his armpits, like all his body parts, and plop him in his wheelchair. They were showering him in his wheelchair even though we had a shower chair, which at the end was actually covered in feces. So we didn't take it with us. So when we went to get him and his wheelchair, his wheelchair was soaking wet, and in the pocket in the back there's water, and it smelled like mildew. I liked the activities that they would do, but the director was absolutely horrible. We brought many situations to her and she said, "I'll take care of it." And she never did. Thirty residents could be in the memory care side. He had a room to himself which had a bathroom in it. It was just a smaller room. It just had a bed and stuff, but it did have a bathroom inside of it. They all ate in the dining room together. And then by the dining room there's a big room, and that's where they would do activities. They'll sometimes have performers come in like once a week, and an activities person does bingo, and she does exercise with them in the morning, and then late afternoon she would just do things like cornhole, or throwing balls, or activities to get them involved.

We loved everything about Legacy House of Avondale. It's about five years old, so it's very new and very well-maintained. They had very nice studios, which is about all my brother could afford in that location. The one-bedrooms were not affordable for him. The dining area was very nice. The courtyard areas and the common areas were all very nice, very new, very modern, and very pleasant. It was very, very pleasant. They showed us all the different activities that they have going on available to the residents there. They did a full tour of all of that.

My father has moved into Legacy House of Avondale. It has been great. There are no problems. It has been working out well. He is in memory care. Interaction with the staff are very good. His room is new. It has carpeting. It is well appointed with granite countertops in the bathroom. It is a studio apartment. They get them out to do activities every day. They have a courtyard, a library, and sitting areas. It is a very nice place. It is new with good staff.

Legacy House of Avondale was very open. They're trying to incorporate the memory care side with the assisted living side to make them feel more included in the program. It was a very nice place. It's got a very impressive entryway when you come in. The front desk was very nice. The dining area was very clean as well. The rooms were very comfortable. It didn't look like a hospital room or anything like that. The lady that took me was very resourceful. She gave us good information and gave us a brief tour of the facility. She was very helpful and very understanding of our situation. The facilities were very accessible and very nice. They have a beauty parlor/barbershop, which is very convenient for the residents, and a garden patio at the back where they are welcome to communicate and enjoy themselves outdoors.

I went to tour Legacy House of Avondale. The rooms were very, very small. I also didn't like the vibe. The upkeep was fine. The staff was average. The community was okay. They showed me everything. They pretty much supply the same thing as far as activities.

Legacy House of Avondale was very clean. It looked like they had the staffing needed to provide care for my sister. They are very helpful with their whole program of what they do inside that care. The other people that were there seemed clean and amicable. I really considered taking my sister there. The rooms were very clean and roomy. There was a TV in each one of the rooms. My sister would have been in a shared room, which looked very accommodating. They had a large kitchen and a seated dining table that was like a big family room. There were two or three people watching TV. There was a patio in the backyard, but nobody was out there. They answered all my questions and my concerns.

Legacy House of Avondale was great. It was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. We got our questions answered. The apartments were nice. The staff was very informative and very pleasant. The dining area looked nice. He showed us the theater room, where their pool table is. He showed us their workout room, but nothing was happening. It seems like they have enough amenities for somebody who wanted to participate in things. They had a nice outdoor space, and it's big. I didn't have any issues with it at all. I thought one of the rooms would be far from my mother, but that's just one person. For others, it's probably just fantastic.

Legacy House of Avondale was beautiful. The rooms were nice and it was very clean and very welcoming. The staff was amazing and they knew their residents by name, which was nice, like, during the tour, the person who was giving us the tour was talking to everybody who walked by and they knew their names. It just seemed very friendly. The rooms had a kitchenette. What I didn't like is that the rooms were carpeted, like the kitchen is carpeted, I thought it was kind of strange, and the rooms were small. The closet was very small, but we only toured a one-bedroom. It's brand new. The facility is only a few years old, so it was nice, but the rooms were small. The dining area was very large and very nice. There were a lot of the residents in the courtyard with their pets, which was nice to see. There was an arts and crafts room and there were people in there doing arts and crafts. They had special events for veterans, which was very nice. They had a lot of veterans in that facility and we got to meet some of them. There was a pool table, and there were a couple of people playing pool. It seemed very active.

My cousin has moved into Legacy House of Avondale. She's been there about two weeks now. She's in their assisted living. It's very welcoming, very friendly, and easy to get around. I liked it a lot. I like the people there, the residents there, and the apartment that she has is just what she needed. The staff is very friendly and the place has a lot of things to do. They have a lot of classes, meeting areas, and just a lot of things for the residents to do. They also have things like a beauty parlor, a beautiful restaurant that's open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. so she can eat whenever she wants to. It's just a very inviting and friendly place. I tried the food and it was terrific. I know she in her younger days was into gourmet food and she's enjoying the food there. They're very responsive. I have called a few times and at one point in time she had fallen while she was in there, and she has one of those call buttons that they wear around their neck. The staff was able to get her and called me to make sure that I understood what had happened and the fact that she wasn't hurt, but it was just one of those things where she had fallen and she couldn't get up. They give a calendar every month of everything that they offer within the community. They also put notes on everybody's door during the day if there is a special thing happening that day. I know they have a meet and greet, a wine tasting, they have every week, and they kind of put that on the door and let them know. Based upon what I had seen, it's at the upper end of the price range but when I looked at it, I thought it was well worth it.

I went and toured Legacy House of Avondale. It was great. It was thorough. The staff was very friendly. I had no complaints about the tour at all. They had a lot of activities. There are a lot of people that my parents would have an opportunity to get to know, so that was good. The room was very clean. It was small, obviously, but for what it is, it's just fine. I would have no complaints about the living situation. As opposed to giving it a full 5, their price was the big one with the add-on prices that would be required for the issues that my father is going to need assistance with and the assistance with my mom, and so on. I had expected that one to be significantly less expensive than some of the other options. The gentleman that gave me the tour and the two young ladies at the front desk was very friendly. The room was clean, but it had old appliances, and the carpeting was fairly old. Size-wise, it would be OK.

Legacy House of Avondale is beautiful. I toured the assisted living. It's two stories, it has elevators, it has a movie theater, and it has a memory care center that's separated from the rest of the facility. It has a full restaurant and a bar for certain events. It also has a part-time beauty salon. They have an onsite doctor and an activity director that does bingo, crafting, and fitness type of activities. It offers transportation to local stores and also events such as taking a group together to go to the movies or for events like that. I only spoke to the sales director, and he's the one who did the tour, and he was very friendly and very nice. I did see him interacting with other residents there. The residents were waving to him and saying "How are you, how's your day going?" so he seemed very friendly and liked by them. I saw the studio because that's what I was interested in for my mother. It was very nice to have a kitchen and a huge bathroom with a roll-in shower. It has a separation wall so that you have that semi-private sleeping area. It also had a nice size closet and it was very nice. I think 600 square feet or so. The whole location is beautiful. Everything still looks brand-new from 5 years ago or whenever it opened. It hasn't been opened very long, but it still looks just like it just did.

My dad moved into Legacy House of Avondale. I like that they provide three meals a day. There's no restrictions on time. He can eat and go freely whenever he wants to. They have activities that he's been a part of. It's very clean and spacious. They've been great to come in and do his housekeeping as well. I know that they have a gym. They have a crafts room. They do something like a men's night once a month. Last week, I know he was a part of something where they had someone come out and have music. He was singing, and all the residents were there enjoying themselves just listening to the music. The staff is super friendly. They know who I am. They know who my dad is, and they call him by name.

The people at Legacy House of Avondale were extremely nice and very informative about all the different aspects of Mom's care. The facility is immaculate, absolutely top of the line in everything, and we were just really impressed with the staff and the facility. It looked high-end. It's top of the line in terms of the furniture, the looks of the building, and all the decor. The apartment my mom's moving into is upgraded and just absolutely beautiful. Everything about the place was top of the line, and we were really impressed with that. We talked to a couple of the residents there, and they were gushing about the food. We asked them how they liked living there, and we talked to people, both who had been there more than a year and a half, and they just really liked the activities and the food and stuff. It was just impromptu; we were just taking the tour and somebody was going down the hall, and we just stopped and asked them, with the sales manager right there with us. And he said, "Yeah, sure. Go ahead and talk to them." So just spontaneously we asked, and it just really opened in telling us how much they liked being there.

My brother is very happy at Legacy House of Avondale. He was on his 2-week lockdown and was out of his room for a week or so, when the facility went back and locked down because Arizona is a hotspot. He loves his room and the people. They haven't gotten to do a lot of the activities because they've been on lockdown, but he got his first vaccine, so I'm very excited over that. He said by the end of this week, they think they're gonna let them all out of quarantine. I am in South Carolina, but my older sister is out there by him. On our FaceTime call, the room was lovely. The staff is exceptional. When my sister got COVID, I had to call the staff to let them know that my brother would be upset, and they were just wonderful, very, very sweet and very helpful. Not physically seeing him and just having one of these situations, I think they went out of their way. He's very happy with the food, too. At this moment, they're not allowed to congregate in any groups, but he's walking in the property, which he loves. It's a beautiful place. He could do exercises when they were still letting them. I know they had a movie room, game rooms, and a dining room, but that didn't last more than a day or two before they got on lockdown.

My father is at Legacy House of Avondale and the care they provide is OK. The communication and the staff are excellent. He has a great room too. I filled out a menu to help them toward the menu, and he hasn't complained about the food yet, so I guess it's good. Right now he is in quarantine and he's not doing anything. The facility is extremely clean and easy to get around.

I actually went out and had a virtual tour and an in-person tour of Legacy House of Avondale. However, the staff said that the assisted living would not be what my mom needs. They'll probably assess her and they'll probably move her to memory care and that's where the price jumped from $2300 minimum to $5300 minimum. My overall experience of it was very good. I like the place; I just can't afford it. I think it's in a very nice location. From what I saw, it's very good. The memory care unit only has 42 people total that they let in there. Right now, there are 24 people so it's not that bad of a deal. It's a wonderful place and it's convenient for me, but it's not affordable. Everybody has his/her individual room. They have cable in the room. They have a nice courtyard for visiting, they have nice big open spaces for all the people to sit around, and they have daily activities for everybody. There were some residents doing puzzles or some were just sitting around talking to each other. I really like the place. I wish it was affordable for my mom. I think she'll be happy there. The rooms were nice size and bright. My mom would have an in-room bathroom. It was just like a little studio apartment. I met the director who was there for the weekend, I met the receptionist and I met a couple of the nurses just walking by. They seemed friendly. The staff was very honest with us, and he wasn't sugar-coating anything. The place seemed like a new facility. It was very clean, very nice, very open, and airy.

I went to Legacy House. I'm looking at, and I like it, but I don't know whether I can do the money off of it. So that's worrying me right now. Very, very nice, and the rooms were nice, the people are nice in there, and it's very extremely clean. They've got nice social rooms, game rooms and stuff. I would recommend the Legacy House except for the fact that it's very expensive, and maybe it's just that because I'm just looking at these now, but I realized that its's that expensive, you've gotta have some money to be able to live there. It's $5300 a month, they want a $200 deposit that's not refundable. I'm like, I don't know whether I can come up with this or not, I'm working on it, and I'm trying to see.

Legacy House of Avondale was very nice, the people seemed professional, and it was a well-constructed facility. It was just a bit out of our price range. It's in a good location. It opened recently so there weren't a lot of people around. The rooms were pretty standard with small kitchens. The dining area was nice, but it was generic as well. They have a beauty shop and transportation. Their marketing and front office people were very professional and friendly. It was professionally done and everything was good quality.
