They are proactive with keeping her busy. You have to record what the person does every day and that makes you aware of what they're doing. They are excellent. They reach out to you if there's a problem and they're willing to work things out for you.

I don't have to be out there so much with her to assist her with everything, it frees up my hands and my time. I like how they show up, come in and talk with her, and spend time with her. They also call if they are going to be late or there is an issue.

I like that I can get out of the house, go grocery shopping, and do other things that are getting difficult to do with my wife. She does things so slowly. I keep getting different people every Sunday, so I'd like some continuity with that. My wife is getting pretty bad, so I'd like to know who the girls are because there were a couple times they didn't work out.

I need their service and could not do without it. They need to train their help. I am paying a lot of money to have people come out here. They send people out here with no training. I do not like the quality of people I am getting. I think that they should train their help and then make home visits, themselves, to see what is going on.

When the caregiver is here, it is great, but because of the dependability issue, it costs me a lot of extra work to figure out coverage with absences. It hasn't been too long with them, but the communication has been good, and the quality of care has been good. The dependability of the caregiver has been bad, though.

I'm just not sure that the help is trained enough, and maybe they should know a little bit more about each individual. They're here most of the time. They come faithfully at the times they're supposed to be here.

I am sorry to hear that you feel this way. We serve clients with a wide variety of difficulty and we strive to make sure all our caregivers have the skills and tools to be successful. Often we utilize our RN to enforce/train the caregivers in specific cases as well as an extensive database with training modules to assist. Sometimes a caregiver can over estimate their skills and experience. I would request you contact the office at 602-438-1300 and express your concerns so that we can work to either get the caregiver the training they need or replace them with somebody that is a better fit. I like that they try to be helpful and try to please me to help me get well. They do a very good job. By giving me some helping hands when I have asked for them because I needed a lot of help with what is going on with my health right now. They have been very accommodating to my needs.

I like them. They provide what you ask of them. They've picked a great caregiver and my husband loves them. His life hasn't been interrupted. The caregiver takes over when I'm not here. He hasn't reacted negatively, so the care is the same that I would give.

I have had good luck with the caregivers that help my mom. Overall, it has been a good experience. My mom is safer in the shower and that makes my life better. My mom doesn't fight with me about showering anymore. When needed, I can add things besides showering. I am not available to drive three times every day to check her blood pressure.

They could have been more reliable by showing up all the time when they where scheduled because sometimes I would be gone for the whole day. They could have showed up and stayed for the full time they where scheduled or just stopped by to check on my loved one instead of just knocking on the door and leaving because my loved one was hard of hearing.

Dear Alberta G_1, Typically, this is where an agency writes to dispute your claims. This will be a little different than most. For most of your statement I agree with, however, please allow me to paint the full picture. Your loved one lives in an independent community where we have an on-sight program, which allows for short period visits, its very cost affective. Unfortunately you don’t get the luxury of picking your caregivers and it’s expected that the requested time is flexible. Your loved one, did not care for one of the caregivers (nobody’s fault, we all have personality preferences) so she would intentionally not answer the door. We were aware of the hearing challenges and would be patient. You paid for 15 minutes of services, most of which was spent trying to get her to open the door. I am sorry that the services did not work for you, and often did not charge you for the service. This service works very well for those not ready for Assisted Living. ComForCare is very flexible with their hours and the caregiver taking care of my loved one is wonderful. The caregivers are here to take my loved one for a walk and do things like puzzles and talk. It also helps me be able to run errands.
