Just a horrible place. The staff doesn't care and the management doesn't care. They hide it all behind a sweet facade. Beware

Personal Care at Evergreen did not look to me like they were takin as good care of people, and the atmosphere was nowhere close to as good as the other places I visited. It wasn't the type of place I would want to put my mother.

My sister was here for a year. I dropped in at any time and found everything to be just fine. Clean, fully staffed, and kind folks. At Christmas, they provided a banquet room for my sister and 15 members of her family (me included) to have dinner together. They provided the meal to all of us at no cost. I tried to tip the wait staff and cooks, but they declined and just said "Merry Christmas!) My sister has now passed, but since she couldn't come home, I am glad her last year was at Evergreen

Evergreen Assisted Living was close to home and it would be easy for me to visit my mother-in-law everyday if we put her there. When I went there to visit, the place seemed old and did not seem clean. It did not have a warm and caring feeling. The employees I saw seemed bugged down and looked very tired. There were no conversation when they cared for the residents. When they fed, they did no talk to the residents but they just fed. There were residents in wheelchairs who just wheeled themselves back and forth, and they had breathing tubes in their noses. I saw one lady treating someone and was just very cold about it. For me, older people were important.

As someone who frequents the news, I have heard my share of horror stories involving the lack of care involved in assisted living communities. But, with an open mind, I supported my family's decision to move my grandmother to Assisted Living at Evergreen. In my grandmother's time of need, the first thing she deserved was a place that catered to her needs in a way that made her more comfortable and independent. Even though I approached the situation as cynically as possible, I was relieved when I met the staff in her new community. That which offered the most reassurance was the staff treats their clients like the loved people that they are. From the soft water and the smooth sheets, to the community full of her peers, my grandmother consistently comments that she feels as though she is on vacation without a care in the world or problem to worry about.

Very professional and helpful staff. The facility is geared more for residents who are not as active and mobile. There are not a lot of activities as some other facilities. Excellent care of residents.
