"My mother-in-law stayed at Paramount Senior Living at Peters Township. It's a very clean facility and has a very professional staff. It seems like a very good place for my mother-in-law to be in. Her room is a suite. It has an area for her bed, a table, and a small kitchenette. There's a bathroom. It's very nice. It's reasonable compared to other places. It was cheaper than some and more expensive than others, but the facility was so nice. We chose it because of how nice it was inside."

"My mother has been a resident of Mt. Vernon for 4 months. This facility provides a very homelike, secure environment for her and has met ,and in some instances ,exceeded my expectations. The nursing staff has been exceptional in evalutating and implementing a care program that has worked well for her transition. When I have any suggestions or concerns regarding my mother's care, the administration is readily accessable and willing to offer suggestions and/or implement positive changes. I am very happy with many of the on-site services at Mt. Vernon. Genesis Rehab has been exceptional in helping my mother be as independent and safe as possible for her age. The staff at Mt. Vernon has treated my mother with kindness and love. Being an RN myself, I can truly appreciate the hard work and devotion of the workers here. "

"My first experience with Evergreen was in 2008 when my mother was declining and was unable to care for herself. We admitted her to Evergreen, sadly, against her wishes. The administrator and staff went above and beyond to make my mother feel comfortable and welcome and showed utmost patience for her. When her needs became too much for the home, they referred her to a nursing home facility. Because of our positive experience with Evergreen in 2008, we were more than happy to bring our father there. The facility is very nicely decorated and brightly lit for the residents, with several lounge areas for them to enjoy. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean by the staff. We have found the staff to be very kind and courteous to all the residents and the administrators are very on the ball and quick to call us when there is a health problem with our father. He has lived at Evergreen for two years now and in that time he has made many friends and has had more of a social life than he'd had in years. Several times a year, Evergreen hosts family events for the residents and their families, all of which are a lot of fun for everybody. The only suggestion I have for the facility would be that I wish they'd have a van for the residents so that they can get out shopping or just go for a ride once in a while. I'm sure people would be willing to pay for this amenity. Other than that, I am extremely happy with the care my parents have received at Evergreen. "

"I VISITED MY BROTHER IN THIS PLACE. HE IS ON A WALKER AND OXYGEN AND HE WAS PUT IN A PRIVATE ROOM UPSTAIRS WHERE HE HAS TO WALK UP TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AND CARRY HIS WALKER WITH HIM.THERE IS SOMEONE DOWNSTAIRS WHO IS ON OXYGEN WHERE THEY COULD PUT HIM. I BELIEVE THEY PUT HIM IN THE PRIVATE ROOM SO THEY COULD COLLECT MORE MONEY. WHEN HE LEFT THE HOSPOTAL HE WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 1200.00 A MONTH AND HE IS PAYING 1500.00. HE IS ON DISABILITY AND HAS TO PAY FOR INSURANCE AND PERSONAL NEEDS, AND MEDICINE. HE DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH LEFT TO DO THIS. IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE THAT NEEDS CARE I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS PLACE. IT IS VERY DEPRESSING AND SOMEONE WHO IS ALREADY DEPRESSED IS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER. THIS IS EWING MANOR WEST IN ROGERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA"

"My mom is currently at Standish Assisted Living, and it is a fabulous place. They have very personal care. It is a home owned by a woman, and she only takes some people at a time. She has staff that includes doctors and nurses. It's actually wonderful. I'm very, very happy with it. They helped my mother out to the bathroom and with everything. The staff will just do anything that you need. They even cook the meals for them right there, and it smells wonderful. It's home cooked food like potatoes and chicken casseroles, and they all eat together. The home is very clean, and the layout is really nice. It has a little kitchen with a table, where they can sit down and eat. There are televisions everywhere. There is a recliner. Somebody can sit in it for the day or a few hours if they want to, and just be there where everyone is. They have single bedrooms, six bathrooms, a great big patio or deck outside that they can sit out when the weather is nice, and there is a table and umbrellas there to sit under too. They do not just sit around and stare at the television the whole day. They like to engage the residents with each other. They also take them out sometimes for a little drive. She will load a couple of people in the car and go for a little drive to Dairy Queen or something like that if somebody wants to go there. They have a pretty average price. It is not exorbitant, and it doesn't go up. They have one price that covers everything. The doctors take any insurance that you have, and there is no monthly fees for PPE's and stuff. It is beautiful, friendly, open, airy, and you just feel like you are part of the place."

"I was able to tour Southminster Place. They seemed very attentive with their services and they had a very good system set up to attend to residents. The staff who assisted me during the tour was knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. Everything about the facility was clean and thoughtfully planned out. They had community areas or sitting areas for people, and what they have that other places don't is that they have a country kitchen on each floor where residents can go get snacks or cook and bake if they want. It is a full kitchen where people can congregate, or you can have your family, or have someone come in and serve for you."

"My sister was here for a year. I dropped in at any time and found everything to be just fine. Clean, fully staffed, and kind folks. At Christmas, they provided a banquet room for my sister and 15 members of her family (me included) to have dinner together. They provided the meal to all of us at no cost. I tried to tip the wait staff and cooks, but they declined and just said "Merry Christmas!) My sister has now passed, but since she couldn't come home, I am glad her last year was at Evergreen "

"This is a excellent facility. Our 95 year old father was there for rehab and was able to achieve his goals in one week and return home to resume all of his activities. Due to Covid -19 precautions, visitation was limited. Screening and scheduling for visiting was handled in a timely manner. As visitors, we felt welcome and had opportunities to interact with staff and ask questions. The staff provided a nurturing environment during his time there. It was obvious to us that the employees at this facility enjoy their jobs. "

"Personal Care at Evergreen has a home-like setting. It isn't too institutional. There's lot of activities, big TVs to watch the news, ladies that could help my brother with the things he needs, and a chef that cooks good food. It's also reasonably clean. The dining room is adequate for space and lighting. The staff is friendly and helpful too. It costs a little more than what we paid before, but we're getting more out of it. They just need to change their sign outside. You can actually see it when you directly look at it; but when you're driving the car, you don't see it at that angle."

"Generations Elder Care seems very nice, and they seem very caring. It is located very nicely. My sister’s room is just large enough for her. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. They do have activities for the residents, and they make them go to the dining room to eat. They don’t want them to eat in their rooms; they want them to move around. I haven’t eaten there, but I was able to observe her eating and what they serve, and I met the cook and everybody. From what I saw, the food was very good, and if they didn’t like it, the cook fixed something that they would eat. "

"I'm very happy with Transitions Healthcare. The place is always clean and they have adequate personnel. Everybody who work there is very kind and my mother is very well taken care of. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. They have a lot of activities. Every time I go there to see my mother, she's always clean. All the residents are treated with respect and they all look like theyre very well taken care of. They don't smell like feces or urine. They all look like they're happy and not drugged. They're all interacting with each other and they play games. I'm very pleased with the place. My mom likes the food and says it's good."

"My mom moved into Strabane Woods Of Washington. She's at assisted living level two. They have three levels and then memory care. There's a doctor on site who does a lot of the assessments, and they put her at level two, then she'll go up to level three, and then after level three, it's memory care. Each of them has an a la carte care package that's at a different price. You pay a different amount for each level of care. The basic room rate is $4,200 a month, and then you pay for your level of care on top of that. So, right now, it's $1,200 per month for level two care. It's awesome. We love it. They're great. It is a great place and has great people. Even just from when you called them the very first time, they've been wonderful. The coordinator gave me her cell phone number. My mom is very happy. I looked at the menu, and it was basic. The facility is wonderful, and it feels like a home. It didn't feel like a hospital. It's carpeted. There are lamps and furniture, and it's nice. They have activities every day to keep her busy."

"My dad was in Justine's Personal Care Home for awhile when he broke his hip. It's close to my house, everybody was good, and the owner was nice, but they didn't have activities. It's a nice, small place, so they usually only had one person on duty. My dad has dementia and a lot of other people had it a lot worse, so he was very bored with nobody to talk to. "

"The facility I observed when I visited Hawthorne Woods in Washington, Pennsylvania, was quite frankly very good. The assistants were wonderful, and obviously took exquisitely good care of all of their patients. Technically classified as and "Adult Day Care," the facility supplied patients with all the the basic amenities which they needed to live their daily lives to the fullest. Patients received such items as good food and drink, help with tasks like grooming and hygiene, and assistance with transportation to and from religious events. The dedication of the staff and the overall happiness of the elderly really struck me as something incredibly special. "

"My mother was in Harmony at Morgantown. She died a year ago, but she was there until she needed more care. She was happy with the place. She was in their assisted living facility and was there for 3 years. They had a lot of activities that she participated in. She wasn't a big activity person, but she participated every time they had bingo. She also participated in a Bible study group and attended church services, as various churches took turns hosting them. They have movies there, but she's not big on that. She ate all her meals in the dining room. The only negative about that was that when staffing was low, which it was at times, they were very slow in getting meals out to the clients. They would be sitting there for 30 to 45 minutes waiting for a meal, so that was the main thing my mom complained about a lot. I think she mostly liked the food, though. They had a limited menu they could pick from if they didn't want what was on the menu, and they usually had two choices. They had special meals at holiday times and invited family in, and that was always very nice and very good. I think the staff members were all very caring. They all had good relationships with my mom and were very concerned about her. They have a library, which my mom used and enjoyed. They didn't have much outdoor space, but they're up on a hill, and you can walk around the parking lot. Other than that, there really isn't other space to walk around. People would walk their dogs there, but my mom did not walk outside because she had difficulties with her balance. I think they're very expensive compared to other places, but my mom was very happy there. I think if you can afford it, then it's a good place to be."

"I liked everything about The Village at Heritage Point. It was very clean, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. The dinner setting was almost like a cruise or resort that you're going to for vacation. I was impressed by the personnel, the cleanliness of it, and the care they give to the people. "
