"My friend has already moved into Tygart Center at Fairmont Campus. It's very nice. We haven't been able to get in because of COVID. Hopefully all is well. My friend says everything is doing well. She loves the food. She has choices. She said everybody is treating her well. Nothing but good. They have been really good with her."

"So far, we're very pleased with Wishing Well Assisted Living Community at Fairmont. My in-laws have been at this residence for three years now, so we chose to move my parents there, too, and we have just been very pleased with the care and the concern of the staff. They have just been fantastic. We like it. It is all on one floor with a nursing station in each building. They have different facilities on one campus and so we just like the whole layout of the place. They can't do enough for you. They're very kind. They get back to you immediately if you call with questions. They have things going on daily."

"Wishing Well is a very good facility. The staff is very friendly and they take excellent care of the residents there. They also provide really good meals for the residents as well. There are also lots of activities for the residents to participate in. "

"The staff at Pleasant Acres Christian Haven was nice. I liked that they seem to know what they were doing. The rooms and furniture were pretty good. They looked clean and neat. Although it's not quite as nice as some of the others and it looks more like a nursing home, it's organized and they have some activities to do. It was not real big. There are just about 12 or 14 rooms. They have an outdoor seating area, but nothing much extra."

"Manchin Assisted Living seemed to be alright. It just had an odor to the place that I didn't care for, and it was more like a nursing home. The rooms were pretty nice though and every room had its own nice private bathroom. The staff was very nice too and very knowledgeable, and the dining area looked clean."

"I liked everything about The Village at Heritage Point. It was very clean, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. The dinner setting was almost like a cruise or resort that you're going to for vacation. I was impressed by the personnel, the cleanliness of it, and the care they give to the people. "

"I have chosen Harmony at Morgantown for my parents because the rooms are large, the facility is clean, and there's a lot of activities. Everybody is super nice. And it's also located near to my sister, who lives in Morgantown. The cleanliness is awesome. It's great. For amenities they have a theater room, an activity room, a library, a meeting area where they have music and stuff for them, a craft room, and a workout room. They have onsite physical therapy. Both my parents are getting physical therapy and occupational therapy there onsite. It's not like having to bring the agency in. They also have the dining room. My parents say that the food is very good. My parents haven't done a lot of activities yet, but what they've done, they've enjoyed them."

"As someone who frequents the news, I have heard my share of horror stories involving the lack of care involved in assisted living communities. But, with an open mind, I supported my family's decision to move my grandmother to Assisted Living at Evergreen. In my grandmother's time of need, the first thing she deserved was a place that catered to her needs in a way that made her more comfortable and independent. Even though I approached the situation as cynically as possible, I was relieved when I met the staff in her new community. That which offered the most reassurance was the staff treats their clients like the loved people that they are. From the soft water and the smooth sheets, to the community full of her peers, my grandmother consistently comments that she feels as though she is on vacation without a care in the world or problem to worry about. "

"The nurse and the owner of Sisters Elder Care LLC went to where my husband was to interview him, talk with him, and talk with the people that had been caring for him, which I thought was very good. That's the first time that's ever happened, to have them go to the place and look at him before they accept him. So, I was impressed with that and then when he was to move in, they had everything ready for him. It was all done. There are so many things that I like about this placement so far. One is there is somebody with my husband at night, awake and watching, in case anyone needs anything or gets upset. The first couple of nights, he didn't sleep there, which he had in the other home, and was up all night. They went in and they sat with him and talked with him until he went back to sleep. Then they started trying to figure out how to help him with that, and finally, we figured out with him what was keeping him awake, and once that was corrected, he started sleeping through the night within 2 or 3 days. They were just very attentive. They have individual bedrooms. So that's one person in a bedroom. They have a maximum of eight people there. I was very impressed with the staff they had there. I like the setting. It's a very cheerful, happy, and pleasant place. They pay a lot of attention to the residents. They have made a big difference in him in only a couple of weeks. They do a lot of individual attention and they also have an open plan for the main area so that they can watch on big television, play games, or go there and watch what they're doing. Like if they're cooking for dinner or so forth. They can go over and look. They just have so many things. They have healthy snacks that the residents can get themselves if they want it. They try to help people. They've already helped my husband who was not reading, was not doing anything, and was not talking to anybody. Now, they have everything ready for him. He's reading the paper again. He's working on puzzles. He's playing checkers with one of the people that's there. There's a variety of things for them to do daily. They're close to Bridgeport, within driving distance and also to Fairmont. So, within three to twenty miles, those towns are located. Each person has a bedroom and it is decorated as to whatever that person is interested in. It has a TV in the room, a desk that they put in for my husband to use his computer, and a window in the room that they can look out to. It's pretty well planned for that person. You can bring anything you want to decorate the room. They have a nurse on call who can be there within three minutes no matter what time of the day. They've already brought my husband's sugar to normal. So, their food is healthy. There are little snacks all around the room that the residents can help themselves with that are healthy snacks like yogurt or fresh fruit and different things. They have very balanced meals. He eats everything that's on his plate."

"We were impressed with Madison upon walking through the door. The cleanliness stood out. There was no odor whatsoever. Everyone we encountered went over and above with our Dad. He is 98 and he left there walking and strong enough to help us with his daily routine in the comfort of his own home, which was our goal. We noticed immediately every employee seemed very happy and cheerful and the residents seemed happy and were clean and dressed. We never witnessed a staff member being anything but caring, never a harsh voice to any resident. The food was mostly home cooked with a wide variety . If Dad couldn’t eat something they had it was no problem. Many times they made him something else due to his swallowing issues. Thank You to every employee at Madison and keep up the excellent care"

"The people here are very good and caring, but I wish they had a live-in dog or cat, which I think would be a real addition. They have activities and they pay a lot of attention to Mother. I'm very pleased with them. The food is also good. They have two special areas that specialize in people with dementia. One is for people who like to roam and that keeps them safe because they're contained in one area, which is very nice. There are two aides there all the time. They have another special section for people who need a really quiet area. They have piano players come in, visiting animals, holiday events and parties, and some exercising. The place is very pretty and they do a very nice job of holiday decorating. The windows are low enough so that if you're in bed you can still look out the windows easily. The rooms have attractive shapes to them and they're not just boxes. The place is very colorful, which is nice. It's very fresh and clean."
