My mother was in Harmony at Morgantown. She died a year ago, but she was there until she needed more care. She was happy with the place. She was in their assisted living facility and was there for 3 years. They had a lot of activities that she participated in. She wasn't a big activity person, but she participated every time they had bingo. She also participated in a Bible study group and attended church services, as various churches took turns hosting them. They have movies there, but she's not big on that. She ate all her meals in the dining room. The only negative about that was that when staffing was low, which it was at times, they were very slow in getting meals out to the clients. They would be sitting there for 30 to 45 minutes waiting for a meal, so that was the main thing my mom complained about a lot. I think she mostly liked the food, though. They had a limited menu they could pick from if they didn't want what was on the menu, and they usually had two choices. They had special meals at holiday times and invited family in, and that was always very nice and very good. I think the staff members were all very caring. They all had good relationships with my mom and were very concerned about her. They have a library, which my mom used and enjoyed. They didn't have much outdoor space, but they're up on a hill, and you can walk around the parking lot. Other than that, there really isn't other space to walk around. People would walk their dogs there, but my mom did not walk outside because she had difficulties with her balance. I think they're very expensive compared to other places, but my mom was very happy there. I think if you can afford it, then it's a good place to be.

My mom moved into Harmony at Morgantown. The staff was very good. They have quite a few activities. They've had people come in and sing and entertain them. They've got all kinds of different things, games and entertainment. We haven't signed up for everything yet. She's only been there a month, but that was one of the attractions, that they had so much entertainment because otherwise, they just sit around bored.

I have chosen Harmony at Morgantown for my parents because the rooms are large, the facility is clean, and there's a lot of activities. Everybody is super nice. And it's also located near to my sister, who lives in Morgantown. The cleanliness is awesome. It's great. For amenities they have a theater room, an activity room, a library, a meeting area where they have music and stuff for them, a craft room, and a workout room. They have onsite physical therapy. Both my parents are getting physical therapy and occupational therapy there onsite. It's not like having to bring the agency in. They also have the dining room. My parents say that the food is very good. My parents haven't done a lot of activities yet, but what they've done, they've enjoyed them.
