The Loving Ones Adult Family Homes

My mother-in-law absolutely adores this adult family home! She requires heavy total care and is also diabetic which has led to several problems in finding a facility that both offered the care she needed and that she was happy with. The Loving Ones has definitely met all her needs and more! Her diabetes, one of her biggest issues, has stabilized since arriving here and it was very surprising to see how quickly her sugars went down. She was able to bring all of her belongings with her and decorate/paint her room however she wanted. Furthermore, I am extremely impressed by the level of care and attention that she has received. The staff are friendly and seem very diligent in making sure that residents are comfortable at all times. She also actually enjoys the food at this home too which was lacking (and sometimes inedible) at her previous facilities. I would definitely recommend this home to others!

This facility has been a true blessing for my mother. To give a little background, my mother was in a well known assisted living facility that was advertised to have RNs providing around the clock care, which I later found out was false. My mother has dementia and the assisted living facility she was previously at medicated her heavily to the point that she no longer even spoke- in order to control her dementia. I was also concerned because this place advertised that they were experts in memory care. When I found Loving Ones, I immediately felt comfortable. The facility is beautiful and I felt a warmth and comfort as soon as I entered; like it was truly a home and not just a hospital like enviroment. The owner has over 25 years experience in the care of the elderly and was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. Believe me, I was very skeptical due to being lied to from the assisted living facility. Today, my mother is thriving. She socializes with other patients and joins in the activities Loving Ones provides. Most of the medications the assisted living facility MD prescribed her, she is longer on and is doing much better. This facility is immaculate and they even have a licensed chef who prepares all the meals. I highly recommend Loving Ones.

Loving Ones appears from the outside and even inside to be a really nice home. But from my observation, the care is seriously lacking in giving my mother what she needs. They have four or five homes over there. I think the work attitude is not that great at all, and I'm disappointed from what I have seen. The rooms are alright, and it was fairly spacious. She was able to really bring a lot of things with her considering she lived in an apartment before. She didn't get to bring everything though. I have mixed feelings about it. It is a brand new built home, and they are adequate. She sits in a room that is a combination kitchen and dining room. I have not really seen the food that much, but I've seen that the people are still expressing that they are hungry afterwards. I have been told that the food was made in one of the other houses and then brought over. I honestly haven't been there right at a meal, but I've come after a meal. It seems that most of the people were hungry and still wanted something else. They weren’t really expressing that the meals were extremely delicious. It wasn't a big feature that was stressed or talked about. One of the houses has something that they were supposed to be doing. Just as the decision was being finalized, I went, and some people were telling me that they had some things going on in the blue house. However, some of the people were expressing that they didn't really like it. That all it was going over there was coloring or drawings some pictures. They do have some music that takes place there, but it just didn't seem to be as great as some of the other things I saw happening when she lived at assisted living. It seems to have a good reputation online, but I'm just not impressed with it
