My friend is a resident of Mercy Elderly Assisted Living Inc. The community was fine. I was uncomfortable with the arrangements. I addressed a couple of things that I thought would be a little more comfortable for my friend, but they didn't try to accommodate him. I understand safety, but they wouldn't allow him to walk around just in case he would have fallen. But my friend needed exercise. It wasn't allowed because he needed just to be in his room by himself at all times. They never could explain why or give me a reason why, so I was uncomfortable with it. A couple of weeks later, when I went by and took him some food, I spent like an hour outside waiting. I had a point where I took on some stuff and some clothing because the clothing that he was in was soiled. They said that somehow, they got mixed up with somebody else's clothing. The cleanliness of the facility was good. The front grounds could have been kept better. When they come out, they should be able to sit on some grass, but it was nothing but dirt. It needs some maintenance on the outside. The inside was pretty outdated. It should have even a little sitting area. They had a chaplain come in and would pray. They do have a barber once a month, and you have to pay extra.

The services received at Mercy's Elderly Assisted Living made aunt's last days very rewarding. Mercy and staff did everything necessary not only to make my aunt happy but also the family. We always felt welcome when visiting my aunt and the other residents.
