May 23, 2022. It isn't all it's cracked up to be. Yes, it has many good/great features and amenities. What it lacks is a Board of Directors and a "management" company that gives a damn. They are failing in their fiduciary duties. Unfortunately, the few lawyers we've talked to won't take our case to court - lame excuses. Our landscaping company damaged my lawn around April 4th with one of their tractors. We filed 4 complaints, Brightview said "the grass has grown back." We have FIVE mud holes in our lawn as of 5/23/22. They did more damage last week with more mud holes. Think twice, it'll cost you. PS Some examples of mismanagement: we just spent 4PLUS MILLION $$$ to update our lake house, and some major and some minor equipment has already failed and needs replacement. The Board also approved our tree replacement problem at a cost of $1,040 PER TWIG that they're putting in place. I can get a a larger caliper tree at Pikes for $200 plus $150 to install. Just sayin.....

We were more interested in Sun City; they had just about everything. They have a golf course, indoor tennis, a big indoor gym, a big indoor swimming pool, and an outside pool as well. They have lakes where you can canoe or kayak, and they have bowling on the green. It was only 10 minutes from my daughter’s house.

Sun City Carolina Lakes is a wonderful retirement community/ assisted living facility. My grandparents currently live here and have had nothing but positive experiences. They love that they can drive around on all the wooded paths in their golf cart. They also enjoy all the group activities and movie nights. It is in a great location and close to everything. MY grandfather suffers from Alzheimer's so it is important that they have constant care, yet my grandmother still feels as if she's in a house. The floorplan is spacious and the patio has a great view of the lake. They like that they are able to keep pets. Their neighbors and friendly and the staff is great. It is gated with a guard on duty so they feel safe. The streets are a little hard to navigate if you don't know your way around, but overall they are extremely happy. I would recommend sun city to anyone based upon their positive experience.
