My friend is in St. Mary’s Villa Residence. It is fantastic and has a very caring atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and take care of her extremely well. We are very satisfied. The meals are very good, and they have a very beautiful dining room with waiters and waitresses; it’s like going out for dinner. I will tell other people to definitely go have a tour and see what they have to offer. They have a lot of different options as far as semi-private and private rooms. They have a lot of activities, like movies every night, outings, and crafts. For Saint Patrick’s Day, they had dancers and groups that came in to sing. They had a gospel group that sang for Easter and all kinds of services. They have a lot of options.

My mother went in St Mary's in March 2015. I told the girl that admitted her, who was the activities director, that she had money for about 16 months. I had tax returns and bank and investment statements. She did not want to see them because she said when mom's money ran out she would be sent to the nursing home side and they would get the Medicaid grant. Now they are reniging and said we should not have been told that. We trusted them and we have no place to take mom and don't know how to get help.

St. Mary's Villa Residence is a beautiful facility. I went to see the place, but they didn’t have a private room open for mom. The staff were very nice and professional. It seemed to be a very well-run facility. The room I saw was beautiful and they have lots of activities.

I was last at this facility about 3 years ago and it was very nice. The halls and rooms look very much like home. They are painted nice soft colors, not stark white like in a hospital. They have private rooms available for the residents with private bathrooms and a small kitchenette with a mini refrigerator and sink. They also have a wonderful cafeteria and a fairly flexible meal schedule. The staff take wonderful care of the residents while still respecting their privacy. The nurses aides help with showering, dispensing medications, cleaning the resident rooms and doing their laundry. The residence also has a great activities department where they do arts and crafts, games, trips and gardening. There are two amenities in the Villa that I think are very unique. The first is the in-house hair salon that has a professional stylist come in a few days a week. The second is the chapel complete with Sunday and holiday services. I spoke with a few of the residents during my time there and they really seemed to enjoy their home.
