My parent is at Our Family Home. It is a house with five bedrooms and five people. She is getting excellent care. I would recommend this facility. In Ohio, we don't have that many facilities like this one. My parent has Alzheimer's, and the only thing available for Alzheimer's patients was the traditional Alzheimer's lockdown facility where they have 20 to 30 people and maybe 2 to 3 caretakers. We tried those, and they just can't help us. There were just too many people. Our Family Home is a much better alternative. There is always staff turnover, but these people have been here for awhile. The staff here is much better than the other facility. They don't have a full time activity director, but these people do have Alzheimer's. However they do bring in individual things for individual needs. Besides, I would rather have my parent bathed, fed, and taken care of than somebody trying to make her play bingo when she doesn't even know who she is.

I went to see Our Family Home at Olentangy River Road, and I was impressed with their staff. They were of so much help to me. I was able to see their common area, but I did not see it as much.
