We visited Henderson House before Christmas. I like how personable and interested they were in providing exactly what my mom needs. They were flexible with the terms of what she wanted or didn't want, and they did it in a very welcoming way. I really wanted her to consider going there, but she is not ready to resolve that level of independence because she wants to remain as independent as possible. So, she just doesn't want to do that, but it would have been the ideal place. They were very engaging, very professional, and understanding of the population and the needs of their tenants. You could tell they were really kind-hearted people. I had a lasagna dinner there, and it was delicious. The physical size of the rooms was a little crowded. The community rooms were a little bit small, too. There were common spaces and kitchens, and then everybody had their own individual rooms. Some of the rooms have their own bathrooms, and some have shared bathrooms, so there's some flexibility with that.

Everything was very nice at Henderson House. The dining area is very clean and very spacious with good meals. Most of the residents eat together three times a day, so it’s very nice. They have a lot of structured activities, and a couple of entertainment options. The staff was wonderful.
