"We have an aide to care for my husband, who is not safe to be left alone even for brief periods due to frequent fall.(6+ per day). They give him showers, dress him including briefs and elastic stockings, they fix breakfast or simple meals, stay at his side for ambulating , wash dishes, dust and he challenges them to card games. I am able to run errands or appointments and sometimes just escaping to the basement for reading or sewing knowing he is safe and I can relax for “ me” time.They have become new friends that care for him and we are so greatly appreciate them."

"I used Maxim Healthcare for 2 years, nothing but problems...From nursing smoking, showing up in jeans and wife beaters, to nurses falling asleep, using their computer, using dish soap to wash his eyes, to diaper cream on his mickey button. I attempted to talk to the "office" people to get things to change. They would get rid of one problem and replace it with another. They even pulled all nurses from us, because we were choosing to move on to another agency because they were not fixing any problem we had. If you are smart, DO NOT USE MAXIM. I am contacting the better business bureau and the HIPPA code complaint lines for this business."

"The first agency I had was Easter Seals. I just chose them from a list of agencies that my case manager gave me. The aide they sent me was really good, but she quit the company in about a week and they didn't send anybody for a whole week. The service was okay, but they didn't have enough people working for them. There were a lot of times, they didn't have an aide. But they were nice to me. They need to get more people to work for them or have enough aides. "

"I tried a couple of home care agencies and I wasn't satisfied with any of them until I found Christian Home Care. In less than a week, they found a good match for my wife. The caregivers they sent to us are very good and very helpful. They do what they said they were going to do. We also worked together and negotiated on the things that they do on a regular basis. "We're using Amada Senior Care for two months now. They give my dad his medication, they give him a bath, and they go in and check on him making sure he's doing okay. But I think they do that out of the goodness of their heart because we don't pay them to go in and check on him, just the medication. They're in there just to watch him take his medicines. They're not nurses, so they can't administer his medication. He is diabetic, and he has to take a shot. I myself distribute the pills in his pillbox every week, and then they just make sure he takes them."
