My Mom started out at StoryPoint on a trial basis. She was allowed to stay 30-90 days in a furnished apartment and then decided to roll in to a regular lease. I have been very impressed. The staff goes out of their way making residents feel at home and calling them by name. Everyone has been very helpful and friendly. It is a gorgeous facility. I visited about 8 senior living facilities before deciding on StoryPoint and have been happy with my decision.

I live on my own now, so I know I can do that at least for a while yet, but at StoryPoint Waterville, I would have to move to an assisted living area, and I don't want to be separated that way. I was also told that it was an inclusive facility. As I was waiting by the cafeteria, you could tell was getting ready to serve because all these people were lining up for their dinner. And there was like 4 or 5 women in either chairs or wheelchairs, and I just walked over and said, 'How do you like it here? How long have you been here?' And they all said they loved it. They've been there two years. So they went in to the dining room and sat at a table of eight, which is what they had. And then some poor woman came in who you knew that this was the first day she had to come in here alone, and she said, 'Is this chair open?' And one woman said, no, and another woman said, 'These are all taken. This is our table. You need to sit over there at the square ones over there by the windows.' And it just turned me off. I said, this is not inclusive at all. I know that the facility can't change that, but I don't want to live with people like that. I tried their food, and it was wonderful. Regarding the activities, the staff said they had a bridge tournament going on over here. He said, 'We had bridge lesson yesterday and we're having a tournament today.' So they were doing something. And the staff introduced me to other staff members. I think I met every janitor and cook there was, which was fine with me. I like those people. I think those people are what make the whole community work. And the people who work there were really, really nice.

Story Point is a beautiful and clean facility, with an excellent range of services. My parents are really enjoying the food and keep commenting how friendly the entire staff is. We can't say enough good things about the Waterville, OH location. Joe and Selby were so welcoming and professional on our tours and in explaining all the options and finances. Tara has been instrumental in getting my mom the care she needs. She has gone above and beyond her call of duty to ensure my mom's health and safety, including visiting her in the hospital. They have all been so accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone.

StoryPoint Waterville was very nice. It's just that we couldn't afford that facility, but it was a very nice community. The people were very pleasant. We would have liked if Mom could have gone there, that would have been nice. The room was nice. It had a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom, and a sink. It was very clean. The posting of their activities looked like they kept people very active.

Our mother was one of the founders at StoryPoint. She loved her spacious apartment, furnishing it to her liking. Mom truly appreciated the chef/ servers, cleaning, transportation, and maintenance staff. She also enjoyed the social activities offered, especially book club. Eating her meals and visiting with her friends in the beautiful dining room always brought her great pleasure. The management/ clerical staff were very kind to mother, treating her as if she were family.

I saw StoryPoint Waterville. It was new and clean. I like their menu and their chef. It turned out we're members of the same organization of chefs, so we know a lot of other familiar people and that was fun. The people at StoryPoint Waterville were nice. It was a three-level facility, so you could be independent, then with assisted care, and then total care. I enjoyed it as far as I could remember. It was OK. They have a bus to take you around if you need to go somewhere. Waterville is a nice quaint little village, so it's nice.

Most important to our family was the care my mother received. Every staff member I met was caring, kind and dedicated to keeping mom happy, well and safe! The Wellness Director provided caring, knowledgeable and appropriate guidance to our family as Mom's needs changed. The staff was truly fantastic!

I was very impressed with my tour at StoryPoint. The facility is beautiful and the location is very convenient to surrounding towns and Toledo proper. The rooms were well laid out and there were several options available in size and accommodations. They have an on-site salon, exercise room, pool table room as well as a formal dining room and Cafe for more casual dining. The menu I saw was impressive! The staff were all very friendly and I was introduced to some of the folks living there and they were all very nice too! Definitely worth a look in my opinion.

My mother-in-law is in StoryPoint Waterville enhanced living. They've got independent living, enhanced, assisted, and memory care. The living community is excellent. It's located in a very good place. It's centrally located to stores. There are grocery stores if they want to go grocery shopping. There's a fire department and a hospital very close by. The facility itself is immaculate. The hallways are very well lit and wide. It's absolutely beautiful and very well designed, and flows very well going to all the different hallways and common areas. They have everything that someone needs. It's a true living community. The dining rooms are beautiful. If you're independent, they have an independent dining room. They have the enhanced and assisted living room/dining room as well. They modify it and alter it based upon your needs. The staff is excellent. You can tell they're happy and they enjoy their jobs. If they ever have an off day, you wouldn't know it. Everybody's very friendly and smiling. They project a team environment. They have so many activities for the residents, and they also try to have activities that are inclusive of the families to get involved. They're close to the schools and the schools come over and interact with the community quite often. They have a lot of field trips for the students over there. They've brought in a ballet company. They have happy hour and live entertainment every Wednesday. They have ice cream socials, arts and crafts, and bingo. There's always a full calendar of events for the residents to participate in. They get in the van and they go to places. There's always the opportunity for them to venture outside and go to places. We've dined there multiple times with my mother-in-law, and the food is excellent. The presentation of the food is excellent. They serve it in different size plates and shapes. It's definitely a five-star dining experience. These places are just so overpriced. When I compare it to other facilities, you get a whole lot more for your money, but I still think it's high.

Mom lived in StoryPoint Waterville. However, they promise you things and they don't always communicate with the people of what you're getting. Also, I think it was easier to get lost in there, because of the way it's laid out. Other than that, the facility was very nice. They have a courtyard, a salon, and bingo games for the residents to play.

Both my father and mother have been residents of the memory care unit at Storypoint in Waterville. My father had Alzheimers and my mom has vascular dementia. When we were looking for a place to take care of my parents it bacame apparent quite quickly that Storypoint was a cut above the other facilities out there that deal with memory issues. The rooms are very nice with lots of light and room enough to make their space as much like home as possible. The caregivers there are the best and truly care about my parents. They really go above and beyond so often to make them feel like family. There is always something going on to keep them engaged mentally and physically. Musicians play regularly and they have supervised excursions and activities almost daily. It is always a difficult decision to entrust loved ones care to others, especially those with memory issues which are so difficult and painful to deal with. I can say without a doubt that the decision to trust Storypoint in Waterville with my parents care is one I definitely don't regret.

My parents live in an enhanced living unit at StoryPoint Waterville. We are very happy with their living situation. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, the caregivers are compassionate, the facility is new and beautifully maintained, and the food is great. We regularly receive information about activities for residents. StoryPoint communicates very well with families, and I feel confident that my parents have everything they need. I recommend very highly!

My mom was in an Independent living 1 bedroom apt for 4 years here. She loved it! Plenty of space/balcony with a nice view. She recently moved into an Enhanced Living studio apartment as her needs increased. She loves this apt too and has a beautiful view of an interior courtyard. Staff is awesome- very kind to my mom, plenty of activities to choose daily and 3 sit down served meals a day. She also loves getting pampered at the salon. She has also used onsite physical therapy which was amazing and did not have to leave the building for it. The building and grounds are extremely well kept, pleasant and clean! They also celebrate something every day which is fun!

We couldn’t be happier with the care my mom receives. The staff is so good to her and I can tell they care about her. We have become friends with a lot of the staff. Music is my moms favorite snd they have someone there weekly who plays and sings. Lots of different activities. They do camping weeks, cruising weeks, etc were the weekly activities are focused on a certain theme and they do a great job of planning!

StoryPoint Waterville was extremely clean. There was a lot about it that I liked. They had a large number of community activities that they described. It was a nice place. It's on our list of potential. They showed us the activities calendar and talked about live music events. My mom would be able to go on different activities, which interested me because my mom might participate in activities and not be cooped up all the time. We saw the dining room, which was nice. We saw the actual physical memory unit bedroom that would be my mom's room, and it was nicely put together. They said that she could bring her own furniture. The staff members we met were very personable.

I cannot express what a wonderful experience Storypoint, Waterville was to my Grandmother. She was not happy about transitioning into a Senior Care Facility but within weeks she was having a blast and making new friends. She was often too busy to even take my phone calls because she was off to play cards or listen to music. She was well cared for and presented with endless options of activities, events and entertainment. The staff truly connected with her and she looked forward to seeing them every day! In a short time, it truly became a home for her not because of the building or the amenities but because she was truly cared for.

StoryPoint Waterville was nice. I was very impressed and very pleased. When we first started looking, we were assuming my wife would be able to get in for assisted living but things have changed and she needs skilled nursing now. It would have been extended living for her, but without them being able to do the other stuff, it's no point. They showed us around assisted living during our visit. The place is beautiful and I was quite impressed. The staff and everybody were very friendly. I talked to a couple of residents and they were really happy with the place and were pleased there. It would have been an ideal place but not for my wife. The staff was very knowledgeable and very, very helpful. We were talking a little bit about financing costs and even though we decided that wouldn't be a good place for my wife, the person that was giving us the tour even recommended a couple of other places. I thought that was very, very nice and very helpful. The dining area was nice and large and it looked like a very nice restaurant. The room we saw was very open, very professional-looking. It was nice, very clean, and bright with windows. It looked very warm and hospitable. I met their activities director and they're really on the ball with doing things that keep people of various levels engaged and active. It encourages interaction between the residents.

I like that StoryPoint Waterville has a nice big room. I don't know how all the rooms are, but I know that I'm in a large room with a bathroom inside the room, so I don't have to go out in the hall or anything. It's very clean and seems to be run very well. The employees have all been very nice and very helpful. They have a lot of activities and it depends on the individual people that are here, whether they can do them or not. They have plenty of different activities like bingo and different classes and exercise things. Each section here has its own dining area. They're very nice and very similar to restaurant-style. The food, they usually have at least two choices that you can make. Nothing is ever exactly like what you're used to or have at home, but the food has been fine. The rooms are very nice, very clean and not congested.

I toured StoryPoint Waterville for my dad, and it's a beautiful facility. It is very well kept, and the residents seemed happy. Our only concern is that it was too far away. My mom lives in Florida (for the last 30 years), so driving in the wintertime is going to be a real concern for her. It was just a little bit too far. I actually did not appreciate the person who took me around. He was not very engaged in what he was doing. I know that staff comes and goes, and I think he was fairly new. He was not the best person to be showing me around. That was the only place I felt like that out of everywhere I went. I don't know much about the food. I have some friends who have parents there and I know the parents well. As matter of fact, I saw her when I was there. They have always said that the food is good. During my tour, the woman that I know was involved in a group sitting around by the fireplace, and they were telling jokes. It was fun and cute.

StoryPoint Waterville was beautiful. It was lovely. It was too expensive though. They were the nicest, the cleanest, and were lovely. The menu was beautiful. They had a nice variety for the menu. I only met one staff. He was very nice. He was also a salesman; so of course, he's going to be nice. I didn't really meet the direct care staff. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and nice size. You can bring your own things, which I like. If I could afford it, I probably would consider them.

I completed a tour at StoryPoint Waterville and I am impressed with them. I toured mainly the assisted living side. I was impressed with it because I think they're well-organized and caring. The rooms I saw were very nice. The maintenance looks good and it looks like it's done very well. The staff was very helpful, answered a lot of our questions, and provided a lot of good information. One of the things we like about it is that it's very close to our home. It's also a new facility, or fairly new, and it looks like it's well-run. I didn't try their food but they have several dining areas. They all look like they're nicely appointed, and I was told that they make all their food from scratch there.

StoryPoint Waterville is absolutely beautiful. It's new, it's only a few years old, so everything was up-to-date, there was no old carpeting or wear and tear in the building yet. We saw the independent living and it had a very elegant feel. The staff was very pleasant and very nice, but a little pushy. The dining area was more like restaurant quality. It looked like they had a lot of activities and amenities to offer. There was a lot going on. They were having a beauty contest when we were there. They were modeling clothes and walking the show and everything.

StoryPoint Waterville is new and it's clean. We toured the assisted living. The rooms are bigger, the dining facility is great, you couldn't even compare it to anything. The staff showed us the menu. We were there during meal time, but we didn't eat. I would have to say the environment is slightly more conservative, which is more my dad's personality. Affordability was a big issue though, as it was much more expensive. The staff was great and the facility was top-notch. The furniture was nicer and newer. I also liked the accessibility of getting to elevators and things like that. The layout was a little better than the other ones I've seen. The location was fine. It's an area that's being developed, so there was a grocery store right around it, like you could walk to a Kroger. It has a smaller town feel, but it's being quickly developed, so I don't think that will last. There's access to a metro park, so that was nice. There's a shuttle, but not direct access, so that small-town feel is going to be gone soon.

StoryPoint Waterville had everything that the place we chose had, but the cost was too high. The staff who gave the tour did an excellent job and was professional. The rooms were nice, clean, well-put together, and unfurnished. The atmosphere seemed fine, and the activities were fine. There was plenty of stuff for them to do. What stood out to me was the cleanliness and that it didn't smell.

I looked at StoryPoint Waterville. It was beautiful, and it was new, which was very nice. They seemed to have a lot of amenities, and the conveniences were easily accessible. It seemed like a very nice place. The rooms were small, but that's to be expected, but they were very clean, very nice, and very updated. They have a restaurant, a bistro, and a lounge area with the piano. They have a bus for transportation to appointments and things like that. It seems like they've thought of everything. The staff I met was fine. It just felt very sterile and it didn't feel cozy.

The rooms are nicely presented. Of course they are clean, and contain neutral decor. The staff members are beyond wonderful. My dad adores all of them. He tells me that the staff makes his residency there the best experience. They have always been kind and accommodating to me as well. Everyday is a celebration such as chocolate cake day, Dr. Suess day, etc. The staff conducts many creative activities to engage the residence. I know this because they post photos on Facebook, and then I follow up with telling my dad that he was a celebrity again today!

Wonderful facility! Fabulous staff! Caregivers that treat your loved ones as if they were their own family! The apartments are spacious and gorgeous. Modern and bright. The life enrichment team does a great job with activities for the residents, staff and families. From bingo to celebrations to happy hours...there is always something going on. My mother loves it here!!

My brother is going to the StoryPoint Waterville. The visit was very professional and very informative, and it was a really nice place. They have crafts, they have an exercise room, and they have a physical therapist on hand. Some of their amenities were a barbershop, a family doctor who is available, and day trips to various places around the city.

My father needed a more secure facility for his wondering and I wanted him near me. Story Point fit the bill. They had a room all ready for his arrival. The first day, everyone who would be working around him stopped by to introduce themselves. I thought that was so nice even if dad wouldn't remember them after that. Filling out paperwork of his likes and dislikes was easy. The staff were so kind and compassionate with dad. They call when he has a bad day and update me. I have found that everyone to be professional and caring. He enjoys all the activities they offer. He never complains about his food. I had a couple meals with him and I found them to be delicious and eye pleasing with color and texture. I would not hesitate one bit to tour and place a loved one here.

I like StoryPoint Waterville. It's new and beautiful, and the person who gave us the tour, Lindsay, was very nice. We met with the nurse and the chef, and they were both very professional, very good, and very knowledgeable. We saw both the enhanced living and independent living. The rooms are fairly new and adequate for what we were looking for. I think they gave us a choice between something in enhanced living and something in independent living. The price was probably higher there, but they were more inclusive -- like there are three meals a day. The staff also brought the dinner meal to our house for us to try. It's very bright inside, well lit, and very nice, and they have friendly staff, too.

Responsive is the word that comes to mind when I think about the staff at Story Point Waterville (SPW). When I first started calling Senior Living Facilities, SPW was the only place where I immediately spoke with the Sales/Marketing Manager. SPW was also the only place that let my mother and I come and tour the facility. When I wanted to know about the quality of the food, the Sales Manager let mom and I pick anything off the menu, and the kitchen would have it ready for us by the time the tour was over. We could judge for ourselves the quality of SPW’s food. That is having confidence in your product. Senior Living is not cheap, and SPW worked with us, to find an equitable and affordable solution. SPW partnered with us and SPW worked to gain our business. I respect that. I find the entire staff to be helpful, friendly and responsive. I know if I call the front desk about an issue my mom is having, I know it will be taken care of. My concerns are not ignored. As a family member of a resident, this is very important. My mother's apartment is spacious, clean and well maintained. The Maintenance Team has been very gracious, prompt and professional in solving the few minor issues with mom’s apartment. The onsite Activities Staff has been helpful in getting my mother engaged in activities, outside of her apartment. They were also helpful in arranging onsite salon appointments. My encounters with the House Keeping staff are all positive, and they never balk about an extra request, like: “Please vacuum under the bed.” The food at SPW is excellent. My mother always says how good her meals are. As a family member, it is important for me to know what is happening with my loved one. I feel that all members of SPW treat both me, and my mother, with dignity and respect. I am kept well-informed. During this difficult time of Covid-19, SPW was proactive in protecting our Seniors. The Executive Director kept family members informed on the status of the vaccine, visitation, dining and whatever else would be relevant. My mother and I are both pleased with the choice of SPW Senior Living. We both feel that mom is in a safe place and is well taken care of. I am grateful for the care, service and attention SPW provides to my mother and me. Five Stars. I would definitely recommend. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident in Enhanced Living since the summer of 2019. Her one-bedroom apartment is bright and her belongings and furnishings make it into a very pleasant personal space. The amenities at StoryPoint include attractive dining rooms for communal meals, outdoor seating areas, indoor lounge areas for small or more numerous groups, a hair salon, a pool table area, cafe, bistro, and a van for occasional help with transportation. The activity calendar, which is planned with great diligence and enthusiasm by the Activity Coordinators each month, is chock-a-block with things to do: Happy hours, cooking, crafting, excursions, films, lectures, bingo... if you can think of it, it's probably on the schedule somewhere. But the aspect of the community that means the most to me is the friendly and trustworthy staff. I feel that they see Mom as a person who is living her life every day, as well as a resident who relies on them for so many things. Particularly during the distancing measures during COVID this past year, it was hard seeing so little of her, yet I knew she had the protection and care of so many people. The various directors and coordinators--and even the chef and restaurant staff!--make themselves available to discuss problems or requests with families when the need arises. The move into a managed care community is a difficult one, but many people at StoryPoint are helping my mom--and, frankly, me--make the transition.

StoryPoint Waterville was very, very good. The staff was very good. If my mother was going to one, that's where I will send her. I walked through it and talked to them. It's a classy place. The apartments were fine. For senior citizens that's not going to have the mobility like I would have, I think they're fine. It's a very clean place. They had a memory care unit, and they had medications and things that my mom would have needed to have in order to get by.

My mother has been a resident of StoryPoint for the past 6 months. She loves everything about StoryPoint and mentions often how happy she is. She loves her spacious two bedroom apartment where she uses the second bedroom as her office. Her apartment also has two bathrooms and a full kitchen. My mother usually eats breakfast and lunch in her apartment but StoryPoint has a Cafe and a Bistro available with wonderful food that we have enjoyed. She has gained a little weight due to the marvelous "chef" prepared dinners which is included in her rent. Residents receive a weekly menu so they can pick out their meals in advance if they choose. Families can also enjoy the meals for a low fee. The staff is friendly, courteous and cares about you as a resident. They have an employed bus driver which takes the residents on scheduled outings and will also take you to your scheduled appointments if needed. They plan daily activities and there is something for everyone to card clubs, cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts and many more. They bring in musicians and have many parties with food and drink. My mother has become part of a community where friendships have been made and she has been active and happy.

My parents have been at StoryPoint for over a year now. I love that the staff are friendly and helpful with them and know me when walk in. Its a great feeling knowing that my parents are well taken care of and I don’t need to worry about them. Their apartment has much of the furniture from their house so it is definitely home. Everything is taken care of for them.... dinner, cleaning and there are many activities. I have dinner at StoryPoint often. The food and service is excellent!

Mom moved up from Florida after having some major health issues over the past two years. She has been living at StoryPoint for a year and I believe her quality of life has improved. A selling point was she could have her two dogs with her! Plus the staff is outstanding! It's hard to get a hold of her sometimes because she is always doing something. A resident can be as active as they want to be but they can't be a wall flower and hide. Mom enjoys her new friends. Having her closer in proximity gives me peace of mind.

My brother actually found StoryPoint and after visiting the facility we knew immediately we couldn't have found a more perfect place for our Mother. Every staff member is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The fact that they respond to help Mom so quickly is a great comfort to our family. We have seen so many improvements in Mom's well-being. The atmosphere is calming and beautiful. The amenities are wonderful especially dining. Her one bedroom apartment is spacious, bright and cheerful. The clincher was the content and smiling faces of the residents. I am delighted with the choice made to establish my Mother's future at StoryPoint.

My mom is here and in a studio room. This room is very roomy and allows plenty of light in all rooms. Staff couldn’t be nicer to mom and they call us by our names. They are all so kind and personal. And have many activities for all the residents. We love it here. Thank you.

The decision to move my mother from her home of 35 years to Story Point was very very difficult in itself - yet I can honestly say Story Point has made this choice much easier. The rooms are brand new and housekeeping does a great job of keeping them clean on a daily basis. Every staff member from the wellness director to the food server has been positive and easy to work with. Everyone looks out for all the residents there and know them all by name and what food they like/dont like! Highly recommend!

I met with Tina and many staff members and was very impressed with the facility. I was equally impressed with Tina's honesty in helping me make a decision on where my ZMom needs to be and the services she requires. Although Stoneypoint is still constructing an assited living/memory care facility-my Mom need these services now-so when they do open these facilities, we will be on the list as perspective residents.
