"We took a tour and it was very informative. They can provide everything that we need, so that's why my husband will be moving there. The memory care was more like a little apartment. It's not just a bedroom, so it's a little nicer. I've eaten there a couple of times, and it was quite good. The facility was lovely. It was clean and we liked it. The staff members were very friendly and very helpful. They have all kinds of activities for them."

"Otterbein Pemberville SeniorLife Community is an excellent community. The rooms are clean and bright. We could smell food cooking there, and it was really good. However, the price of that was way above that we couldn't even consider affording it. The staff were amazing. They were wonderful. They answered any questions we had there. They're very thorough. It was a very nice community. It was very well-kept and bright. The rooms were clean and spacious. They had their own bathrooms and their own little kitchenettes in their rooms."

"I met with Diana, the sales representative of Landings of Oregon, and she was very knowledgeable about the place and the benefits. She seemed to know all the staff and the residents' first names. So, it wasn't all about the money. When you walk in, it has a very nice entryway. Everything was computerized and COVID protocols were being followed. No one can just walk in and out without registering or being noticed by a member of the staff. The facility was very clean and there were sitting areas that made it feel more like home."

"My mom came here for respite care 5/1 to 5/14. The staff was so nice and accommodating to my Mom. My Mom was anxious at first and then enjoyed it so much she didn’t want to leave. They have a big tv room my mom and many of the residents really enjoyed! That is a very good thing that I wish other places had. Thank you to the staff! Excellent! My mom also enjoyed the food and dining area. Joe came out of the kitchen and greeted her and introduced himself. That was really nice. He came out multiple times making sure everyone had anything they needed. Very nice! "

"I was very interested in Browning Masonic Community. It’s absolutely beautiful and they have condos. It’s in a park-like setting, like a golf-course setting, and it’s beautiful. They have a large area, a large building you can move into as you need more help, and they have a lot of activities. I was very impressed with it."

"St.Clare Commons has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted immediately by a smiling face. Our tour was fantastic, the entire community is beautiful and throughout the place everyone we passed said hello...(residents and staff alike). The residents seem very happy there. When we visited they were having happy hour in the lounge and we heard laughter and warm greetings. I hope to have my loved one move in here! "

"My mom moved into Elizabeth Scott Community. We chose this because it was a convenient location, and my in-laws had gotten there previously. The staff members are very caring and available to my mom. They do have activities, but my mom doesn't tend to go down very much."

"We visited Henderson House before Christmas. I like how personable and interested they were in providing exactly what my mom needs. They were flexible with the terms of what she wanted or didn't want, and they did it in a very welcoming way. I really wanted her to consider going there, but she is not ready to resolve that level of independence because she wants to remain as independent as possible. So, she just doesn't want to do that, but it would have been the ideal place. They were very engaging, very professional, and understanding of the population and the needs of their tenants. You could tell they were really kind-hearted people. I had a lasagna dinner there, and it was delicious. The physical size of the rooms was a little crowded. The community rooms were a little bit small, too. There were common spaces and kitchens, and then everybody had their own individual rooms. Some of the rooms have their own bathrooms, and some have shared bathrooms, so there's some flexibility with that."

"Sunshine Children's home offers adult day services and respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The property has a number of facilities for these individuals to use from computer labs to gardening areas. The employees were very friendly. They answered my questions with enthusiasm and communicated with the residents just like the would communicated with anyone else. They did not treat them any differently because of their disabilities. The majority of the people who work there have been there for five years plus. The area on which the facility is located is very spacious, I believe it is about 25 acres. There is a main building and then cottages spread out. Many therapeutic activities are available such as horseback riding, animal activities, swimming and arts and crafts. There is a special building for overnight respite care which can be from one night to two weeks so caregivers can get a break. The only negative to this building is that it only contains eight beds so respite care waiting lists are very long. "

"We visited Wolf Creek. The staff was very knowledgeable, very kind, and had been there for a number of years. The place was very clean, luxurious, and way above my price range. They have occasional field trips and parties."

"We had my father-in-law in Kingston Residence of Perrysburg and everything was really nice. Everybody was really nice and the facility was excellent. It's just way too expensive. They kept him quite busy. They have exercises, they went for a bus ride, and the food was always really nice. The staff was very caring and always right there for the patient. They did their laundry, and they have a courtyard and exercise room."
