Artis Senior Living in Bridgetown specializes in memory care. It is evident in the care given to the residents that providing quality care is the expectation. Our mother was a resident of Artis in Bridgetown for 53 days and we visited her daily. My brothers and I transferred our mother to Artis from another memory care residence in Oakley. After the move, we quickly realized how poorly managed the previous residence was and how inadequately trained and lacking in compassion many of the care givers and staff from the first residence were compared to staff at Artis. Here are many of the things we noticed while our mother was a resident of Artis in Bridgetown: *Attentive staff and care-partners. Staff at Artis is there to work! They are NOT spending time focused on their cell phones. In fact, you will never see care partners at Artis spending time on their cell phones. Walkie Talkies are used to communicate among staff members. * Well organized responsibilities and jobs and everyone WORKED TOGETHER to help out. The focus was ALWAYS on the residents and their needs. *Care partners and nurses responded promptly, courteously, and willingly whenever we requested help with our mother during our visits or called to check on her. I was NEVER made to feel like I was a bother or taking too much time. In fact, common phrases I heard at Artis were, “I will be back to check on you” and “If you need anything let me know.” *Documentation was completed and readily available regarding our mother’s food consumption, showers, medication, behavior, and mood changes. All records could be accessed quickly when requested. *An activity director is there DAILY. She escorted residents to the activity room throughout the day and after dinner to participate in PLANNED, INTERESTING, and FUN activities. Residents were always encouraged to participate! They did NOT spend their day in front of a television. *Staff spoke to residents respectfully. I NEVER heard anyone raise their voice in anger or speak rudely to residents. Staff NEVER walked past a resident without a SMILE and cheerful HELLO. *Mom’s room was always CLEAN and smelled so fresh. Trash was emptied daily. Laundry did not pile up. Clothes were cleaned, folded and placed neatly in drawers. Bedsheets were changed once a week or as needed. *My brothers and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Artis of Bridgetown if you are searching for a residence specializing in memory care. We are GRATEFUL to the ENTIRE STAFF at Artis for treating our mother respectfully and compassionately and for making her final days, days of dignity and peace. We will never forget you.

Artis Senior Living of Bridgetown was purely memory care; the whole facility is. They are one of the nicest in this area. The staff was great. We met a lot of people there, got a chance to talk to a lot of them from the cook to the executive director, and everyone was great. They all seemed very intelligent, on their game, and very open, and honest. It was just a very pleasant experience. I didn't try the food but we went into the kitchen and talked to the cook. We saw how the whole kitchen was laid out, how it was very clean, and how he planned every days' meals. I thought the place was really well-kept.

We like Artis Senior Living of Bridgetown. It was very clean, nice, and brand-new. The rooms they have were very nice, and the staff was extremely nice and professional. After our visit, they sent us home with some newly baked bread, which was nice. I saw residents playing a dice game with a stick. I like that they have areas outside where they let the residents out and plant their flowers. The people who gave us the tour were wonderful.
