"We did a tour of Harmony at Anderson. If my mother's health deteriorated and she needed more help, it's available there. If she had to go short of full nursing or full memory care, it could handle anything short of that. So, she wouldn't have to move to get up there. It's equipped much more for people that are physically and mentally handicapped. The layout of the apartment, for someone that was confined to a wheelchair, or a walker was fantastic. These things were designed so you could roll up underneath them. The cupboards were positioned lower. If I remember right, every doorway, everything you had to pass through was extra wide. It's like somebody laid it out to use a wheelchair in it. If only my mom didn't have friends and is already established at her current place. There's nothing bad you could say about this facility, it's very, very nice. The staff was very good. We did not eat there, so I don't know anything about the meals other than what they told us; how it was prepared, and how they dealt with delivery and stuff. They're a little bit more trying to get people to come to the dining room, so they eat in a social environment, but they do have it where they deliver it to your room. The dining facility is beautiful. It's brand new, shiny, and well laid out. The hallways don't have any dents. It's all laminate flooring and stuff. It's very, very nice. "

It was comforting to see that all the residents looked happy and enjoying themselves. You can tell the staff here go above and beyond to make this community as much like home for their residents as possible. I highly recommend checking this community out. "We visited Deer Park Assisted Living. We enjoyed it. It was a nice visit. The staff was very nice, friendly, and organized. It seemed like a very nice place. The tour went through the entire location. We viewed several rooms, and we walked to the community outside. It was a nice, thorough view of the entire area. Their staffing is one of the strong points I like about them. From the time that we walked in up to the time we walked out, they were very nice. We called back afterwards to ask a couple of questions, and we got some good service. Another reason why we liked it is that they were in the process of upgrading the flooring and trying to make it a very nice place."

"I visited the independent living community of The Summit of Blue Ash, and I liked it a lot. It's just that their 1-bedroom with a den is not really a 1-bedroom with a den. It was more of a 1-bedroom with a small corner that you could do something in. It wasn't even a room, but just like a larger closet. My siblings are literally down the road from where the facility is, so it's convenient for all of them. I like that it's centrally located. The facility is brand-new, so it's nice inside. Meals are all included, but they have a full-size kitchen in the rooms. They also have room for a dining room table and a living room area. I would prefer to have their 2-bedroom apartment because I want an office that is also a sewing room, so that's what I need the second bedroom for. If my kids also come, I have a second bed that they can sleep in. Even though the facility provides an apartment-type thing that they could stay in, that's on a first-come, first-served basis, so if somebody else has it reserved at the same time, then one would get it, and one would not."

"This would have been the one we chose to send my father to. It had more of an open feel for the place. They have higher ceilings and bright rooms. We just walked in and talked to them and did the tour. They had certain nights where they did an open bar deal and it was just like a coffee thing they had with Starbucks. They also said they did cooking classes, which we thought our dad would like more than crafting. In their theater room, they did a lot of history shows and they'd have people come in and do educational stuff on history and all that. Then they had a little courtyard that had a little putting green. They showed us a one-bedroom with a full fridge instead of a mini fridge."

"We toured Traditions of Deerfield and I remember how spacious it was and how friendly the staff there that I'd spoken to. It was spacious where mom could go to different places and do different things, whether playing games here or watching TV over there. They didn't have a stove, but they had a refrigerator and a microwave. Everything seemed pretty nice and relatively new. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a good experience."

"I toured Majestic Care of Cedar Village Assisted Living. It was very well structured. The rooms were very nice. It was open. The lobby and the entryways were very nice. The staff was very helpful. It was very well-built and ornate. I mean, the decorations and everything. The room size was good. The private rooms were laid out very nicely. The atmosphere was very inviting."

"I toured Brookdale Finneytown. It was a little newer and a little larger than the others. The staff were very nice and very professional. It's clean and I like the structure and the layout. It's a little better than some of the others. The room was adequate. The dining area was fine. They did a good job of walking me around."

"I completed my tour of Brookdale Springdale. They wanted me to live there, but we couldn't come to an agreement on prices. The staff was very nice. The rooms were very nice and accommodating. The dining area was nice, too. They have patios and they're nice. It's a nice place."

"I love that Liberty Place Memory Care is a small community. It has individualized attention and their staff was tremendously caring and well attentive to their residents. The room layout was great, but the view wasn't all that spectacular. It was like a murky, nasty pond out back. We were on the back side of the building, but the room itself was very spacious and cozy. They have living rooms in each of the different wings. So, there were many things that could be done in those areas and then they had a center open area. In fact at that time when we were there, the staff was barbecuing and grilling. It was for the staff, though, for morale and to create a wonderful working space for them. If you're just looking for memory care, it seems like an excellent place."
