"My mother lived in Matthew's Hall Otterbein and recieved compassionate memory and end of life care. I am grateful to all the staff who cared for her. They were loving, kind and always went above and beyond. There attention to detail was amazing. When they noticed physical and emotional changes in my mom, they quickly moved to meet her needs and always called to inform me and gain my input. They treated my Mom like their own mother and for that I am grateful."

"When my dad arrived at Florentine Gardens, he couldn't even help us to get him up from a car into a wheelchair. Three weeks later, after 5 days a week of PT and occupational therapy, my dad could walk on his own again. The staff was so nice and helpful and knew his name. The food looked and smelled good. Dad ate nearly all of it. His laundry was cleaned and nothing got lost. It's a real positive place and they did wonders for my dad. "

"After looking for a while to find a good home for my mother we were able to find one in Meadow Brook. The nursing and help staff are very knowledgeable and kind and you can tell that that enjoy there work. They strive to keep a very clean and healthy environment for everyone that is there and they also work to give provide as normal a living standard as people are used to. Even when we make surprise visits we do not have to worry about mistreatment of any kind. The best times are over the holiday, they have a big meal and party for the residents and family, its not the same as being at home but they do there best to try and make as such. We had my mother in three nursing facility's before this one and all had major problems but once we moved her to Meadow Brook everything changed. We are very satisfied with Meadow Brook and would recommend it to anyone with loved ones in need of some place to call home. "

"My mother is currently in Maineville SeniorLife Neighborhood. Her room right now, I'm very, very happy with it. We've been able to decorate it in our own way to make her more comfortable and they let us decorate it with her things from her home. The staff is friendly. Their long-term skilled nursing facility is very nice. I have not tried the food, but it seems like a well-balanced diet that they provide. They have people come in and they do occupational therapy, and speech therapy and she gets exercises. They walk her around with a walker. But there's kind of a staff shortage. They try their best, but there's not as much staff for the people that are there. But they provide good services. If they had more staff, I would give them a higher rating. The occupational therapists are wonderful."

"Twin Lakes was very clean and bright. It's all enclosed. You can get to independent living and assisted living without going outside. The tour was lovely. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They have all the appliances you need, and you can make changes to your apartment. They are very customizable, which was nice. They have a refrigerator, stove, microwave, washer, and dryer."

"We liked The Arbors at Milford. It was clean. It has good people and good food. My father loves the food. The staff is very helpful. They will try in a swiftly manner to get what you want. They have a library and a gym. They do dialysis there. They have assisted living there, too, but he can't do assisted living. They keep it very well. They need to get a new carpet because they've cleaned it so much that it's kind of faded in places. Other than that, they are always painting and fixing whatever needs fixing. They're right on it. Value for money is very good."

"I have visited Montgomery Care Center. I liked it a lot because they accept Medicaid, but the bad thing about it is that it's not a secure facility, and since my mother has Alzheimer's, I'm afraid she'll wander away. However, I would recommend this place. I thought Montgomery Care Center was clean, and it had a very nice environment. They had been very accommodating. "

"Margret J. Thomas Inpatient Care Center was generally fantastic. Once we decided to transition from the hospital, they were super helpful when trying to listen to what my dad wanted. They also trained me and helped me understand what to expect, how to care for his body physically, how to listen to him emotionally, and how to attend to many of his needs. It was extraordinary. They also offer food service and it was decent. My dad wasn't eating a lot, but they were trying to get him to eat as much as possible. I was flabbergasted at how beautiful the rooms and grounds were. All the rooms had huge bay windows that looked out on beautiful landscaping. It was just lovely."

"In 2011, I had to have emergency surgery shortly after my husband had had a knee replacement. While I was in for surgery, my husband was taken to this facility since he couldn't be alone, not able to walk yet. I was in the hospital for 4 days and was brought to this facility for recuperation and physical therapy. We were there together for 2 weeks, in separate rooms. We were able to eat meals together, watch tv and just be together during this traumatic time. We were treated extremely well. The staff is very caring and if you rang for someone, they were there immediately. High praise for this facility!"

"Mom has been with Mason Health Care Center for quite a while and doing quite well. The place is very clean. I think they're probably a little short-staffed like a lot of places that I've seen (we've been through a few places), but they managed. I think the nurses are very good. They do pretty well with the activities, external and internal. They have bingo and different events, and they also go out to places. The only negative is their food. They need a cook, a chef, or somebody who knows how to put food groups together. Sometimes they don't even have food in the full food groups. They just put something together that doesn't make sense. Mom might get pasta, jello, and pie or something like that at dinner. You need your proteins."

"Cottingham Retirement Community has a huge advantage to the rest of the facilities we visited. It's less than a mile from my house, it's very clean, and it's been newly updated decor-wise. If I had any complaints at all, it's that the apartments were a little bit small. The people were lovely, the activities were good, and the size of the building was excellent for my mother. Right now, that's our number one choice. Everybody lives pretty much together, and Mom would technically be assisted. Most of the people we met were wonderful. We met lots of staff that day, and they were all very kind and concerned. We met a lot of residents who all were very happy. I was quite impressed. It's a very homey place. They don't worry about being exquisite. They've got a homelike atmosphere. There were people gathered down in the main lobby just chatting. There was one small area they were still redoing that was kind of closed off, but otherwise the place was immaculate."
