"We chose Otterbein Union Township for dad because they had full nursing care and they're very accommodating to our needs. They have a courtyard and they've been keeping the place fairly clean. He's using his Medicare benefit right now to pay for it. I think he likes the food, too."

"My Aunt is in the care center ( JOKE) that has been a complete problem from the get go. They never told her where to go to eat first day didn’t eat she was told have to go to dining room not true!! They have changed her meds against her pcp and discontinued another that has put her into withdrawals. She complained now the staff ignores her. She ya fallen going to the bathroom instead of helping comment of “ GREAT ANOTHER REPORT” was said. This place is a hazard to human health. How these places exist or get away with this is crazy in my eyes."

"My aunt has moved into Siena Gardens Rehabilitation & Transitional Care. They are very nice and very polite. It is a clean and very nice-looking facility. It is very homey, and it's almost like her own home. She's in her own room and she has a beautiful bathroom. It's all upgraded and everything is wonderful. They treat her like she's their own relative. The staff is overwhelmingly helpful. When we first got there, she was quite confused and they just played along and helped her. They were overly helpful. They cut up her food and they're just very doting on her. They'll run down the hallway and peek in and talk to her. They're just very helpful, kind, and considerate people. I'm very happy with this place. This is the nicest one I've ever seen, and it doesn't smell. I was there when she had all of her meals and I've tried them. I don't know who's cooking, but the chicken meals that they make are awesome. My aunt loves her fish. She said they fry it perfectly. It is well- balanced and it's fulfilling. They have different types of activities with the residents. They did something with a banana split. They did movies and they played bingo. With the community this past Thursday, the residents dressed up, went outside, and did a trunk-or-treat with the kids in the neighborhood. The residents got to see all the kids dressed up, and my aunt just thought that was the greatest thing in the world. And they did it during the day so they could see them."

"So far, our experience with The Glen has been great and the staff is very caring. My aunt had to spend a couple of weeks in the nursing unit to get her strength back. They sat down with me, I met with the head chef, the activities director, the executive director, the social worker, and the nurse in charge. We sat in the conference room and we discussed what my aunt's needs would be and how best to meet them. In terms of activities, you name it and they offer it. Yesterday, some of the ladies got together and they baked cookies, and they also have a little putt-putt area. The residents can come and go as they please, and the community is right next to a park. The dining experience is like a five-star restaurant, because they serve you, and they have good selections. Also they have a couple of coffee shops, and a salon. My aunt's room is a studio apartment, there's a kitchenette with a microwave, a half refrigerator, and a sink. She has a nice full bathroom with a seat in the shower."

Her oxygen concentrator failed, backup tanks were empty, and nurses delayed responding—even during emergencies. I found her soaked through her bedding, left unattended, and without her necessary medications like Humira. Despite repeatedly telling staff this was not her normal behavior, they showed little urgency. Her breathing worsened, and only after multiple requests did they order a chest X-ray. She contracted Influenza A during her stay and passed away shortly after. This facility was supposed to help her heal. Instead, it failed her completely. I wouldn’t trust them with anyone I love."

"I was at Arbors for a week for rehab a few days ago…if i didn’t have a cat, as I told Admission person, I’d move right in to one of their assisted living rooms…food good, staff, at times, great but all staff, housekeeping to management friendly, caring and helpful. I had a room to myself, which was fantastic. My view out my window was of trees and bushes and I got to see all kinds of birds and butterflies, as there is a nature center nearby. She is in a shared room, which is spacious, and they keep it clean. They have activities from morning until night, and she can choose which ones she would like to participate in. Once a month, they have a big birthday party and the birthday girl gets balloons on her wheelchair and a crown on her head, and then they have cake, ice cream, and entertainment. "
