"My mother is currently in Maineville SeniorLife Neighborhood. Her room right now, I'm very, very happy with it. We've been able to decorate it in our own way to make her more comfortable and they let us decorate it with her things from her home. The staff is friendly. Their long-term skilled nursing facility is very nice. I have not tried the food, but it seems like a well-balanced diet that they provide. They have people come in and they do occupational therapy, and speech therapy and she gets exercises. They walk her around with a walker. But there's kind of a staff shortage. They try their best, but there's not as much staff for the people that are there. But they provide good services. If they had more staff, I would give them a higher rating. The occupational therapists are wonderful."

"My grandmother and grandfather lived separately at this facility for many years. Way back when my grandmother worked at this facility so I got a look at it from both views. The staff once were very caring and responded to emergencies quickly. However I notice a decrease in security. This facility is very large separated in 3 different buildings, there are usually only 3-5 nurses there at all times which in my opinion seems a bit of a small number. They don't really keep good track of their patience, I called awhile back because no one could fin d my grandmother, they were unaware that she went with my aunt. I'd say the pros are the activities they have such as cards, church for those who are religious, the convenient dining room, the bands that play occasionally, guests are welcome anytime, pet friendly and the friendly staff. I'd say the cons are the lack of security, the lack of staff, the high cost of living there, and the lack of laundry rooms. "

"I am in Loveland Health Care Center for rehab. They are helping me back on my feet. I fell and hurt my back, my knee, and my arm, and I can't walk. I got some broken bones in my back. The staff members here are very attentive. They help you do anything you need. The facility is very clean, and mostly, the food is good. The room I'm in could be better. It's a semi-private one, but it's not bad. They have all kinds of programs, too. They have bingo, games, cooking, and puzzles. They have a general store and church services. They have music and all kinds of arts and crafts classes, too. It's different every day."

"Mom has been with Mason Health Care Center for quite a while and doing quite well. The place is very clean. I think they're probably a little short-staffed like a lot of places that I've seen (we've been through a few places), but they managed. I think the nurses are very good. They do pretty well with the activities, external and internal. They have bingo and different events, and they also go out to places. The only negative is their food. They need a cook, a chef, or somebody who knows how to put food groups together. Sometimes they don't even have food in the full food groups. They just put something together that doesn't make sense. Mom might get pasta, jello, and pie or something like that at dinner. You need your proteins."

"My mom has moved into Quaker Heights Care Community. It is very good. I'm very happy with them so far. No complaints. The building itself is very modern and very clean. It's just a great- looking facility inside and out. The staff are very attentive and very professional. It seems like they genuinely care about the residents. My mom doesn't take part in any activity. She has no hobbies or anything. She's kind of a loner, so I don't know what activities they offer. I have seen that they have a whole bunch of books there to read, and I know they do bingo. It looks like they have lots of things for the residents to do if they want to do them. My mom's room is clean and neat. They got it well prepared for her before she moved in there. They did some touch-up painting and such. It's a good comfortable room. I would highly recommend it. I think it'd be a great place where they'll care for loved ones, and I think families would be very happy with that. I'm very happy with the staff. I haven't tried the food, but my mom enjoys the food there."

"Overall The Lodge does a pretty good job. Some of the employees act nonprofessional, but most seem to enjoy their jobs and some are honestly terrific. The latter call when an issue arises or a change in medication occurs, etc. Almost everyone is friendly, smiles and speaks to me when they see me. I wish my family member had more room for personal items and the lighting in the room is horrible."

"Had two friends who stayed there long term. Wonderful caring little place. Small but staff really cares about the patients. Personal touch for sure. Clean and beautiful. Activities are second to none. Highly recommended. "

"My wife is in a rehab convalescent home at Batavia Nursing Care Center. She has been staying there for over two years now. She loves it. The staff there is excellent. They all seem to be very caring and everything. She hits a buzzer and they're right there. They take good care of her. They do everything for her. They cut her food up, they use a Hoyer lift to get her in and out of bed, and she has a wheelchair that they push her around in. She seems to like the food, too. She says they give her enough. They have very good maintenance on the buildings, like if the clock is wrong, they fix it. The rooms are excellent. The yards are all cut and clean. There is no garbage going around. They allow pets there. I take my pup in there to my wife and all the attendants and nurses come and look at him and play with him. My wife seems to like activities. They play bingo, horse races, and a few other games. They have dinners like Christmas and Thanksgiving, and stuff for the people and their families. I don't have any complaints about the place."

"Christian Village at Mason was very nice. The garden home was very well-appointed. As a new homeowner comes in, they take all the carpet out, repaint it, and they will make sure that everything is deep cleaned. There were no odors. All the plumbing and the electrical appliances were functioning at the highest level. The exercise rooms, the chapel, the common areas, and the grounds were very well done. They were all maintained at the highest level. The staff that we met during the tour was very knowledgeable. They listened well and they answered our questions very directly. They were straightforward. They talked about the facts, and it was extremely important to me that they don't try to sugarcoat anything. "

"I'm staying at SEM Haven. It's excellent care. The building is well kept and the grounds are well kept. There are nurses and aides and they all know their job. They offer meals, and the food is great. There's television, and there's rehab and things like that. My ex and my daughter come out and my other daughter, too, and we play card games and puzzles and we do walking. My room got a restroom, closets, curtains, toilet and tub, and things like that."

"We looked at many nursing homes when finding a new home for my mother. Most nursing homes when you went in during the middle of the day everyone was in bed sleeping this home everybody was awake doing activities and seem to be extremely happy. You can tell that the staff genuinely cares. They went above and beyond to make sure that my mom had everything necessary. This is a very extremely difficult decision for anybody but I highly recommend this place. My mother was in the Alzheimer's dementia care unit or memory care unit as they call it it was wonderful. When my mother begin to actively die they actually put her in a different room so my father was able to stay with her until the end they are amazing. I can't see any other nursing homes doing that especially since the fact that my mom was on Medicaid and was not self-pay I feel a lot of nursing homes treat those patients differently. "
