"This community has gone through a change in management in about the last year or so. All I can say is that we saw such a positive impact in the care for our loved one. No place is perfect but I can tell you that the leadership team and the core staff really care and try their best to give the residents a happy and safe home. Highly recommend!"

"We toured Traditions of Deerfield. The person who took us through was very pleasant, and it's a very nice environment. Everything seems to be very congenial. It was nice, neat, and clean, and the whole nine yards. The rooms are nice size. We looked at a one-bedroom. I guess you call it an apartment, a living room, and a bedroom. They have a place where they have happy hours. The dining room was nice. They have a library and a nice courtyard. They have a menu, and whatever we saw looked like it would be good. It was a nice variety of choices and whatever."

"My husband was in Garden Manor for rehab. They were teaching him to walk again, and the rehab price was very good. The people were very nice, and they had good activities and food. It was a nice place with large and nice rooms. "

They let us know they're there whenever we want to call with more questions or to come with my mother-in-law to visit. It looks like a lovely facility. The rooms were nice and clean. It seemed like they were good-sized. "

"I toured Beehive Homes of Liberty Township. I liked the fact that they were small-scale. I felt like if I'd been there I could have gotten more one-on-one and more personal attention. It was a very clean facility. The staff was very caring. I have no experience with them, but just from what I observed, they seemed nice and caring."

"I liked it. Their technology is state of the art. They have sensors in every apartment that can monitor any type of quick movement. If an elderly person falls, it's almost like a heat sensor reading, it's kind of a blobby photo, but you can see and notify staff that the resident has fallen. I love that technology and that's in every apartment. I love the fact that the dining room is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., so if my dad slept until noon and wanted breakfast, he could get breakfast. They had lots of activities. We preferred them just for that cutting-edge technology. We looked at assisted living, but we liked the fact that if it got to that, we could keep him in the same facility and just move him into memory care. Any time of the day, if a resident walks in the dining hall, they have a motion sensor that notifies the kitchen that somebody is there, so they don't have to have servers out in the dining room all the time. The technology notifies them that somebody has entered the dining room and they go out and take the person's order. The apartments were beautiful. There was a men's club, movies, card playing, board games, and jigsaw puzzles. They did excursions out into the community that residents could sign up for and take part in. They had guest speakers come in and talk about health issues and things like that, little info sessions that the residents could attend."

"We moved my dad in. It is very nice and very attractive. Very attractive grounds. Very nice interior when you first walk in. The staff has been wonderful so far. They have activities, and my dad has been going to them and seems to enjoy them. They play games with them in the morning. They have a nice big room where they bring them all in together and play some games with them. The dining area is very nice. The food is just okay. It's still institutional food, but it's nourishing. I wouldn't say it's excellent, but I'd say it's good. The staff has been very, very good."

"We visited the assisted living facility of Fairmont of Washington Township, and it's really beautiful. It was just a little out of our price range. The lady who runs it was wonderful. She just had a really great personality and was very kind to my parents. My parents, my mom especially, loved her. She's very helpful, and she still calls every now and then. We were able to sample the food, and it was very good. It was nice that they had options on their menu. The facility was very clean and very nice."

"We were almost decided on Magnolia Springs Loveland, because they were so nice and knowledgeable about what to do with my aunt. The young lady that I met with was very knowledgeable, and she offered me the best information out of all the places that I visited. She spoke about the memory care unit, and she spoke of things that I hadn't even thought about, like about residents feeling confused and not realizing that it's not her home now. I liked the fact that when I walked in, it felt more like a hotel than a senior community. They have movie nights for the residents, they have bingo, and there are other activities they can do as a group or individually. I really liked this place; I was sold on them before I found another place that was closer to me."

"My dad has been in here for a month now. It is an assisted living, lockdown place. It is more like a home than an institution. It has a main shared living area in the center, and then on each side are five bedrooms. The place has two aides 24/7, and then during the day, there is an RN. They have a big kitchen, and they cook real food. Food smells great. My dad says it tastes great too. They cook from scratch. It is all about the patients there. It is really quite a nice comfortable place. This is a very warm family-oriented community. It is quite nice. I like it a lot. They are licensed for 12 residents. There is a patio which it is large, there is a small grassy area, and there is a covered porch. When the weather is nice, they can go out there. It is a memory unit, so you don't go wander the grounds. I like the place, and I like the staff. The place is new, so everything is new and clean. I found it to be priced more comfortably than the larger communities."

"We are having a great experience in this memory care. My mother is so happy here . I never knew this side of her. Mom is so social now she tells me she doesn't want to go home to visit's with me. The staff are wonderful they make it look so easy. I know how hard it is though, and appreciate their dedication to making things easier for our family."

"The facility is very home like and very inviting. The staff is fantastic and give great care. The food is all made by the staff and is very tasty. I would highly recommend optimized, it was a god sent for my father who requires some extra care above the norm. And the cost is very resonable"

"The Wellington at Dayton was my top pick. The building, location, and parking were nice. Inside, the social areas and the dining room were all very nice. The food was good. On each floor, they had a little kitchenette area where they would have a continental breakfast if you didn’t want to go down to the full dining room for breakfast. They had a very nice selection of different things for the residents to be involved in and seemed to have activities that are considered to be good and stimulating for the brain. I saw people sitting around the social areas. It looked like they were talking together and enjoying themselves. They allowed two pets, which is unusual. They had transportation off-site available and usually free within a generous radius around the building of 15 to 20 miles, and you pay a fee if you need to go further than that. It had laundry rooms available on each floor so that you could do your own laundry if you wanted to or if not, they could do it for you. They offered a special move-in rate if you moved in January. When I went back the last week of January, their price had gone up a couple of thousand dollars a month, and I was not real pleased with it. "
