Nursing Home Communities in Lebanon, OH

"Mom has been with Mason Health Care Center for quite a while and doing quite well. The place is very clean. I think they're probably a little short-staffed like a lot of places that I've seen (we've been through a few places), but they managed. I think the nurses are very good. They do pretty well with the activities, external and internal. They have bingo and different events, and they also go out to places. The only negative is their food. They need a cook, a chef, or somebody who knows how to put food groups together. Sometimes they don't even have food in the full food groups. They just put something together that doesn't make sense. Mom might get pasta, jello, and pie or something like that at dinner. You need your proteins."

"Hillspring of Springboro seemed well organized. They seemed engaged with their residents and like they had a lot of good resources available for the residents to do, such as activities, etc. I did not have an opportunity to try their food, but based on my conversations with the lady that's in charge of the admissions, it seemed like they have a pretty good variety of meals, and then they also have outside catering that comes in periodically to provide them with meals as a special. The rooms are sufficient."

"I think Mount Pleasant Retirement Village had a very pretty setting. They had a lot of things to do for the seniors. The eating place was very nice. They had different types of houses for independent living. It was a very big community. I liked the way they handled things, and I liked the way the people seemed so friendly and caring. "

"My mother is currently in Maineville SeniorLife Neighborhood. Her room right now, I'm very, very happy with it. We've been able to decorate it in our own way to make her more comfortable and they let us decorate it with her things from her home. The staff is friendly. Their long-term skilled nursing facility is very nice. I have not tried the food, but it seems like a well-balanced diet that they provide. They have people come in and they do occupational therapy, and speech therapy and she gets exercises. They walk her around with a walker. But there's kind of a staff shortage. They try their best, but there's not as much staff for the people that are there. But they provide good services. If they had more staff, I would give them a higher rating. The occupational therapists are wonderful."

"I have had excellent care here. I'm going to miss all of the people in therapy, especially Jimmy, Cindy, Tiffany and Sejal. I'm sad leaving but happy to ho home. "

"I was a little disappointed with Mason Christian Village because they only have independent houses. It's a beautiful place, but I'm more interested in living in the independent living in the apartment-type thing. The girl who showed us around was very nice, accommodating, and answered all of our questions. The house I saw was large, with a living room, dining room, and a kitchen. It was very nice, but it was not what I was looking for. It was a huge facility and they had a library, dining room, and a lounge. We passed several rooms where people were playing card games and there was an exercise room, so there was quite a bit going on."

"My mom is in the Memory Care unit and all the rooms have been beautifully remodeled. Everyone is so kind and helpful! Would highly recommend this facility!"

"Mom is at Franklin Ridge Healthcare Center. It's nothing fancy, but I like the way it's laid out on one floor, and the rooms are of pretty good size. They keep the place nice and clean. The staff is wonderful. They are very attentive and they call us if there's any concern. The dining area is nice with a lot of windows, and the food seems to be pretty good. My mom eats very well there."

"I like Otterbein Springboro Nursing Home a lot. My mom is in rehab there and it was a good experience. I like the small house concept, that it was more of a home type place instead of a luxury hotel. I liked the style with the small home atmosphere where the residents came right out of their rooms and they could be right there in the living room or kitchen. They ate together, so it was a more family-style atmosphere and I liked that. The food is very good, she gained weight there so I'm thinking that's a plus. They were doing physical activity or rehab and things like that. There are no salons on-premises, it was one house so there's no gym that I'm aware of, but they have a courtyard. The other things were pretty much contained in the house."

"I am currently in rehab at Austin Trace Health and Rehabilitation. They have nice activities, a lot of socials, and games. You can get out of your four walls and do something. So they have a happy hour. The problem is I'm a vegetarian. They're having trouble accommodating me. The response from the staff is sometimes very, very slow, especially when you need pain medication."

"I visited the Lodge Care Center. The rooms were very large and nice. They had lots of things going on, like trips and things for people to do. They served two meals a day. "

"My mother is in Carlisle Manor. It is very clean and very family orientated. The nurses have been there for 37 years, 25 years, so there must be something good about it. They love their job. They explain everything to the fullest, and help you adjust with what you're going through. My sister said the food is very good. There is a coordinator for the activities. They keep them busy a lot. They have bingo and different things like that. We get what we pay for."

"It was a pleasure to be here at Loveland Health and I would recommend the place. What I really liked most is the comfort. The food is above average and the staff was helpful. They have activities like Bingo and cards. I’m pretty happy here. "
