"Bellbrook Rehab and Healthcare Center, was an ok facility. I visited to see a family member that was put into the facility. The staff seemed to be just a tab bit busy when I was there, like they did not have enough help. They consistently seemed short staffed. The Building is well taken care off. The environment seemed very clean. They were doing activities with the residence but they dint seem to have a huge variety of things for them to do, just your basics like bingo and card games. The staff was not the friendliest people I ever met but they were not blatantly rude either. A few employees were over the top with their actual care, while others lacked a bit. I would probably not want to put some there that is extremely close to me, I think I could find a better place with more activities and better staffing. Over all I would say it isn't the greatest place to house your loved ones but not the worst either. "

"My mom has been a resident here for over 9 weeks now. So far I like what I see. I visit pretty much every other day, sometimes every day, sometimes skipping 2 days in a row. She is well taken care of and they are very kind to her. She has told me often that she doesn't want to leave here; she looks very happy most of the time. Everyone knows her name, and I feel she gets personal care and the nurses take time with her. The kitchen staff are wonderful, as are the ladies who clean the rooms. Most everyone is friendly and seem caring. The facility does not have a nasty odor when you walk into the front door like most rest homes do. If the quality changes I will certainly post a review reflecting that. I'm sure no place is perfect and there are issues everywhere, but saying that I will also say this- you can't please every one, and some people are just nasty and would complain if they found a hundred dollar bill because it was wrinkled. Also not sure that an occasional visit qualifies a person to make a sound judgement call. "

"I stayed at St. Leonard Franciscan Living Community to recover from a complete knee replacement. I have also stayed at two other Living Care/Rehabilitation Facilities in the Dayton area and found St. Leonard's to be far superior in many ways. The nursing staff is responsive to needs; the Physical Therapy specialists are compassionate and also assertive in moving along the recovery process; the food is very good and the location is convenient to both my Mother's home and my own; and the cost of that facility was far lower than the alternatives. They even had a wired Internet connection in my room, so I could feel more comfortable in having a more secure connection to the Internet. "

"I am currently in rehab at Austin Trace Health and Rehabilitation. They have nice activities, a lot of socials, and games. You can get out of your four walls and do something. So they have a happy hour. The problem is I'm a vegetarian. They're having trouble accommodating me. The response from the staff is sometimes very, very slow, especially when you need pain medication."

"The facility was really nice. It was well kept and very clean. The staff did a good job getting to call lights most of the time. It seemed like there weren't enough aides as there should have been. The managers didn't seem to care for the residents as much as they should have. Everyone was really nice at the facility. The activities staff seemed to be very busy. They had the activity calendar posted outside the activity room. Each day the residents had the option to attend at least 5 activities. The dietary department had good cooks. However, the food didn't always get to the residents as fast as it should have. The kitchen always had several choices for each meal. There was always multiple different items such as cottage cheese, or mashed potatoes, different soups and sometimes grilled cheeses for substitutes that the residents could get at any day for lunch or dinner. Overall, the facility was a nice place. "

"Why don't more hospitals refer patients to this amazing place for their rehab? My stay here was outstanding! I realize most hospitals now have their own IPR units or facilities they're contracted with. I've heard of preferred providers too, but they're missing the point! I viewed my stay at Otterbein Springboro's rehab as a sort of extension of my hospital stay. It was easy to believe the hospital social worker really cared about what I needed when I was sent to Otterbein Springboro. This place is amazing! It's nothing like a traditional nursing home! It's set up like a house. I cooked for myself as I regained my strength and the aides helped me when I couldn't. A young man named Kyle came to see me while I was still in the hospital. He was the first face of Otterbein for me, and let me just tell the ladies, he's an awful nice face to see ;). He was so sweet and kind! He told me all about what Otterbein Springboro could offer me and for the first time I felt good about going anywhere other than home. What a find that young man is for Otterbein! I have visited friends in other rehab facilities (we're all at that age where we're breaking hips) and Otterbein Springboro absolutley cannot be beat! "

"The staff people at Heartland are very thorough, very good, and very helpful. They prepare my mom’s meals and if she has to go to the bathroom they’re there to take care of her. They take her to the bathroom, dress her and take care of her personal hygiene every day. The rooms are very nice, very clean, well-maintained, and well-lit. It’s very cheerful, there’s lots of color everywhere, so it’s very nice. I’ve eaten there a couple of times, and the food is very good. They have movies, they watch TV together, and they have mind activities to help with memory, physical activities like toss the balls all around, and entertainment like magicians that come to do shows and singers. They have a lot of activities. Their main problem is at night time when I want to call my mom, it’s hard to get hold of her. It takes a long time to get the telephone answered and to get her on the phone. Because she doesn’t have a phone in her room, they have to go get her and bring her to the telephone and it takes a long time for them to do that. But they’re very good and I’m really pleased with them. "

"My dad had to spend about 2 months in the dementia unit after he fell and broke his hip, I have to say the first couple days were rough, but after they fired an aide, that was causing dads night time issues, it was smooth sailing. the place is clean, the staff are caring and everyone was welcoming , the only thing I would change is to cook the vegetable longer so they can chew them "

"Hillspring Skilled Nursing Facility was very clean. My dad stayed in a shared room when he was there. It's a big room with a curtain in between. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and I thought they did a really good job. The staff members were all great. They have all the amenities. They provide the meals and they play games and all sorts of stuff. There are a lot of things to do."
