"I did a tour of the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. I like the staff; they were very helpful. The staff was very knowledgeable. I spoke with the social worker and followed up with him. I got a lot of information. The facility was very clean. They posted on the wall, a schedule for the month of activities."

"Physical therapy is one of the best thing in the facility. They are very caring and concern about the patients. Interaction with staff I'd good. My dad enjoy hearing music. "

"My issue is with billing when my mom went on hospice care when I agreed to pay $350 per day for room and board beginning on April 16 2019 for which I sent a check for $2450 to cover from 4/16-4/22. My mom passed away just after midnight on 4/19. I requested a refund for the unused days I paid for. After several phone calls the check arrived for less than expected with no paperwork attached as to how it they justified the amount. I called again asking for a call back to resolve the issue and instead received paperwork showing they were charging for a day prior to going on hospice for which traditional Medicare pays. My wife advised me not to send the payment in advance and wait to be billed I wish now I had listened to her advice."

"My mom was treated very well. Tower Lodge is a smaller facility and as such provided much more personal care. "

"I liked this facility a lot. I felt that the seniors were actively engaging in the activites offered to them Activities were offered almost every other day if not every day. The activities were sometimes repetitive but that might have been to accommodate people who missed an event that he or she was interested in. There were sometimes conflicts at the assisted living center between the elderly but that isn't reflective of the facility. I remember some of the people involved were not able to keep up with the games offered at the same rate as other people, so they often lost out on the opportunity to win cash rewards of gifts. I think they could've offered something such as beginner's bingo and advanced pokino so that people of all skill levels could have fun. The food was dry at times but that might have been to be more palatable for everyone as a whole. They rented vehicles for trips which was considerate as well. "

"My father went to Menlo Park in November of 2018. The facility is amazing. There are so many activities for the residents. Every time we visit, he looks very well taken care of. One of the staff members became good friends with him and they always talk about the old time movie. We are very comfortable knowing he is in good hands."

"I lived at Hartwyck for one year after a severe TBI in 2001-02. The staff was excellent and were responsible for my unbelievable recovery. I was provided every opportunity to make improvement in every area a daily living. I was part of the transitional living program at the hospital. All therapies were provided to insure success. I have retired and moved to a warmer climate and now walk with a cane outside, but no cane inside the house. I drive a car and can care for myself. THANK YOU ALL! "

"Right now, my mom is in a nursing home called Embassy Manor at Edison Nursing and Rehabilitation. My brother and I read the reviews, we checked several places, and that one was on the top. The place is clean, but it seems that they don't have a lot of employees. They have a gym for rehab. They have a dining area but it's not that big. In terms of location, there are a few restaurants there."

"My dad has been at Care One At The Highlands. They have occupational and physical therapists who work really well with the patients. Some patients are resistant to the activities, but they use physical therapists through caring and concern about the patients. They're trying to get them to the next level where they can operate on their own, so they show tough love. I have seen people who could barely get around when they first got in there, but after 3 or 4 weeks, they're up and moving around and have the ability to come inside and outside to get fresh air. They go into a group physical therapy area where they do physical therapy together, which is almost like an aerobics class. They do a lot for the patients. The facility has long term care, and it's huge. They also seem to be very caring. They scale back according to what the patient's needs are, but they're still giving my dad physical therapy to some degree. They really have worked well with him and with us. Sometimes -- especially on weekends -- it can be a little challenging to get the nurses' attention. It takes a while to get them to respond. The physical therapists are the ones who take it up a notch and balances out some of the shortcomings of the nursing staff. "
