"For anyone who needs to find QUALITY care for their loved one in the West Essex / northern NJ area, please - for the sake of your loved one AND you - just go straight to Green Hill. My father was neglected and almost died in another area facility. He was transferred to Green Hill and is doing so much better. They know how to deal with dementia patients - with dignity, respect and true medical care, even during this year of pandemic. The staff is considerate and friendly, the food is good, and their standards during the pandemic are at par with hospital level - and I know, because my husband works at a hospital. The facility looks like, and we learned, was a former hotel/respite site during the 1940s. The inside is spacious, and with social distancing, that's a GOOD thing. My father is limited in his activity level due to his dementia, but our visits have been SO encouraging. We almost lost my father, so believe me when I tell you, this facility was divine intervention."

"While looking for options of senior citizens assistance for my parents I got to Livia. Customer agent via web chat was kind and helpful in providing answers to my queries. As son of senior/ederly parents I want to provide them a wonderful and more enjoyable life for the rest of the time that GOD may have planned for them. Customer agent was very attentive, so I hope the rest of the personnel is as good as him or even better. That would provide a sense of trust and confidence that your love ones will be in good hands."

"Other than parking, Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare was very nice. The lobby was pleasant. When they took me up to see the floors, the facility was pretty clean. The residents that I met there were pleasant. Sometimes, you tour a nursing home and they look miserable, and they didn't seem that way there. The staff was pleasant. They have an activity calendar for the month and they had several things to do daily. Usually in the summertime because it's warm, they have a barbecue every Wednesday. They have a backyard where the residents can go and that was nice, very peaceful, and very green. The dining area was clean, pretty new, and good-sized, and they had a menu. It impressed me. The staff was very helpful and informative. I felt comfortable. I didn't get a bad vibe."

"We were very satisfied with the care that was provided to my grandmother while she stayed at Ditmas Park. The administrator and staff were all attentive to our needs and were very communicative with us. All around they were a pleasure to deal with and we hugely recommend the facility. "

"My issue is with billing when my mom went on hospice care when I agreed to pay $350 per day for room and board beginning on April 16 2019 for which I sent a check for $2450 to cover from 4/16-4/22. My mom passed away just after midnight on 4/19. I requested a refund for the unused days I paid for. After several phone calls the check arrived for less than expected with no paperwork attached as to how it they justified the amount. I called again asking for a call back to resolve the issue and instead received paperwork showing they were charging for a day prior to going on hospice for which traditional Medicare pays. My wife advised me not to send the payment in advance and wait to be billed I wish now I had listened to her advice."

"Alaris Health At Riverton is terrible. It is the worst. You don't want your loved one to be there. I would never recommend it. I can't wait for my father-in-law to get out of there. The TV is breaking down every five minutes. They feed him terrible food. They're OK with care, but it's not ideal. The staff is OK. The people are nice enough, but they're shorthanded. They feed them a hot meal for lunch and a sandwich for dinner. We have to bring him food because he's starving. We talked to the people about our complaints, and they've been very nice about it and trying to be responsive."

"My mom is going to be transferred to AristaCare at Delaire. The reason I picked it was, it's being completely remodeled, so the rooms and bathrooms and the whole building, once the renovation is done, are going to be completely new. The activities that they have there for the seniors are something that I was interested in. The fact that they told me right away that it's not a prison, that I can take my mom for the day as long as she's back by around 8:00, and that I can take her out to places and visit family and stuff, and no other place was telling me that. It's an excellent tour. The staff pointed out more things that I hadn't even thought of. I was very, very impressed by this place. I've known a couple of families that have their mothers there. One lady was there for over 10 years, she just recently passed away, but she was also like 94 years old. And they were always glowing reviews of this place, and I saw it for myself. They're still finishing up the remodeling. They explained before, 'Sorry for the appearance,' but they're restructuring the whole building and modernizing everything, so you certainly can't get mad at that. There's an outdoor area for the residents, and there are picnic tables and a whole bunch of stuff. They even have a large dining room where if you want to have parties for your loved one, they'll help you set up parties and bring the family and the whole thing there."

"I was here for rehab and their staff was great! Very caring and knowledgeable. The food was also very good. I have recommended Clark to friends."

"Westfield Center was a very nice community and the staff was very good. The food wasn't that great, but other than that, the service was pretty good (except for the fact that on Sundays there weren't too many staff members around). The staff was very good and the social worker there was very good. I think it's worth the value for the money because they were very good. We also went through Medicare and Aetna."

"My wife is in Cranford Park Rehab. The original building -- in which she is on the second floor in the C section -- is built like a castle. It must have been something distinct back in the early 1900s. But their level of care from what I understand and according to Dorothy, they are taking good care of her. I said, "Do you like the place?" And she said, "No." It is an older place. there are three in a room, and her bed is by the window, but she said they are taking good care of her. From that standpoint, I would rate it pretty good. But it is a pretty old facility with an add-on. The rooms are old-fashioned looking. I believe they have some activities there, and because I play the saxophone, one time I went over and I played some music for them. "
