"My husband is at The Parc at Joliet. They are in the middle of renovating, and I believe it was an old school, and they have modernized it and they're upgrading a lot of the areas. The insides are getting remodeled and they're watching the patients so that they don't get into any areas where they are doing the renovations. The staff so far has been relatively good as far as I'm concerned. I'm able to get answers when I call and their wound care is especially good. I am very impressed with them. I'm happy with the service. Their pricing is reasonable. They offer several different activities. I don't know of any nursing home anywhere where anybody has said the food is fabulous. He doesn't complain constantly about the food, but he has made comments that the food could be better. There are certain little inconveniences for the visitors, like sometimes there's difficulty getting parking because of the construction."

"I went to Ascension Living Villa Franciscan Place to visit a friend. It was very good and they had a very caring staff. It's a clean facility. No odors or anything. There's an ice cream parlor and it's right next to a hospital, which was convenient. The food looked very well prepared. My friend's room was very nice, bright, clean, and a nice size. So, they were getting their money's worth."

"An older nursing home but kept clean and bright. The care you receive here is awesome!! Hands and heads above ALL the rest of the nursing homes in Illinois!! My mother and my grandmother and a dear friend all stayed here,one very long term(years) and they all were thrilled with the care they received!! Two of them were hard to please people and they had not one complaint with OLA. They have a small bus for places,they have a big chapel where they have church/mass and just caring and responsible employees!! Very well run and no one ran out of anything because they are not foreign owned and the owners care for their employees and residents.If I or anyone I know needs a NH...I would totally recommend OLA!!!"

"My mom has been at Sunny Hill Nursing Home for about a month now. They have every activity for the residents. She is doing therapy, and she is doing a lot better. She has gotten a couple of friends, and it couldn’t have been any better. The food is good. "

"My husband has been in River Crossing of Joliet. He is living there mostly for dementia. They take care of them. They notify me all the time with any problems. The staff is very friendly. He has a great roommate. They treat him nice. I would recommend the home. His room is almost like a hospital setting. They have some private rooms, but he's in a shared room. They have certain days they pick out to have carnival days, fun days, and they always have activities going on. They played bingo. He's busy there, and he doesn't just sit in all day. The staff is terrific. The food is great. It is good that they are in the process of remodeling with new flooring, wallpaper on walls, and paint, so they're slowly upgrading."

"My mother is at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab. The staff is friendly and helpful. They seem to do a good job of making my mother comfortable. It's homey. It's not fancy. I'm comfortable there, and I think my mother is, too. I think they're doing at least an adequate job. From what I can tell, my mother looks like she's comfortable and cared for. They do bingo and play cards. They have puzzles and sing-along days. They try to get them to have company, so they sit with other residents. The facility is clean. It's expensive."

"I am 22. I was 19 when I came in. Even with all the mishaps that occur, this facility is fantastic! I would NEVER take a single thing!"

"Rooms were very nice, I believe at certain times they were understaffed, but at other times they had plenty of people stopping in my room asking if I needed fresh water or something else. I was totally stressed out about being there and probably wasn't easy to get along with at times. Food was pretty good but I am on a low carb high protein diet so I did cheat on my diet..physical therapy was EXCELLENT and I looked forward to it every day!!"

"Lakewood Nursing and Rehab are very helpful in getting my father in law situated. The physical therapy and the nurses have been fantastic, and the staff is all good. "

"Meadowbrook Bolingbrook was a good community, and their staff was good. My husband was there for about a week and I think it’s a good place to go to. They have activities for the residents, and an ice cream shop. Medicare pays for everything for us."

"I was in Lemont Nursing Home for rehab for two weeks. Rehab was fantastic. All of the nurses and the nurse's aides were very nice. However, they used curry in all their food, and I just don't like curry. It was just horrible. At first, I didn't like the place at all. I didn't care for the place. There were some old people sitting around in wheelchairs, and it kind of scared me. Then, I got used to the place; the staff was so friendly and obliging. They had bingo and other activities that I didn't participate in because I was too busy with the rehab. "

"My husband went to the rehab section of Victorian Village. It was clean, and he had a large, private room with a TV, a huge bathroom, and handicapped shower. The rooms were in a square around the outside perimeter of the building, with a kitchen that you can even cook in if you want. You can be fed in your room, or you can go to the dining area and sit at a table. Behind the kitchen is the rehab facilities. The staff spoiled him. They were friendly, and it was like home. The nurses would visit, sit, and chat with him. He could play cards, watch TV, and sit in the screened porch when the weather was decent. Rooms were on the first and second floor and had a living room, sofas, and chairs, like you would have in your own home. "

"Mom was there for rehab and it was absolutely wonderful! After her stroke, they prepared special meals for her as she needed soft food. Mom loved their food and ate without any complaint. The rooms are cheery and bright. Staff was wonderful and always interacted with mom. They have the best therapists around. I cannot say enough for this facility. I highly recommend it!"
